Dragon warrior ( Dragon Quest 1) was my first Dragon quest game. I think what hooked me in was the monster designs.
I have finished 1-6,8,11. chipping away at the 7&9 still. too many games to play. I thought builders was a great idea for the series to switch things up. hopefully if this psaro DQ Monsters game pops off, we can get the 3ds games remade for the switch as well. And can the 2.5HD remake of 3 come out already? lol (even though I still wouldn't have time to play it haha)

Been a big fan since the nes era, but I still haven't even had time to play treasures yet. haha so hopefully I can figure out some time to get these back catalogs covered.

Seems like a good collection, minus Get star/Guardian. that's a pretty bad game even for the era. haha would have been better if they added Kyuukyoku Tiger II etc. instead.

@cdog555 not sure why your tagging me, but I was on a proxy the other day and a complete was 250,000 yen. around 1850 or so usd. all the carts were around 460-497. either way, a waste of money and not worth it imo.

first thing I thought was Illbleed. haha seems ok, I'll have to keep an eye on this one.

Really great game. it is deceptively tough. never finished it, but now maybe I can haha. this is one of the games that stopped me from completing my quest to own every famicom game. at the time it was worth I think 500-600. now I think it goes over a 1000.
insane, but now everyone can get a chance to play it. too bad about the scan line filters. should be a basic option for these "retro" game releases. same with black border options, if it doesn't have it.

I have been chipping away at finishing all the kunio games on the 3ds. and I just finished this one last month. haha huge fan of the series since I was a kid, so hopefully they do it justice on the switch.

people were probably buying used systems etc. and using the service to repair them, then flipping it for profit. haha

I used to collect figmas. but I wasn't a big fan of how they didn't design the body to try and hide the ball joints. looks like they are doing better at that. I always thought the characters with armor worked best for hiding joints etc. they can break easy sometimes as well. I had a few nendos that broke on me.

@tylerryan79 Ah yeah, the medicom RAH link figure for skyward sword. forgot about that one. that was a great figure. the only thing I didn't like is the chain mail was a print. haha I tired to buy it a few times and kept getting outbid on it. but seen it on amazon for 400 usd.

For someone that owns the vita and PS3 collections, how are this going to be different from those 2 collections? I just want to see the general opinion to which is better? or would the switch version be the best?

at first I thought this was a 3ds port.

@Wexter yeah you absolutely nailed it. I don't see why they couldn't do that.(make untold 3) then that would warrant the price tag. and I don't think size could be an issue, as the 3 games in this collection add up to under 2gb. and I think a switch cart capacity is up to 32gb? yeah it would be nice to have all 6 enhanced on the switch. maybe that would depend on the sales of this collection which I feel its not going to do well. (just based on comments about price etc)

Yeah I feel for those who lost money in this. its pretty low to do that to their customers. I just don't get how companies can get away with this legally. its shameful.

Yeah in my eyes, its odd they didn't use the "untold" versions of the first 2 games. Maybe they will part of an update? or DLC?
Either way, because of that, I believe its all over priced. even if they are rpgs. I have them on the 3ds anyway. haha

there is the metal gear solid collection for the vita. people are forgetting about that one.(even though it excludes MGS1)
I can see them porting that version to the switch easily. since the switch can emulate vita games and they already ported over some other vita games to the switch. I'd like to finally have a 8 bit metal gear collection. that would be nice. with the MSX games translated in the way kojima meant them to be instead of fan releases. which are well done regardless, but sometimes I feel like I'm playing someone's fan fiction. so an official release of the msx games would be awesome for the 35th. even snakes revenge. 😉

Graphically, it looks like they stuck with the mobile puzzle bobble esthetic. I kind of don't mind it, but I'm a big fan of the series so maybe I'm biased. 😉

since they are bringing this over, I'd like to the Tetris plus games too.

seems pointless. it would be cheaper to buy a arcade1up pac man bar top at that point. I think the basic one is 150 usd. but I get it. Lego fans and all.

Nice post! I seen a screen shot of FF1 in Nintendo power back in the day and I wanted to play it bad. the monsters etc. looked really gritty to me as a kid. they didn't have pre orders back then so i kept calling my local store harassing them until they got a shipment of the game. haha I ended up using the Nintendo power guide word for word to finish it. now I think they gave some "bad" advice such as 99 potions and 99 pures to complete the marsh cave. haha you only need around max half that. but I feel its an underrated game. I never finished the second one so I started that recently again with he pixel remaster.

Its a difficult game. especially getting the proper ending. When i was buying famicom games it was going for around 700 and change USD. recently I seen a tag of 1569 USD converted.
And that is why I stopped at 756 famicom games. haha

Most of the people posting that they have it, are just social media zombies anyway. they just want to be that guy that has the game before everyone else. some aren't even Zelda fans. they just want to get it working on their steam decks etc. to say they can run it 60fp (I'm seeing this a lot in deck groups across social media.)
I have a deck myself, and could play it on a deck, but I haven't even finished BOTW yet. haha no time and spending 200 hours in Elden ring didn't help. 😉

I'm against exclusivity, so that's also why I did it.
I did spend money on events all the time also, but they banned my account permanently. so I haven't played since. Doesn't seem like I missed a lot and that is part of their problem I'd say. If nothing really changes in 6 months in a game like that, doesn't surprise me they are losing money on top of the raid fiasco I heard about.

They pulled a billion dollars so far. I'm sure they are doing okay.
What was the last film that came even close to that revenue recently, in that amount of time?
the investors made more than what they expected I bet.

I have them all, but haven't had time to start the series yet. lol

@Snatcher Dude, he wasn't selling Nintendo's content. he was selling mod chips etc. he was part of team executer. he also was part of mod chips for the xbox and playstation back in the day.

I checked steam out and it said 1gb of space needed each, which is great. I was expecting them to be a couple of gb's each.

@GrailUK Yeah mine too! They should definitely do a "Quintet" Trilogy remaster. (soul blazer, Illusion of time, Terranigma) there is a bigger fan base now more than ever I'd say.

@GrailUK robotrek is highly underrated I'd say.

@Ade117 I would say start with 4 or 6 first. definitely do the first couple of games last. if you have a DS or steam they also remade of 4 and 3 if you want to check those out. I think they are still on sale in steam as well.

@AtlanteanMan yeah I love the daisenryaku games. super large maps. I think there is one for the switch but its in Japanese.

@Anti-Matter you complete campaigns by taking over the map. the screen shots will give you an idea. (red team icons, blue team icons) you can take over the "city" icons to gain capital and you can build better units etc.
