Interesting, to say the least. Main character seems a bit too cocky for mass consumption - and Platinum being entrusted with five (!) titles at once is worrying - but it would be nice to see Kamiya-san's vision finally come to light. Either way, I'm taking this with a grain of salt until Nintendo confirms it.

@graysoncharles It could, but they'd need to put in a lot of work optimizing it for Switch. And considering the fact that more graphically intense games (e.g. AC Odyssey and RDR 2) consistent outperform both on new and old 8th-gen consoles... from a technical viewpoint, KH3 on Switch unoptimized would be a dumpster fire.

@aaronsullivan I'm aware of all this, but I just don't want Legendary to count their chickens before they hatch. DP looks great, however... and as long as they can remember that self-contained stories come first (i.e. no cliffhanger endings), then they'll be looking at a new franchise in no time.

Considering the less-than-stellar reception it had on other platforms, do we really want it?

Focus on one movie first, Legendary. THEN we can talk about sequels, spinoffs, other Nintendo IPs, etc.

@blackbox64 Why not both? Nintendo probably has enough cash to successfully pull a Sega. I can see it now: Zelda proper on PC/Xbox/PlayStation, more Dragalia Lost on smartphones. Makes sense to me.

Although, considering the Switch is already a departure from home consoles, it probably just means Nintendo will go all-in on hybrids in the future. I am OK with this.

Considering the Vita is pretty much dead at this point, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a dual release on PS4 and Switch at this point.
