And I thought my 3300 stars will be worth a retail download. Well, I'll probably get some SNES or GBA game. I wonder what else they will add in the coming months.
Yeah, seems like a hell of an exploit. Nintendo should finally do a reliable profile system that makes sense. Also, speaking of cross-buy, I would really love to see something like cloud saves, where I can play OlliOlli on the go, and when I get back home, I can continue from the same spot on Wii U.
I'm loving the game but have you experienced any stability issues? The game is randomly crashing for me once in a while. It's not a deal breaker but it's probably the only game that ever did that to me.
I have my dlc and instruments on Xbox so I'm going with the Xbox One version, but it would be great for Wii U to have such a game on the platform. I think it would cater more to newcomers because majority of the series fans come from other platforms. But Rock Band is a great asset and its presence on Wii U would not isolate Nintendo's console from the rest. I hope it will eventually come out on Wii U.
That's quite a list of games. It will be awesome to play new titles and also revisit the likes of Dementium, and a big surprise for me here, the excellent Don't Starve.
It's okay to play twice a day on my way to and back from work. Not the best match three I've seen but they made a good effort in designing the mechanics and how they tie-in with the Pokemon.
This was a long time coming and actually still is couple months away. I loved DLC pack 1 so obviously I'm eager to play the second one but yeah, I wonder if it wouldn't be better to deliver this content earlier. Unless it's really taking so long to develop it, then I don't mind waiting if the content is polished.
Either I missed some info or this is quite a surprise. I thought the triforce one was announced only for Japan. Looks super good. Now the only thing left is the decision between this and Xenoblade cover.
The OMG system sounds really interesting if they can deliver on its promise. I would love to play it on 3DS but I'm not really great at shmups. Hope there's an easy mode for not so sklilled players.
Also, here in Poland I don't see any stock shortages. You can buy pretty much any amiibo that has been released so far in Europe for it's normal price. I'm not really collecting all of them but I will be picking up some of the upcoming ones.
I don't get what's the point in going for that kind of low stock of some amiibos? I understand that people are more keen to buy limited stuff because they realize it's not gonna be available later, but Nintendo seems to deliberately underproduce them.
@BlatantlyHeroic Sure! But it's always cool to have options.
@Quorthon That's really a cultural stuff. It's not like they act it to sound fake or something. This is how Japanese people actually talk. It's sometimes hard for Western audiences to evaluate acting of Japanese actors because it's so different than what we're used to.
I actually preferred Japanese voices over the English ones in original Xenoblade. I hope they will still be available for the 3DS makeover and to includo both would be a great feature for X.
This is just a digital re-release and nothing more. I remember playing it couple of years ago with wiimote + nunchack and honestly I don't know what's the big deal with "bad controls" in this game. I admit that it controls rather horrible with wiimote only but if you're using the nunchuck it plays just fine.
Also, these videos are pointless. When Metroid hits eShop in a week's time, let me predict what's gonna happen. Is it going to be a different game? Will there be anything changed or added or enhanced in the eShop version? The answer is: NO.
Never happened to me and I can't see it happening on New 3DS. I carry the 3DS either in my pocket or a case, never loose in a bag so that's totally useless to me, especially that most of the games I have in digital copies anyway.
Art style seems like a typical let's make a retro game, but the gameplay looks quite fun and overall it seems like it's gonna be a rather polished product. I'd love to see this on 3DS also.
Cool, the question is does this game really needs a remake? Nintendo could do an official one probably for a rather small cost using SM3D World assets and a little bit updated/enhance gameplay/controls.
I guess there's a bigger chance for original SM64 to be released for Wii U VC in some future.
Great idea, let's take cult classic portable console and make it not-portable. Seems like these guys saw PlayStation TV device and thought it would be cool to do the same with GB. And 65 thousand euro? That's a lot of money for TV adapter.
I guess the way to commercial success is just making kick-ass games, and Sega does not seem to get it. They should stop trying so hard to reinvent Sonic and just do a super polished 2D platformer that relies on tried ideas. When they nail the "classic" Soinc kind of game, they should start experimenting with it little by little.
Do you have to place the amiibo on the GamePad every time you start Smash Bros. ? Or it's just one-time scan of the figure and the game remembers it? The point of having physical figures is the interaction so I was kind of wondering how often do you have to use them with the gamepad,
It's greaat to see that various amiibos will work with multiple titles. I also hapoe that for Smash Bros. the same amiibos will work with both 3DS and Wii U versions in a way that you can carry your amiibos state and progress between both games.
I would very much like to see some content inspired by other IP's in a similar way SEGA did DLC for latest Sonic. Hyrule Field track, anyone? Mario Kart Epic Yarn?
@unrandomsam You don't really have to use it, ever. The game doesn't force you to use MKTV but I haven't seen an option to just remove it from menus or something.
I was wondering why Nintendo was showing this aliased 720p screenshots all the time and here's the answer. 720p with no AA. I couldn't care less about resolutiongate so it doesn't affect my thoughts on the game. Still getting it on day one. And kudos to Nintendo that they didn't lie with promotional screenshots like almost everybody else does.
Hmm, that's kinda strange. So, is the game too easy on "normal"? I usually do my first playthrough of most games on "normal" as I think this is kind of "as intented" and not too hard but not too easy setting. I'm gonna get Child of Light in upcoming weeks and when looking at "casual" vs "expert" I feel like I'm fitting somewhere in between in RPGs. On the other hand the first "Gears of War" on "casual" was a pretty big challenge so naming conventions are really not worth much.
If Nintendo doesn't ship some serious numbers on both the game and the system then it might be game over. I really hope that MK8 will get a lot of press coverage and great review scores for that damn Metacritic to go sky-high and get attention of all the undecided folks. I really want Wii U to succeed and to get more great games. I own Wii U since launch and already played some great titles on it, I'm very happy with the console and don'y want to see it go away. The only way we can shape the industry is to vote with our wallets what games should be made.
So it has Off-TV play, correct? And it runs 60fps like on other systems? And, could someone clarify how the co-op works in terms of controls on Wii U? The review says the second player uses Wii Remote in a similiar way to Super Mario Galaxy, but it does not support motion controls. So, do you move the pointer with D-pad or Nunchuck or what?
Pandora's Tower and Mario & Luigi: Dream Team Bros on the go. Will probably play Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion on Wii U and if time will allow I might go and finish Assassin's Creed IV on XBO.
It's kinda strange that EA hates Nintendo this gen while they released a ton of games last gen for Wii and DS, even exclusive versions of their top franchises like NFS Nitro.

