I think this is basically the only Pokémon game I ever lost. Pokémon Gold all the way!

Good subs and special. Not sure if they match the weapon, since .52 is more of a close range fighter and is not too fast at killing.

Bubble Blower needed the nerf. Not sure if it's enough, but it has always been ridiculous.

@Moon It's a difficult game, but you'll do a lot better if you just play cautiously. As in don't rush in anywhere, so the game doesn't gut punch you, but be prepared to get cheap shotted a lot.

When starting off in the series the bosses are mostly trial and error. So they can be a wall to some people, but they become much easier the more you get used to them.

@SegaBlueSky I'd say they could improve a fair amount of things in DS1. Its world is the best in the series but it has some areas that could definitely be improved and fixed. Lost Izalith most notably.

The beginning of the music sort of reminded of a worse version of another piece from a soundtrack. Perhaps Pokémon.

Another part is a straight up copy of the Splatoon soundtrack just distorted.

The comments here differ greatly from other comment sections I commonly see. It’s always a bit interesting to see how different view points can be depending on the site and audience.

One of my main gripes is that they always throw out cool side activities, in favor of one and done or someday possibly bringing it back. It’s disappointing that they shuffle out things like Pokémon contests, olympics, safari and stuff like that they could really develop but instead just abandon until a later date.

By "these types of releases" I mean alternate versions of the same Pokemon game with small differences.

Incredibly sudden for that Pikachu. It's not surprising for Pokemon to talk. The Pokemon Mystery Dungeon series has Pokemon speaking effectively and consistently with one another but Ash's Pikachu which basically has always said "Pika pika!" is very much a "wait what" moment.

Pokemon who speak generally have special circumstances that justify their ability to speak with humans as well.

@scottienigma I wouldn't buy it either, tbh. Doesn't offer enough new stuff to catch and likely hold my attention. Not to mention, I'm tired of these types of releases.

Btw, did USUM address SM's more annoying elements?

Does the game still run poopy? Did they fix the festival plaza or alleviate the SOS system? Is the handholding less apparent? Stuff like that.

You guys didn't really address too much beyond the new features.

It was in game where you were able to see the full schedule. I haven't played in a while.

You could already see the schedule previously. I'm assuming they just made it easier to see and find.

Game is janky as heck. Imo, it swings mostly between eh and mediocre, with some instances of genuine fun.

I really can't get behind how some of these characters look. Just so generic and sexualized.

Which is a shame in my case, since the world actually looks pretty and I actually like a couple of them.

@Oat I haven't actually played the game, tbh, but from what my friend told me, she said it was mostly an issue of it being a remake of Metroid 2. She ended up liking the game, despite disliking the original, but the general structure of it brought it down for her.

From what I seen of it though, it seems like a fine game.

@Yalaa If an excuse is necessary, it'll probably be that it's a bad game/a remake/coming out on a dying console (not on the switch)/AM2R is better.

That's just how things happen a lot of the time. If you're a fan of something unpopular get used to hearing other people dislike or hate on it for a good while. Even if what they say is untrue/misinformed.
