One of the most anticipated titles for the Switch in the near future is that of Fire Emblem Warriors, the new crossover title that’s acting as a sort-of sequel to the Legend of Zelda-themed Hyrule Warriors. It was revealed last week that the game would be receiving a special edition release in Europe, but at the time it seemed to be exclusive to the region. Fortunately, it’s now been revealed for North America as well.
The special edition will cost $79.99, and will release on 20th October with the main game. It’ll include the game, three CDs with music from the game, a two-sided poster, and 25 character art cards, so fans will no doubt find plenty of value here.

Looks nice! My most anticipated game coming up is Pokkén but this is a very close second.
This is a bit pricey for me though, I'm already buying pretty much every game that comes out from Nintendo each month. I wish they'd slow down so my wallet could recover
Aaaaaaand the only classic character is still Marth. Good.
Also, a week early from Super Mario Odyssey seems like overkill for my wallet
Hopefully it doesn't sell out in 10 seconds. : /
Most anticipated game for me since it's announcement. Hope it does well even though it releases the week before Mario.
This is going to be a good birthday month for me this year. Will switch my preorder to this when it opens...got to have that OST.
@Malcrash why would that be good? Literally why I'm not even considering getting the game despite being a FE fan.
Im shocked that this game basically features only characters from awakening and fates. Wheres path of radiance? Wheres sacred stones? Wheres gaiden for goodness sakes that game just got re released on 3ds. And only marth from shadow Dragon? And most importantly.. Where is roy our boy?? Very disappointing.
I have very little doubt that those characters won't be in the game. Come on guys look at what they did with Hyrule Warriors, tons of characters. I'm sure it'll be the same here. Unfortunately though the collectors edition is a bit underwhelming for me. I'll just d/load it instead.
@tamantayoshi they will add some later as DLC and you have to pay for the new char's as you did with hyrule warriors
$80? Not too greedy a price
Passing on this. Saturated BIG TIME with Musou games.
@peeks yay...
@Monado_III I could be wrong, but I think they're being sarcastic
@tamantayoshi Shortly after the game was announced, they said they would be focusing on Shadow Dragon, Awakening, and Fates. I suspect they will release characters like Alm, Cecila and Roy as DLC, like they did with Hyrule Warriors.
...can we have a Xenoblade Warriors game next please...
Thank God it's coming to NA! Just hope it's stocks aren't like the SNES Classic Edition, if you know what I mean
Most anticipated upcoming Title? ......ehhhh....... right.
That realese date is so stupid to me...
The US special edition price is the same as the normal game price in Canada.
Whose idea was it to release one week before Mario?!
@Kalmaro Finally someone that put, FE right where deserves. But to me is in the first place!
I plan on getting this game, but hopefully I won't be buying it. October 20 is my birthday, so the plan is to get this as a gift, so I can spend my cash on Mario.
I just want the CD's since video game music is hard to get most times.
Pass
What about the New 3DS version? I love that people keep forgetting about it.
@tamantayoshi just like what @Knuckles said. And even in their first ever trailer (the one only showed Chrom for 4 seconds), they only had swords from these three games, so it's not like they changed their ideas half way through development.
I guess it's like Hyrule Warriors, only three most popular games are included. Since this is a fan game, main characters from titles with the largest fan bases (undoubtedly Awakening and Fates) naturally are being used.
New fans they may be familiar with Roy, Ike, Hector, but tbh they don't share emotional connections like many more experienced players do.
It's time for Nintendo and IS to remake all the older FE games for switch.
Oooooo imma pre order this as soon as it goes live, please nintendolife keep us posted! This makes me even more excited about the game. Love FE special editions, this'll look nice on the shelf next to my echoes special.
Update: got my pre order locked in at GameStop!!!! Hype hype hype
@Malcrash He's the only one they've announced so far, but there will probably be more. Tiki's a clear option given that she's getting an amiibo.
@Frank90 Yeah, I've been looking forward to this game for a while, such a nice upgrade from hyrule warriors on 3ds.
Times like this makes being a digital buyer a lot harder with special editions like this and store discounts like best buy gamers club unlocked. So tempting.
@VIIIAxel I honestly feel that the classic Fire Emblem characters have to be sold as DLC via character packs, sadly. Since we're this far in the game's development, it's a given

I'll pass on this for now. It's too close to the release of Super Mario Odyssey for people to buy this game at a large scale. In addition the limited edition looks to be a bit underwhelming. Something about the art seems off to me and a fair number of tracks will be remixed versions of songs from older games.
@Malcrash Well, i thought it was sarcasm at first, but then you said that you at wanted to get Warriors so I wasn't sure.
No thanks, this isnt very special to me. Samus Returns collectors edition skips NA, but hey....FE character art cards, yay -_-
@Malcrash They said that this is going to have the most characters out of any Warriors crossover game, so this definitely isn't the full launch roster. They might be keeping some as surprises, and I'm still pretty sure Tiki will be included.
