seems like a lame release to me. no gameplay, seems highly pointless. just a FMV on a cart. I think night traps combined length is around 43 min? roughly a dollar a min. 🤦‍♂️

Yeah finally AW 1&2 is coming. grimgrimoire is a great game as well. glad it got a remaster.

I bought a Wii U to play this and return to dreamland again. lol then they went ahead a made a switch port of both. maybe nes remix and rhythm heaven can get ports. 😉

I was shocked it was a dragon/water type. haha but I like swimming in the lake and it really feels Dodozo would eat me haha

I actually just got around to playing this game. haha is there an order I should play all the DLC in? or can I just jump into this DLC and it wont ruin anything?

I was disappointed with the first entry on the switch after finishing it, you cant do the other story play through. so the DS version is still the best version of FM1. overall the first remake wasn't bad, but wasn't great either.

Gives me kotobukiya "Frame Arm" vibes. 😉 I might give this one a shot.

@nessisonett I can see if you have an issue with him, you wouldn't want to be looking at him for a couple hours. relaxing by a fire in a nice big comfy chair.

well I don't mind subtitles. not sure why people always can't handle them. definitely not a big loss for me either way. sometimes Japanese voice actors are better.

I just started a game of the first 3ds remake. haha ah well, I seen people wonder why there weren't any Etrian games on the switch yet. so would the map in the corner make use of the touch screen undocked I'm assuming? I like how they made it a little mini tab. this would have been a good release on the wiiu haha

Its a great baseball series for a while now. and I don't even like baseball games. 😉 usually they are japan only releases, so its cool they ported this. but too bad its not a full game?

@GrailUK Yeah man I feel you. it all comes down to nostalgia. how we first experienced something and the feels that come with that. From my perspective I first played it on the nes at a friends house 2 player. so it was really fun doing the code etc. and doing a full run. I did experience a gryzor cab in the arcade as a kid around the same time, but it wasn't really working well. so I wasted a quarter. haha but graphically, arcade will always be best. 🙌 the first time i played super mario bros was in a cab, not the nes haha

I think for most consumers its subjective. big fans of the series will pay an extra 10.00. at the end of the day its not that much money. and if someone tries to say it is, look at what you spend every day on coffee etc. and maybe cut back to afford the 10.00 haha. considering people still play BOTW, I'd say its worth 60-70 bucks. Kirby is WORTH 70 bucks to me as well, but I always wait to buy games usually. 😜

@GrailUK have you played the arcade version? imo it feels slower paced. the nes version, (maybe its nostalgia) just seems more fun. the famicom version has animated background sprites and cut scenes. so to me the famicom version might be the best version. but I think it all comes down to that's the version most people played and have a lot of good memories with. I also felt alien wars should have been second.

@Tom-Massey yeah I always see you doing damage control on here. haha that's good you stick with the staff, sometimes you cant change their point of view no matter what. haha

@dkxcalibur oh I agree 100%. I feel its a bit pointless, especially the animal adoption part. but I feel they could do the same thing with a menu. but then people would probably complain about that saying the game doesn't have enough variety etc. haha

@dkxcalibur I'm a fan of the traditional FE games and tear ring saga. and it really caught me for some reason so I played almost all day. lol which is also something I don't get to do ever really lol how are you liking it so far?

The collection is solid with some nice extras. but the collection deserves better. I wish M2 handled this instead. been a fan of the series since I was a kid, and they could have had better menus etc. its pretty bare bones, with some random piano music over top. the filters aren't that great either if you are into that. the reviewer isn't wrong by any means in their review of the tactics of the inin etc. they should have gave a free update to the previous purchasers of the first "collection". But it seems to be good emulation of the collection. someone will have to tell me about the FM sound if its accurate or not. i agree with the review as a long time fan and also against shoddy practices like what happened with this collection. I'd recommend as a fan to buy at an deep discount. 😉
I just think in my biasness this game series deserves better and always has, and the collection is good but could be better.

@HeadPirate ah they should give the first collection purchasers a free update at least. but it installed as 2 separate games for me.
I wish M2 handled this collection instead. but over all the games themselves seem to be emulated accurately. been a fan since I was a kid so if you like the series id recommend but on a deep discount.

@FishyS Yeah it probably wouldn't be.
but! it is one of the easiest FE games I have played. and you can play in normal mode and reset your movements if you make mistakes. so maybe it might be a good starting point if you want to give strategy games like this a go. 🙌

I'm on chapter 14, and can say I'm glad the series returned to this style of Fire emblem. I'm all for character building but not when it takes over of what should be the core of the game. a SRPG.
Definitely agree with this review and i'd give it a 9 as well. and would highly recommend. the only thing I can say is the time reverse kind of defeats the purpose of the classic system, but I usually don't use it unless heal the wrong unit etc.
I really like a lot of the characters personalities as well.

I don't like how they lock items behind the amiibos. they should allow some kind of DLC option in games if people don't want figures like that. But I never bought them because I don't like exclusivity in games, pay to win etc. but I guess if they did that it would drive down the value of them. you can make your own NFC cards with an android phone. or buy them which a few people have pasted above.

@JohnnyMind I mean, it is random they are even porting this game to the switch, don't get me wrong I love this game. haha so maybe Z&W will have a chance!

I like the collectors edition box set. is there that big of a demand for this series over seas? I had the original famicom games. but if the RPGS are translated it might be worth it. I'm glad they are translating all these older rpgs finally. off topic but I would like to see a shell story "collection" myself.

this was a great game on the Wii so I'm looking forward to it. wonder if they will do epic yarn again for the switch?

Its a great game and should get a remaster of some sort. I found Metroid to be harder than Zelda 2 tbh. I always hit death mountain right after the first dungeon. that's the way to go. people say that the npcs don't give any information etc. but a lot of nes games and master system games were like that then. especially rpgs like say miracle warriors or faria etc.

@MontyCircus ah thanks man! I'm always interested in these type of data lists. I feel windjammers gained in popularity within the past 5 years or so. I was surprised about big tournament golf. haha

over priced tablet when there are other options out there that are better.

I like city connection releases so these should be a great pick up. i actually slept on metal black for a while, but I do have a vintage arcade flyer for it. 😉
