I'd check out some of the games from these crazy sales... But without folders, I am not going to load up on <$5 games that I'll have to sift through

This would have been great... if we hadn't waited a year and a half for it. After all that time without a Direct, I was expecting some sort of mic drop moment.

I'm interested in Project Triangle and possibly double dipping on Skyward Sword, but otherwise, it was just ok.

The folks on the Nintendo podcast there seem to love that game. They originally have it a 9.6. That's so strange

I'm buying this for either XBox or PS4... but I'd absolutely double dip for a Switch port.

Edit: Unless they released it as a cloud version on Switch, at which point I'd pass.

I enjoy grinding when it's by choice. But if it's required to do so for hours in order to continue, no.

To this day, my favorite grinding was in X-Men Legends 1, in the danger room missions. My brother and I spent hours doing those over and over and over. The sequels (XML2, MUA 1-3) never quite captured this for me.

Grinding in Age of Calamity was fine, because I knew I would probably beat the next level without doing it, but I often did 30 mins of grinding if I was to play as a character I wasn't confident in

@BeautyandtheBeer I believe they also made it harder to grind for coins around the time they added microtransactions. That was the moment I sold the game.

I liked her voice, it didn't remove me from the game at all. When Zelda was upset I could feel it. There were complaints it sounded too mature.. but I imagine a princess who grew up with the pressures of an apocalypse on their shoulders would mature pretty quickly.

@Caryslan If there's one more Mario rep, I think Toad is the most deserving of a spot, but he's occupied as a move for Peach and Daisy. So Captain Toad it (hopefully) is.

I think for me I wanted him so badly because of the nostalgia of that specific era of my childhood. I never would have expected him, except all the talk about him over the last few decades, how he "almost made it into Smash" before, etc.

Now, more than the character, I would have just loved a stage and music based off Mario RPG. I was devastated when I found out the Forest Maze music from the trailer isn't making it into the game.

My wishlist:
Super Mario RPG
N64 Online (I just want to play Mario Kart 64 with friends online... That battle mode is still the best)
If they do these back to back it'll be like reliving 1996 all over again. Heaven.

@Ttimer5 I also get this, even if I play for a short period.. but I also suffer from dry eye generally. I've gotten better at making sure I take breaks between rounds, forcing more productive blinks and drinking more water. I have a heating mask I use a few times a week that really helps soothe them, if they're tired and dry from remote work and gaming.

Between my eyes and my wrists, quarantine is really doing a number on me lol

I ended up with tennis elbow this year 300 hours into Animal Crossing of all games (and some cell phone overuse too). My symptoms were all like carpal tunnel, it was terrible. My hands and wrists would also hurt working out, positioning in different angles and working from home. Luckily with stretching, a silly elbow pillow I had to use for a month, the pro controller and a grip for handheld, my symptoms are nearly gone.

Not a huge deal to those that spent 6 bucks, but for the crowd that got the expensive special edition, this will be infuriating.

I love this, genius! I especially loved the two Majora's Mask tunes. OoT and MM always remind me of Christmas day, I have fond memories of getting the gold editions and playing them all day Xmas 98 and 2000.
I'll leave O Sacred Light and Twice Days off Christmas off my playlist.

I was holding out for the Switch port but it took too long... It was on sale for $20 on PS4 and I bit the bullet

Allstars for me. I grew up with both NES and Allstars versions and I could care less about the changed jump physics (or whatever the problem is, I don't even notice)

I desperately want a port of F-Zero GX. That game made me viciously angry as a teenager, but I couldn't put it down. It was just so beautiful, ran so smoothly, had so many things to unlock and I loved that infuriating storymode.

Others have said X is the better game. I really don't like it, and would rather play the original or GX. I can get past the bland graphics (I love a lot of ugly N64 games) but I hate the soundtrack, and the vehicles just don't feel right to me.

