Re: Microsoft Focused On Launching Ori Sequel Exclusively On Xbox One And PC

Alpha-2002

Phil Spencer's 7-Step-Plan for Dominating the Ninth Gen:

1. Be good to Nintendo fans by porting over beloved exclusives.
2. Make sequels to beloved exclusives MS-exclusives of the same quality.
3. Nintendo Fans buy into Xbox Scarlett and/or snag our copy on Steam.
4. Profit.
5. Nintendo fans are thus introduced to more MS exclusives on Xbox/PC.
6. MORE profit.
7. Repeat until PlayStation is dead.

@chewytapeworm Google's platform for streaming games over the Interwebs via their cloud infrastructure. Pay for 4K streaming in November (or eventually get 1080p for free) and you buy the games a la carte. Lots of big names are behind it - Ubisoft, Bungie, Squenix, Namco, even CDPR - and it's definitely one to watch out for. (I personally think that it'll crash and burn, but I'd love to be proven wrong.)

@gamekill Honestly, that might not be such a good idea. Because then people would want Mario and Pokémon and Smash and... well, you get the picture.

HOWEVER, if there was a dead IP Microsoft wanted to breathe some life into that Nintendo has zero interest in (F-Zero, Earthbound/MOTHER, etc.)… that's where I see Nintendo becoming a bit more lenient. (Provided that it still shows up on el Switch-o, of course.)
