Re: Sports Direct Buys 25.75 Percent Stake In Embattled UK Retail Chain GAME

GAME has the potential to be good. GAME has the potential to be great, but it's been reduced to nothing more than a shop that sells games; games that can be bought for less with less hassle and delivered to your door on the day of release for free.

There is no advantage to GAME, and it's genuinely disappointing. I used to love going in there and seeing what they had on offer, but the focus has shifted to profit over everything. Consumers are moving on and to cope they're having to boost their prices leaving the remaining few paying more for nothing extra in return.

The games don't need to be on display, that space can be far better used for demo kiosks and the like where people can try games out before purchasing them, adding value to the experience. If there was an Argos-type system with a back room holding thousands of individual copies of games without the need to display them nicely they could save an incredible amount of hassle and floorspace and use that to provide other experiences for the customers.

Selling games was their USP but now that has been taken over by bigger, more streamlined outlets and GAME needs to adapt to survive.

And no, I don't mean by introducing a new premium membership that offers naff all.

The puzzles are genuinely clever without that Monkey Island-style 'use everything on everything until something works' motif. There's logic to it all and the presentation is wonderful. Nice one Ryan!

That teeny-tiny ethernet adapter is definitely on my radar, but I have no idea what that charging plate illustrations is supposed to be showing.

Is it a sleeve that goes around the Switch? Is that the Switch's screen at the top or is it something else to do with the device?

EDIT: On closer inspection I think the whole thing is a battery with Joy-Cons on the side.
A weird, misshapen, impractical battery.

Re: Guide: How to Get Third Party 8Bitdo Controllers Running on Your Switch

@RupeeClock I can't say I've ever tried to hold select in any instance and everything seems to be working fine. Try reconnecting it as done in the vid through the controller menu by just pressing Y & Start and leaving it. Sometimes it can seem to take a ludicrously long time but just leave it to donits thing and it should pair up nicely.

Then leave that Select button alone in future connecting 😉
