To all those asking about charging via power banks:

As stated in the original post, using a USB-A to USB-C cable to charge your Switch will be slow, but in theory totally safe. USB-A isn't rated for or capable of pushing anything close to enough juice to cause any issues.

Chances are it'll just drain your battery more slowly rather than actually charging it if you're playing at the same time, but it's better than a Switch-shaped brick.

I'm not trying to be condescending but if you truly don't want something that thrives on attention to exist, the best thing you can do is ignore it entirely. Without attention these things die, so vote with your clicks.

@MsJubilee If you don't consider an article newsworthy (on any media outlet, not just NL) the best message you can send is to not interact with it at all. A view and a comment is supremely positive feedback in the eyes of search engines and analytics, even if the comment is negative.
