We've just received word from Magic Design Studios - attending Gamescom this week - that its upcoming game Unruly Heroes will be headed to the Switch in 2018.
Unruly Heroes is a action-adventure platformer 2D game enriched by combat and other surprising gameplay. The game is inspired by the famous Chinese legend 'A Journey To The West', otherwise known as Monkey King.
The French company has team members who previously worked at Ubisoft on such tiles as Rayman, Rabbids and Assassin's Creed.

With local co-op for up to 4 players and many different worlds to discover, this upcoming platforming looks like one to keep your eye on.

Looking forward...
Nice art work. Definitely keeping my eye on this one.
This looks really nice, can't wait to seeing more!
I love the Ubiart vibe I am getting from this game.
Looks like a cross between Trine and Rayman, which is a good thing. It's piqued my interest.
Four player... journey to the west... lots of Ubisoft staff from definitely some of their higher points... pretty art...
Alright, interested.
@Sligeach_Eire good comparison.
the art style alone is worth my attention.
@FragRed Was just about to say that. It looks like the lovechild of Rayman and Trine.
I am loving this so far.
So, with the people here praising the graphics, i think i should mention that the music is also really great.
The main inspiration for this game seems to be Vanillaware's Muramasa The Demon Blade (Wii/Vita).
Looks a lot like the Trine series, so will keep an eye out for this.
I was immediately reminded of Rayman Legends' artstyle. Cool stuff, hopefully it delivers.
Looks pretty
I almost thought it was Ubi with that art style!
Looks good... UbiArt used to be the best looking 2D side scrolling engine but after playing Ori and the blind forest, it's now 2nd place. It's such a shame that Ori is owned by Microsoft, that game could've been ported to the Switch.
Looks nice but I'm a bit bored of this style of game. Plus I was hoping it would be more like the fantastic Monkey Magic TV series from the late 1970's!
"Born from an egg on a mountain top"
I honestly don't know if it refers to Journey To The West as I only have a vague idea about its plot, but the first thing I thought of is Link's Awakening's Wind Fish lol
Such a great game...probably one of my favorite games ever.
I sawmonkey magic in the title and thought of the tv show.
Yep, this looks good. Will be getting this on my switch.
Looks interesting, I will keep my eyes out for this one.
Looks lovely.
I like what the game's going for and LOVE the look of everything but the main four characters. I hope there will be other playable options, but something tells me there won't be.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE
The art style and gameplay bring to mind Muramasa for the wii.
Oh. Hell. Yes.
This looks like a blast, especially in co-op.
@dizzy_boy So did I.
This looks interesting!
Love the art style. Must be the same engine as Rayman.
This is the kind of game that I always hoped that Ubisoft would make using their Ubiart engine. And then after Child of Light and Valiant Hearts, they just dropped this style all together, which sucks. Glad to see these guys picking up the mantle. Day one buy for me.
Am I the only one who worries when I hear "local co-op" because I wonder if can do single player, or if it "can" (option's there but never balanced to be fun)
Reminds me of Odin sphere
I hope this game gets a demo. It looks like a game that I have to play in order to get what it feels like. The game play looks smooth, but that doesn't mean much to me if hitting an enemy doesn't feel satisfying.
Looks like Ori and the Blind Forest to me
Hmmm. Added to the 'interested' list. Nice graphic style.
@Jarobusa
Yeah I see that. Hopefully it's of a similar standard.
Hmmm los good so far
@Captain_Gonru Shyuki: The Journey West. Something like that.
Awww Masako Nasume There is a special place in my heart for that TV show, and this game looks lovely too.
Wow this looks great. Excited for this!
Looks like Ori and the Blind Forest to me
I loved Ori, but the lore behind this game looks much more promising in my opinion
@Captain_Gonru Well now you know of another one.
Looks beautiful. I just wonder if the footage is from the Switch, probably from PC or PS4. Too good to be true.
Looks pretty cool!
