The Japanese artwork I think is also recycled from ninja gaiden 3. seen it before in some promo art. I guess the usa version they recycled ninja gaiden 1 art to just get the familiarity for sales? kind of lazy though.

I see a few Shining force fans here, which is great. if they want to follow along and make a 2.5D shining force remake or two would be great. maybe the second one. as well as the shining in the darkness or holy ark games could use a remake.
I didn't know that dragon force was a Sega game? I haven't played it in 20 years. that would be cool too actually. its underrated. A turn base Phantasy star would be great too. also the new golden axe I wasn't feeling the look of it but we will see on release.

@Jhena I think your thinking about the wario land games. warioware is mini games.

Usually Asia Version of games have a English option (SRW games for example).So I'm crossing my figures it will happen haha.

nice list. I just don't get why Mario land is always on the bottom of these lists here haha definitely better than donkey kong country.

@DwaynesGames someone already did a rom hack of that, so no reason why they cant add that option to nso.

I think it was a huge mistake giving them the rights to remake this IP. they dropped the ball on the first game, and I figured this one would be a mess after finishing the first. even their website seems lazy. its disappointing, because front mission 1-5 were really underrated and appreciated. and this series really deserves better.

it looks great. kind of giving me Mario 2 vibes. with the blue toad etc. I haven't been in the mood for a Mario game in a while. so maybe this one will bring me back.

definitely river city, trip world dx, and wonder are on the list. borderlands 3 I'm curious the size of that game for the switch version. also not sure if front mission is still released on the 5th or not? they kind of dropped the ball a bit on the first one.

has the feel of a flash game, but looks like it could be fun. I liked mutant mudds, seems like they reused some sprites here with the "gems"? but shouldn't take 6 years to make this? haha

I recently bought a Wii U maybe 6 months ago. mostly for this game. but I'm playing other games, so haven't really booted it up yet. only to test. lol 🤦‍♂️

So gilligan's gold is basically a Bagman clone. Nice that if you ever search for switch hidden gems, its going to pop up. cant say I'd buy this when you can get a c64 mini for 50 bucks. and load every game on that. but i think there is bigger classics on the c64 than these?

@Not_Soos Yeah the crafting and weapons breaking etc. kind of gets annoying after a while. the first time I played TOTK I threw the master sword by mistake and it shattered. lol

Yeah I try not to fall prey to FOMO. at the end of the day I played about 18 hours of TOTK and then ended up playing balders gate 3 instead. it was more up to what I felt like playing. I'd like to get starfield as well but I'll wait until it goes on sale.

A usa Snes would have been rare in the uk I bet back then. when if you wanted to import it was through magazines etc. and they hosed everyone on the price haha.

@Serpenterror yet the social experience playing with other random people trumps the console versions in my opinion for every game you listed, especially 4 player games. but I grew up around busy arcades well into the late 90s.

@species8472 the mega drive version is a great port. same with the rainbow islands release. but I lean towards the arcade version best. I really like the character design.

This is how it should be done for remasters etc. they did a really great job.

Its an excellent game. I pumped about 40 hours so far. TOTK maybe 20-30. a well done game for the genre.

@Vyacheslav333 Yeah basically that is. haha I think the voices even with the shop keepers gives it more of a personality. music is a bit better as well. no animated scenes unfortunately. and I know a lot of PCE Cd games are a spotty too haha like golden axe for example. but I liked this version myself.

@Vyacheslav333 yeah that s correct. it was never released to the Americas or Europe. but Tokyo rumble was and rival showdown. and that should be this game here. but I get the 3ds games western version releases mixed up a lot. haha I wish they would do a english version of the PC engine CD version of Downtown Nekketsu Monogatari

Oh so they combined the 2 Japanese releases into one? thats good, because Riki Densetsu wasn't released in english.

I have the first one and honestly I felt like the trailer made it look better than what the final product was. and that sucked because I had high hopes about it. maybe that was the problem. hopefully they will do better this time around, but I doubt it. doesn't look like it, from what they have shown here. pretty mediocre company I have to say.

@w00dm4n yeah had double dragon 1-3 and the kunio games and their variants. what wasn't on there was the advance game and the snes game. double dragon 4 is also released already on the switch. probably why they are releasing DDA &SDD as stand alone releases as well. hopefully the collection will have some extras and overlays etc.

probably the best OST imo is the Snes game. but they really need to do something for this series on the switch.

I love the master system. as a child mostly played it at my friends house. a lot of good memories. even just watching his step dad play miracle warriors or something was cool. watching him making a map etc. haha well for me it is wonder boy in monster land. its so nostalgic for me. seeing the dungeon view in phantasy star for the first time. other great games are govellius, psycho fox, rastan, shinobi, spellcaster, wonder boy 3, maze hunter etc. a lot of great games. and also the first time we had card based games like ghost house. that was cool back then haha

@PKDuckman Ah I see. yeah they seem like a shady company or mismanaged anyway. Sounds like city connection gave in and let them do what they wanted. but I think as a dev they are great. but I always liked Jaleco.

A lot of them don't look great. some classic re-releases. Hopefully they are done well. But!! Rose & Camellia looks so bad but I'm definitely downloading that one. haha
And that another crusade might be good.

I don't see a big deal exploiting these glitches. but seems more work than what's it worth haha

I was pretty disappointed in the wonder boy collection. very bare bones for a classic series. and on top of that i think you had to buy the collection a second time if you wanted all the games. kind of dirty they did that. The Jajamaru collections were kind of the same. bare bones menu etc. classic series deserve more. that's why I'm always a fan of M2 or city connection. The Double Dragon & Kunio collection was great.
