Not playing much today as decided to give the car a few km and enjoy the sunny day but I finally bought three houses last week and I am loving it so far and if I have time continue with the Witcher on pc (as I loved the third so much!)

@sketchturner it is really really good but I found the card game boring (did not finish it). Story wise my favourites are shovel and spectre and gameplay wise plague and king

Art style looks good but handheld only and motion oriented gameplay is a no no in my book

Well at least I was right about the date of the direct... Let's see what's the game for this holiday season (let's gold/silver or remake 4th gen...). Hoping for a proper direct later in the month (max early February)

@Dromosus I was coming here to say that same thing. I love the port (and the game) but on my 120h into it I had pretty much a crash every 5h or so and ended changing the automatic saves to every 3min to avoid losing progress

I did not play nearly of those games this year and definitely not for long. The ones I played the most are

The Witcher 3 - 120h
Dragon quest XI - 90h
Final fantasy XII - 75h

I would be very surprised if the direct is not on the next Thursday...

@MysticalOS I did not play any RPG at the time and when I say unskipable I mean not even be able to button mash it. You just need to wait for the text to scroll the whole way

I have a bit of a backlog on switch on the moment due to all the sales (and I am about 10h in onto Nino Kuni...) However after 120h on the Witcher 3 and only missing the second dlc pack I decided I have to give another shot at the original games so I removed the dust on my old laptop and praid to the gaming gods that it won't shut up from overheating and I have to say I am absolutely enjoying the Witcher (obviously an old game and way simpler but the character and the deep lore is there)

On SNES I will have a look at breath of fire (but I tried the first one and unskipable dialogue turned me off completely. Let's hope it works a not the same on the sequel).
in general I do not enjoy 8bit games (visually and gameplay wise are too damm jarring) but I will try cristalys....

Great Indies world (probably the best so far). Day one sports story and axiom verge 2 (the first is an absolute masterpiece) and should also buy gleamlight (still have to see a bit more), the smash mash looks odd but maybe it will be good

Finished Luigi's mansion during the week (can't say I am a big fan of puzzles games and I rushed through it a bit to get on other stuff) and bought Witcher.

I am liking it so far, the graphics are quite jarring at start but I got use to it fairly quickly (and for me same t looks way better on TV than handheld), the gameplay is far from amazing but I am enjoying the story.

The switch is already using the hat chip on the new model and lite lol. They just preferred to use it for battery life... Also for people saying that 25% is not enough of a boost just remember that if the increase is of 100% that is not a pro but a new generation leap

Europe is terrible as the colors are so washed out, America is ok but I do prefer the Japan one

Finally got my switch back yesterday as it had to replace the cartridge reader so coming back to DQ XI. Loving it (nearly 50h now)

I am waiting for a physical for quest (I talked with the dev a while ago and they were considering it) but totally recommend heist (a hidden gem that I bought on the last price drop. It is a big game also). Not a big fan of the dig ones

Well I don't know... There is no game from the best gaming franchise that released this week...

But to be fair won't be playing much as I am on leave and travelling a bit for a change. Meanwhile I have also started DQ VIII (screw my life) and I will need to have a look at the ori demo even though I am already sold as I Love metroidvanias and the artstyle and music of this game is just A M A Z I N G

Really nice to see all the options and in general I don't mind the digital controls as I allways played racing games on pc on the keyboard only

I will say that change is welcomed and more people on the show floor is a good thing. But in the end I just hope the big companies keep bringing hype to it (hype can be a bad thing but it is fine as long as people do not pre-order!!!)

I played LM3 a while ago and it is awesome . From the rest of the list I will have a look at kunai. I really did not like the original meat boy (floaty and slippery gameplay is a no no in my book)

But the real question is why is the Witcher 3 not mentioned in this article as it was playable for the first time at pax?

I was hyped for this one but saw some reviews saying the port is awful. I will have to wait and see (nonetheless this one was coming on the list after Zelda, DQ and hori)

I cannot answer the poll as none of the options available relate to me.
I liked what I have seen at the reveal a year ago but since then the game lost its interest (gameplay and storywise) and now that reviews are in I am pretty sure I will never be bother to buy it

@premko1 true but I don't think I will buy a second switch (but cloud saves is one of the reasons I decided to bite the bullet in the first instance)

To be fair I think I will cancel my one in December. I never play online (just not my thing) and SNES is not enough for me (from the list so far I will finish super metroid and link to the past and will never touch it again but to be fair as I am half way through metroid I already have more than doubled the time I have put into nes ones)

I am surprised by the results of the poll so far. I have nothing against this type of product but like labo is just not for me (and I was initially not expecting the gamer world to look at this in the best eyes but I may be wrong)

@echoplex in a week that 70000+ switches were sold I find that mk8 sold poorly...

This looks like a hack to me. No way anyone played the game that much in 2.5years

I love the UI as snappy as it is but I have to say I would like no. 5.

@KiryuJ I agree with you. That is why most of the reviews I see are on YouTube from people I know their tastes and that from my experience I can trust them to be true to their word

Super metroid is number 2 and f-zero top 5 (I did not play at least 12 games of this list and have absolutely no interest in even trying it anyways)
