My wife and I have 99%’d the first two (no way can we defeat that super secret last boss, if you’ve played you know the one), so definitely eager to get this one, though whether it’s S1 cartridge or S2 eShop is TBD.

It’ll be a Xmas gift from my wife. Every year we get each other 4 core gifts: something you want, need, wear, and read. It’ll be my want for sure, we had a lot of fun with the first one and I’m playing S2 TOTK with my boys, the older one is dressed as TOTK Link for Halloween. ^u^

Having MKW at launch, the Zelda upgrades (almost through BOTW), and Bananza is holding me, plus playing some titles on Switch 1 OLED for battery life (Power Wash Simulator has been fun going back to) has me content until MP4 and Hyrule Warriors 2 😁👍🏻

Walked into my local Target and they had plenty S2 in stock!

Transfer was pretty painless, except for having to put S1 on charger and the auto-download to tidy up. Lot less painful than getting smoked in MKW Knockout online 😂

Perhaps something like Luigi’s balloons in Odyssey, but hidden in the destructible portion of the level? Or a race to a space to see whose creative destruction gets there first? Could be interesting, the Sonic 2 two-player races were fun as a kid, and yes 3D World multiplayer is some of my favorite ever!

If you’ve got kids, you (1) get more into short-burst games for time and backlogs for finances, and (2) get nostalgic so bust out the classics, whether on legacy consoles from childhood or NSO.

@mlt definitely tried button mapping and it never felt quite right; I have JFG on my purple N64 and never finished it because of the difficulty spike at that point, so definitely will try since NS2 is putting rewind on N64 - which I didn’t know.c that’s awesome!

@Thwomp_Stomper That’s exactly what I’m planning to use. I don’t have any of the NSO controllers, 8BitDo has served me fine, though I may break down and get an N64 one.

I assume you can use a OG GameCube controller with the Smash Ultimate adapter to play the GCN NSO games, so the legacy folks shouldn’t need this one?

@eltomo I hope so, I remember unlocking Darth Maul in THPS 3 on GCN being so cool at the time

11 was a big COVID game for me and made me love this series enough to go back to the others, played 1&2 iOS and playing 7&8 on 3DS, so I’m excited to play 3HD and the other two HD eventually.

I managed to not find the Master Sword or Light Dragon until after all of the tears, so going to the skies to find her was very powerful, which I assume is what Aonuma & Co. wanted.

I have my original GameCube controllers wired and wavebird; I could try this but will likely roll with new twin stick since I’m not used to GCN controls I only watched my little bro play MP1 and Echoes back in the day, and played MP3 only in wii. Looking forward to it!!!

Yeah once I got to the fishing village I stopped playing, it’s really a shame for what was a highly anticipated indie for many folks including myself.

As someone who loves Mario Golf GBC and really liked Golf Story, it has been a tad bit disappointing in the first few hours: obtuse quests and performance issues mostly.

Played BOTW on Wii U at launch and just got it for Switch last Xmas, need to finish it again before TOTK

I’ve played a few including the Z:TP on 3DS, but have played all mainline Picross S games, it’s just a chill time until you get to the mega extra puzzles, some are a breeze and some make me get out a pen & paper to keep track xD

MP3, I was jealous some people we knew had it while I only had 2 and liked 3 way more. Granted, that’s 20 years ago but looking forward to it!

Hoping this is good, haven’t played any 3D Sonic since SA2B on GCN but I would like to give this a try if they pull it off.

I got Attack of Friday Monsters and DQ 7 & 8, might get the rest of the Picross e series too. Always hate to see games go unpreserved but hopefully places like the VGHF can help if developers buy into a secure 3rd party repository that holds code and assets for historical purposes.

Don’t think I’ve played a 3D Sonic since Generations on PS3; I keep trying to give Sega a chance but whether it’s the slightly-off Monkey Ball engine or Sonic Origins’ modding issues, I keep thinking their highs (I hear great things about Yakuza series and arcades) are likely behind them 🥺

Only one I’ve gotten a launch with my own money was Wii, with Zelda TP, Rayman Rabbids & Wii Sports of course, which was a hit in the dorm, squeezing 4 people in for doubles tennis 😂👍🏻 No regrets!

I liked the movie, appreciated the fact it didn’t like the same as all the other Disney/Pixar characters/faces, the girls all had their own distinct shapes and styles. Plus burned CD’s were awesome to see xD
