@Edu23XWiiU are you saying that all systems sold in the last year already have the improved battery life? I know they changed the chip a while ago to combat homebrew but thought the new chip used on lite and new switch was an improved different one
This games is at a limbo for me. On one hand I like the artstyle and the story appears to be interesting enough on the other hand I absolutely hate platinum button-masher gameplay (aka action " combos" heavy)
@JamesJose7 believe me that is not the case for most of us my launch joycon started drifting about a year now and it is currently unplayable. I bought also a second pair when I sent the launch ones to fix the connectivity issue and those drift occasionally but it is a matter of time until it gets unplayable
@VGScrapbook they are actually very easy to identify as if it is a drift on menus the cursor it will force to go in one specific direction (in the case of both my left joy cons it goes up) and since this week I have a similar issue with the L trigger of my blue one... Not sure how it got stuck as I treat it with care and I don't think it had water damage
@leo13 ok, the thing is that I actually checked this morning and I have 88 games with save data on the internal storage and I have 19.7 GB free still (but I don't play creative games that's for sure)
@leo13 you ok, never had that problem. I am assuming you have a lot of NBA 2k save files. Have you already cleared all games saved on the internal memory?
@Ooccoo_Jr the reason I feel that is unlikely is that I wouldn't expect a bigger switch as the current one is already on the limits of handhelding therefore not a bigger battery also (off you ever saw a switch open you see it has already the bigger battery possible) therefore any extra power will come at the expense of reduced battery life (in line with current switch is a normal compromise)
@Toph6661 the battery is the same. The difference is in the chip that has a better heat performance (it will be the chip used on the lite that also will be harder to crack)
@graysoncharles ok, you're not talking about cloud saving from the console or steam. You're taking about the same thing as I that is to have your saves backed by yourself (if it on SD card, hard drive or cloud it does no really matter). For my part I still prefer to have more than one physical backup
@zool yes, you own the game on your 3ds and if you save it on a SD card you can play it 20 years from now. For the game to run on switch it would need to be ported and that has a cost. that is a perfect example of gamer entitlement
@RiasGremory that docked is stronger than handheld? No joke Sherlock... The only comparison possibly is bettwen the power of each tablet and most likely lite is slight better than OG as technology gets cheaper everyday and they got the time to enhance ir
@zool yes, you can if the product is not good and people don't adopt it. But note I am talking stadia in particular as the way I see it Google is handling it as poor as it can gets.
On the 60$ the thing is that a cartridge or a download you have the game in your possession and even if servers are disconnected you can play the games but that won't be true with stadia
@Sim1 right, what I mean is that they will cost you the same as other media and that makes no sense to me as I don't see the value in it for a product that if they want they can cancel and then you cannot play the game anymore
@zool yes, Stadia premium is launching later this year and free version next year. That still does not resolve the issues with latency, data caps and the fact that you need to pay 60$ for a game that you can use exclusively online. IMO Microsoft has potential to make it worth it if included in the gamepass and for games that you can play on a console if you prefer. I would be very much surprised if Stadia is still a thing in 5 years time
@zool I am android user and can assure you Stadia is not going anywhere both because the infrastructure is not there and mostly because the monetization is beyond ridiculous
@zool I used alluded to on purpose as I don't think there is prove of it but that does not really matter as Nintendo clearly decided do downgrade on it to avoid a public outlash. I will add that on a personal perspective I cannot deal with it for than more than a few seconds of it without having headache
@zool they dumped because the concept is not interesting to the majority of its market (3d did not sell nearly any 3ds as you can see from early sales. In the end what saved 3ds were games regardless of the use of the technology). Also you can bet with the studies that alluded to the 3d being bad for children Nintendo will not touch that in the next 10-20 years
@PCkid your previous post makes no sense. The games need to run on handheld so a more powerful dock accomplishes nothing as AAA won't do games that don't run on handheld
@Blizzia you're forgetting the current battery won't fit in the lite. They have better battery life with smaller battery (also is a fact that the chip used is not the same and has a better heat performance)
@RiasGremory not sure where you got that idea and I doubt it. The better battery life most likely means the lite is slight better for n performance than original and it makes sense as they won't be using the same chip due to its hackable issues
Got my hands on it last night and oh boy how good is to comeback to this pearl! However I got into an issue as the game did not recognize that I had beaten it and had to beat the final stage any boss again (let's say after a year I was rusty as hell and took me more than I would like to admit)
@nintendoknife "Castlevania has clunky controls, tank jumps, unfair hitboxes (with added kickback...), Etc". Therefore I don't like the way it works... You got that part right lool
@nintendoknife well I gave my reasons why the games are bad, I am not just saying they are... I also don't like 2d mario games but I don't consider them bad quite the contrary
@BionicDodo by old style I mean the ones from the 8 and 16 bit era (basically the non metroidvania ones) but I never played any other of the GBA or DS so I cannot say in which style they fit
@BionicDodo @EarthboundBenjy it is obviously my opinion but all I can see in the old style Castlevania is clunky controls, tank jumps, unfair hotboxes (with added kickback...), Etc. For instance I tried the bloodstained 8bit style from last year and just gave up on it on the second stage as the gameplay is just not good enough to keep my attention (not when you can play shovel knight, Celeste or hollow knight that have good gameplay)

