@Sligeach In reality we did get actual free DLC, just later on. The game was mostly completed in August after their 2.0 update, in which we were given basically everything we were originally promised back when the Splatoon Direct was shown (with the exception of a few weapons) From that point, most of the following content was new and free DLC.
I think their reasoning behind their last response (at least the one featured in this article) is pretty dumb. On topic though; I really enjoyed Splatoon and it was super fun. My main complaint was the overall method it was handled at first.
@PlywoodStick #61 There is actually not that many true sword fighters in Smash Bros. I won't lie that there is a couple but there is no where near as many true sword fighters as people are making it out to seem.
I think this picture does a pretty good job of laying them out:
Never would've guessed Prune would be their best game of the year. Also, I feel like this list is missing a few significant games; at the moment I'm recalling Bloodborne and Fallout 4 but I'm sure I'm missing a few.
@Moon
Linkle was one of the discarded characters for Hyrule Warriors. In her original design she was meant to be just a female Link. This Linkle isn't the same, as they changed several things about her; they just happened to kept her name and signature weapon.
So to answer your questions: yes, she is her own character, no, she is not the hero reborn, yes, her and Link can appear in the same room, the general design for her current clothing is based off of her original tunic (although several distinct features were altered), and they kept her original name.
They're pretty, but it's a shame that people will only see Linkle in Hyrule Warriors as just a female Link instead of her own separate and individual character. Oh well, she's not even canon, so it doesn't even matter.
Based on the trailer, Linkle seems to actually talk. If she does actually talk, then I would assume that Linkle is indeed her own separate character and not just a simple female version of Link.

Looks good, but the Pointed/Extended Hood and Hylian shield on it are a turn off. If I do purchase it, I probably won't wear it in Public.

@Splatburst I hope they do; it'd be a shame if they didn't.

@Splatburst What are you talking about? Are you referring to my point about her being her own character?

Re: Hyrule Warriors Legends Gets a Release Date and 'Female Link', Linkle
@MrMario02 I prefer this look tbh. Makes her look more like her own character, instead of just a female version of Link.
Re: Hyrule Warriors Legends Gets a Release Date and 'Female Link', Linkle
@Trikeboy She also appears to talk.
Re: Video: Catch Up With All of the Nintendo Direct Videos
Pretty good Direct overall imo. A bit boring in the middle (mostly because of the lower tier games), but other than that, I though it was pretty good.
