I assume they don’t want to bring too much attention to the new actor since they just recently announced Charles retirement from voicing the character. Since as far as I’m concerned he was the most well known voice of Mario (in the games anyway)

And yet it still can’t read my micro as card, might need to get my switch fixed.

Whether you find the voice annoying or not, it’s hard to deny how iconic it is, it wasn’t the first voice for the character and it won’t be the last, but it’ll be the voice I think of when I think of Mario. (In the games anyway, there’s also the one from the cartoons)

@Rainz ah, that makes more sense, I guess Metroid itself is more know than the character it stars, now that I think about it a lot of people were probably surprised by Samus being a female in the original NES game

gonna be odd hearing Mario with a different voice since Charles been voicing him for 20 something years so its very iconic, I just hope its not terrible

@Markiemania95 well there currently working on a another IP, Mina The Hollower so it might be a while before we get a new Shovel Knight game, seeing as they probably want to be known for making other games besides Shovel Knight

@Slinkoy1 well it’s gonna be dlc 2 years after launch so if it’s anything like octo-expansion I don’t think most people will mind that much

@KBuckley27 there probably waiting for September for a full direct, this game was probably just the closest to finishing considering it’s releasing this summer

GameStop used a be an amazing place to go as a kid, I haven’t been able to go to it since it closed down in my town so nowadays if I wanted a physical game I could just order it on Amazon