Re: Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night Switch Fix Expected To Arrive Soon
@60frames-please that will never happen lol. They are struggling to keep it in the double digits in certain areas

Re: Poll: Have Your Joy-Con Been Drifting?
@ricardosteve it happens with use as the sticks have a flawed base that wears off with time

Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life
@Dpishere it has a smaller battery as the current one does not fit in it
Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life
@Crono1973 you have played your switch for 2.5years now and the others not...
Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life
@leo13 you can buy a 400gb SD card for under 50 nowadays
Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life
@Desrever have you ever tried to do a soft reboot to clean the kernel memory? Hopefully should fix your games launching issues
Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life

Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life
@Ooccoo_Jr a pro model won't have this kind of battery life as it will be pushed to the limit of its capacity (like the original switch)
Re: New Standard Nintendo Switch Revision Offers Significantly Improved Battery Life
@Toph6661 the battery is the same. The difference is in the chip that has a better heat performance (it will be the chip used on the lite that also will be harder to crack)

@graysoncharles cloud saving is the least safe of them all as you're depending on the publisher to keep the service running...

@zool that is why I said to not expect it in 10-20 years
Re: Rumour: Dataminer Supposedly Uncovers Tech Specs For New And Improved Switch
@zool call it speculation if you prefer but it is your own words that Nintendo clearly abandoned it mid way through the 3ds life cycle
Re: Rumour: Dataminer Supposedly Uncovers Tech Specs For New And Improved Switch
@Blizzia well that is your speculation but it is a fact that the lite is using a different chip

@Moroboshi876 you can download it but this dlc is only available to play after beating the story
Re: Rumour: Dataminer Supposedly Uncovers Tech Specs For New And Improved Switch
I doubt this change will even advertised as such. This imlooks like an internal review that no-one will know until opening it

Re: Rewind Feature And Two NES Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch Online In July
@Spoony_Tech for 20$/year you can bet Nintendo is not willing to pay royalties for third party games
Re: Rewind Feature And Two NES Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch Online In July
@Crono1973 because they paid for a year in advance lol
Re: Rewind Feature And Two NES Games Are Coming To Nintendo Switch Online In July
@Rygar are any of the games released so far not first party? This is no VC and they don't want to pay royalties
Re: Dr. Mario World Launches A Day Earlier Than Expected, Out Now On iOS And Android
Everyone complaining about the f2p instead of 10$ just remember the gameisnot for you but for mobile gamers. Paid games don't sell on mobiles... For more part I did not even tried any of Nintendo's mobile games (edit: I played Pokémon go for a couple of days but who haven't and really not Nintendo)
Re: UK Charts: Super Mario Maker 2 Enjoys A Second Strong Week At Number One
Not with my buy as I am not a fan of 2d Mario's but good to see this kind of chart in the UK!

Re: Video: Digital Foundry Explores Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Disappointing Switch Version
@BionicDodo frame rate and input lag are far from being worst than poor gameplay
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Explores Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Disappointing Switch Version
@BionicDodo unless they changed the gameplay specifically for switch that is not true (and here is fact not opinion)
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Explores Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Disappointing Switch Version
@BionicDodo by old style I mean the ones from the 8 and 16 bit era (basically the non metroidvania ones) but I never played any other of the GBA or DS so I cannot say in which style they fit
Re: Video: Digital Foundry Explores Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night's Disappointing Switch Version
@BionicDodo @EarthboundBenjy it is obviously my opinion but all I can see in the old style Castlevania is clunky controls, tank jumps, unfair hotboxes (with added kickback...), Etc.
