Japanese peripheral maker Hori has just revealed a new tabletop stand for the Switch, but this one comes with some neat additions which set it apart from the hordes of simplistic portable stands currently on the market.
The most notable feature is the fact that the stand allows you to charge your Switch while you're playing (as long as you have the stand plugged into a wall socket, of course). It also has four USB ports so you can plug in accessories - including keyboards, wired controllers and even the LAN adapter - while you're on the move.
It launches in May this year. Will you be investing some pennies in this? Let us know by tapping out a comment below.

This interests me, I do like Hori products and they tend to be officially licensed. Will keep an eye on it.
Curious - why would a keyboard be enough of a selling point in the Japanese market to feature on the box? Is there some popular MMO we don't have?
Microsoft Word: Nintendo Switch Edition.
Does this has HDMI output? that will make it perfect, I don't want to pay 80 pounds for the dock switch and I need a second one.
Add a mouse and I will play FPS and RTS on your console
Pretty cool but I never find myself playing in tabletop mode. The screen feels too small and weird to play on at a distance so it's either handheld or docked on my TV for me.
@AlexOlney
"Microsoft Word: Nintendo Switch Edition."
@kupocake Yes, Dragon Quest X.
How long before it bricks your Switch?
@SmaggTheSmug Give me motion ala World of Goo and I'll jump on any rts...though mouse would be ideal. Would love WoW on Switch with a keyboard and 4G lan adapter...
So it's basically a full dock but without HDMI? Interesting.
@kupocake theres two. both havent been released outside japan. the first is monster hunter xx and the other is dragon quest x. both of these are MMOs. the second more so than the other
+9000 for HDMI output
How much is it?
@AlexOlney
Now if you said Excel I would of been sold. I'm a sucker for some Excel and VBA action, salivating at the thought.
Sold.
@AlbertXi It's just a stand and not a dock.
I will most likely pick this up. Hori has been on their game lately.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE Exactly why I haven't bought one of these kind of stands yet, but I could really use one.
Price is also important.
Interesting.
A bit off topic, but I noticed that there are 3rd party pro controllers, none for Joy-Con's though yet (could be wrong). Anyways, yeah I think I might by this dock hopefully.
This might be handy to use alongside my iPad and audio interface once Korg Gadget hits the Switch.
I want to get one, but I won't until I know it's safe, I don't wanna risk breaking my Switch like the Nyko mini dock has done to other Switches.
Hori accessories are always of the highest quality!
I wish hori would release a portable version of this £80 official dock.
I'm not paying 1/3 of the price of a new switch to have a dock in my bedroom
No HDMI for TV mode, it says it on the official site within the Twitter link. no go for me
@AlbertXi no, it says it in the official site, so i won't be picking this up despite it looking amazing.
@SLIGEACH_EIRE HORI stuff doesn't - it's directly licensed by Nintendo.
THE ONE TIME I WANT AN AMAZON LINK ON THIS SITE. This thing looks great, have wanted something like this for my desk, if I pop those JoyCons off it'll look like I'm taking notes.
"The Computer for the rest of us"
If it means I can plug in arcade controllers in tabletops, I'm getting two.
A lack of an HDMI port is a deal killer for me. It's a shame; otherwise this would have been perfect.
@AlexOlney Gimme PowerPoint on Switch instead
*PowerPort to Switch
I like this one a lot! I wish they, or Nintendo itself would release a full dock like this! But I think I will pick this one up.
@AlexOlney WordPerfect or gtfo! Don't you know everything old is new again?
@AlexOlney I'd buy that day 1!
The keyboard made things interesting. But I guess I shouldn’t get my hopes up for Word of Warcraft on Switch... That would be totally epic though.
Thank you to all the people who answered, I appreciate it
Will this be released outside of JP?
The lack of a HDMI port on this is a good thing.