Super Mario Kart is way too low. That should be top ten.. it's also in my top 3 Mario Karts. I return to it at least once a week now that it's on the Switch. My list is very Mario heavy, though he starts to lose his place in future console rankings:

I played my Wii U tonight in honor of it's Anniversary. Managed to get one Mass Effect 3 multiplayer round in, until I searched for ages and couldn't find another player. Played my n64 games, then realized how dark they were on Wii U and went to Wii mode to truly enjoy them since they just look better and play better there. To cap it off, finally downloaded Windwaker, which I know means they'll announce it's coming to Switch because I did that, since that always happens to me

Oh, and I miss Nintendoland. Touched it for ten minutes, then realized how badly I miss playing Mario Chase and Metroid Blast with others.. its not much of a solo experience

When does the snow hit? I'm waiting for that before I finally return to my island after a 4, possibly 5 month hiatus

I enjoyed my time with them, but I sold it before the DLC came out because I just had no interest in shelling out more money for the game. There's been something missing from the Pokemon games for me the last couple generations and I can't put my finger on it.

I have replayed Let's Go a few times, despite hating the idea of it initially. I know it got some hate too, but it's one of my favorite Switch games.

I have my Switch, PS4 and Xbox 360.I'm still undecided between PS5 and XBSX. I feel like I'd gravitate towards the XBox Series X because it can play any of the Xbox One games I may have missed, and I don't care enough about Horizon's sequel or Spiderman's on PS5... I'd rather have Doom which might become an XBox exclusive (and yes, Rare Replay since that looks like itll never come to Switch). I also HATE the PS5 design.

That said, its going to be a while before I jump into the next gen, and so many factors can change my mind- price drops, game announcements, system bricks, Switch Pro, etc.

The Metroid Prime Trilogy is one of my favorite releases of all time, and I was "meh" about Galaxy 1 & 2... but I'm kinda shocked that Trilogy is number 1 and they're just rounding out the top 5. I feel like something is broken?

I have a similar adapter from Fastsnail that I got years ago (before I got my pro controller). I played BotW almost exclusively on my PS4 controller, and besides not being able to use amiibo on it, it ran incredibly well. I wonder if the version I own will be compatible with Dualsense too

I'm sad that this means the game is MUCH farther out than I had hoped.

But between the talent absorbed and this new move, I am getting the sense Nintendo has thrown Retro a massive budget. I hope this new entry gives the franchise the boost it desperately needs, gives it a better seat at the table.

I dug out my XBox 360 from the closet to play Dragon Age 2 (will follow with Inquisition). I've been needing a Bioware fix and I don't want to go through Mass Effect in case that rerelease is imminent.

As for Nintendo, I just finished Galaxy's 120 stars (with Mario at least) so I might play around in Mario 64 again or maybe even Odyssey. Problem is, do I start all over again in Odyssey or just keep trying to find existing moons? There are waaaay too many!

@GilbertXI to be honest I don't want another Smash game if they can't bring back all the characters. They could just keep coming up with wave after wave of updates and dlc, and port it over to the next console with some improvements

Yeah, the DLC fighters were chosen a long while ago. The chances of him appearing in Pack 2 is slim to none. If they went with a third fighters pass however... But a third would kill Sakurai.

I just can't do horror games. I want to play Alien Isolation SO BAD (I own it on PS4 and Switch) but both times, years apart, I make it to a certain section early on and then end up hiding in a locker or under a table for an hour while the alien circles around.

@YonVonBlett I don't think you have to. The last one was like a celebration of the whole franchise prior to BotW with an original plot, whereas this one is just based on BotW. It seems like similar gameplay so doing this then going backwards should be fine

Do we know if that's the final box art? Or do we think that there will be an update to the lower right corner once its announced what Bowser's Fury is?

I am not buying. On the positive, at least he is optional. I was holding off on buying the Fighters Pass in case he ended up being part of it. Glad I did't!

Actually to add to my wishlist of Urbosa, Geno or Doomguy... I would also love Amaterasu from Okami (even though I could NOT get into that game). That gameplay would be so unique

I really, REALLY want Urbosa (though that would leave out the other Champions) or Geno with a SMRPG SNES Online reveal.

There aren't really any non-Nintendo characters left that I'd want. Doom Guy maybe, but he would not fit the universe.

@Henmii I'm guessing later, when they decide Link is a champion of hyrule. In the footage he's still just a knight

I heard the Sega Genesis collection has terrible input lag, making it unplayable. That has kept me away, instead I bought the Sonic games separately