Re: Nintendo Download: 19th March (Europe)
I wonder if they will follow up with the DS Castlevanias, altough that would be problematic to play in Off-TV mode.

Yeah, seems like a hell of an exploit. Nintendo should finally do a reliable profile system that makes sense. Mario day on March 10? Mar 10, ooooh, I get it. They should've mention it earlier, I wasn't aware of this.
Re: Kirby and the Rainbow Paintbrush to Roll Into Europe on 8th May
There's already Witcher 3 and Splatoon coming out in May, but I'll always find time for some clay Kirby
Re: Review: OlliOlli (3DS eShop)
@audiobrainiac There's an additional launch discount. Don't remember how long it's valid but I would get the game now regardless of the crash bug.

I'm loving the game but have you experienced any stability issues? The game is randomly crashing for me once in a while. It's not a deal breaker but it's probably the only game that ever did that to me.
Re: Rumour: South African Retailer Lists Greninja, Jigglypuff and Splatoon amiibo for May Release
Squidgirl is so adorable I would buy that even without any NFC functionality. Nintendo knows how to design great characters.

@RJBurgess I'm in Warsaw so I suppose it's a bit easier here. You can try ordering them from electronicdreams.pl or ultima.pl
I see that Ultima is already taking pre-orders for Wave 4 and SMB figures. Also, it's still possible to get any Wave 1 amiibos.

Metroid Prime AND Circle of the Moon!
