Re: Random: Peach's Mario Movie VA Anya Taylor-Joy Says She's A Gamer Now

@AshFoxX
The first time I played Super Mario bros was the Vs. version in a bus station in 86. It was also the first time I played castlevania in a vs cab. I even played goonies (famicom) in a cab in chuck e cheese in the 80s. I think the nes version of super mario came out less than a year before that. but not by many months. so its a generational thing why these guys played it first in arcades.

Re: Review: Front Mission 1st: Remake - Impressive Visuals, But A Slog On The Battlefield

Beefcakeyamato

Yeah I kind of agree with this review from what I have played so far. at least the first part of it anyway. haha I played the original back in the day and have the ds version as well. I think it does deserve more of a higher score id say a 7-7.5 out of 10. if they had the battle scenes in the perspective and detail modelling of say the area, the battles would drag less maybe? feel more dynamic? I feel even on the past games, there was that discrepancy of a unit having 1 HP for example on the body but your unit will shoot the legs instead haha. i feel like that dice roll of combat damage has always been in the game. until they added skills like in FM3, where you can target the body and limbs etc. I do like the sped up battles. I would still recommend this game to anyone that hasn't played the original or DS version.

Re: Square Enix Releases 'Final' Tactics Ogre: Reborn Trailer Ahead Of Launch

Beefcakeyamato

@Serpenterror I guess you have some cognitive disparity there, and can’t read.
I said it was a remaster of a remaster. I have the original and the psp remastered game. I fully know well what it is. And it’s a great game and this release is a remaster of a remaster
. Hope that gave you some deeper clarity.
Even the artbook that is being released with this was already previously released.it just now has some English text slapped over it. So yes I would be buying this again. But it would be nice if they would make a new game in the series, instead of remaking remakes.remakes such as the Darius game that was recently released for the switch, that was a vita game now on the switch.
Maybe you shouldn’t get triggered over small things and use that energy on something that truly matters in your immediate life. Haha bigger things to worry about in the world right now haha

Re: Famous Seattle Retro Gaming Store Has Been Hit By Armed Robbery

Beefcakeyamato

I'm Canadian living in America in New England, and sure there is gang violence and general crime, but I haven't seen too much negative stuff that didn't happen in Canada. Actually I have seen less out in the open stuff. mostly drug related stuff/ seeing a guy shoot up in front of me stuff like that. comparing Canada to the USA is apples and oranges. the USA has over 300 million people compared to 36 million in Canada. its a country that is constantly under a microscope. certain things do need to change here definitely. but I think when you have international recognition such as this gaming store, unfortunately you are a target. and from what is happening with them lately people know there is $$ in this place. they should probably move to better location like in a mall with security. they will pay more money for the location etc. but at least they are protected somewhat. I think the Japanese saying is the nail that sticks out the farthest gets hammered first? something like that anyway haha

Re: Feature: How Do Game Developers And Artists Feel About The Rise Of AI Art?

Beefcakeyamato

great article. i use it for a inspiration board. which is what that person also said during the interview. its great for that. you can use prompts to say "in the style of Francis bacon" etc. a lot of the times its about find the best seed. its hit or miss. 90% of the images I make though those apps are trash. and yeah they cant draw hands. lmao.
It will never defeat human touch. so its nothing to worry about in my opinion. and that winning photo, it usually does art in that style. it always has that look to it.

Re: Tag Heuer Reveals Two Mario Kart Watches, One Of Which Costs $25,600

Beefcakeyamato

@johnvboy thanks i thought you were. haha but like I said you enjoy your 5,500k watch and that's great. I'm glad you can have that ability to buy what you enjoy. but also even if I had your dime, I wouldn't just based on attracting unwanted attention, if you catch my drift. haha we are at a point that the disparity between people is growing by the day. and that creates desperation. just be safe out there.

Re: Tag Heuer Reveals Two Mario Kart Watches, One Of Which Costs $25,600

Beefcakeyamato

@Duncanballs I understand that.im probably around the same age as you. but if someone can justify spending 25k on a watch go for it. I'm saying I wouldn't. even thought that's the one that I would buy lol out of the two. an example, even if I was a multi millionaire, I wouldn't buy a house I cant upkeep myself etc. but I would probably buy up land instead.

Re: Tag Heuer Reveals Two Mario Kart Watches, One Of Which Costs $25,600

Beefcakeyamato

@johnvboy thanks for your book reply. who said I didn't like nice things? I said in another comment of course I like the most expensive one. because usually I like the most expensive things, but could never justify the worth for the tag. which is what most of the comments already said. "nice watch too expensive for a what it is" if you personally justify that. by all means, buy it. 😉

Re: Tag Heuer Reveals Two Mario Kart Watches, One Of Which Costs $25,600

@Shambo I understand your view points and agree. some people are just vapid and empty vessels attaching themselves to stuff. but once that's gone, what do they become? its best to be the human you want to be, and to stop living through other peoples eyes. meaning who cares what others think of us and what we choose to do. so from what I gathered you are doing things to help animals etc. and I respect that.

Re: Two Unreleased NES Games Surface On eBay, Could Go For "Thousands"

Beefcakeyamato

the napoleon game was released on the famicom. so its not that big of a deal if its just a English port. I actually have a flyer for the Japanese release, because I think the artwork is comical. haha
its not like these games are like a bio force ape cart release or Dota Kun. and I mean who actually cares about a power glove game other than to be completist? haha

Re: Review: Easy Come Easy Golf - Everybody's Golf Spiritual Successor Scores A Birdie On Switch

Beefcakeyamato

I was hoping this would get a port from apple arcade. its actually the reason I used my free subscription haha.
I noticed the loading for me anyway is long. sometimes after a course completion the screen stays black for a bit maybe 5 seconds or so sometimes. made me think my switch froze at one point. but the courses are great, the character design is ok. Maybe I didn't see this but I wish I could remap the controls. so I usually go for touch controls.
