It's getting to be that time yet again for North America, when it's time for another Splatfest. Arguably the biggest event to happen within Splatoon, these day long battles provide the easiest way to acquire those expensive Super Sea Snails in bulk. This month's Splatfest is something of a dilemma, as the debate is between two equally tasty foods that are absolutely terrible for you.
The Splatfest will be about Hamburgers vs. Pizzas and will be taking place on 4th December, starting at 9pm PST. As always, your efforts over the next 24 hours will decide just how many of those sweet Super Sea Snails are won, so be sure to fight hard for both your team and yourself. Obviously, Pizza is the best team here, as the diversity in toppings and styles is far superior to that of the lowly hamburger.
What do you think? Are you pleased with this theme? Which team will you pick? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

Fast food, not junk food (because it gets way worse here : ) ). Pizza FTW!!!
Go Team Pizza!
Go Team Paperclips! Down with Team Staples!
I am what I eat? Odd... I dont remember eating a bodybuilder JK but seriously team pizza for the win
Pizza!
When it comes to junk food, I'm on par with these two foods. I'm not going to lie, they're both delicious. But just for this particular ocassion...
GO...
TEAM...
PIZZA!!!!!!!!!!
Hambuga
If you guys want to win, I suggest going team burger. The less popular team always manages to win these Splatfests thanks to the x6 multiplier.
Pizza because the tomato sauce and toppings taste better than ketchup and mustard . . . and because I try to stick with Marie.
That is absolutely diabolical. I don't think I can choose between the two. Seriously.
An amazing burger will beat out an amazing pizza any day for me. Go burgers!
Pizza is one of my favorite foods so I'm going pizza.
I really thought the the next splatfest should have been today!
Can I be on both teams??
@MitchVogel You guys should seriously report about how the Wii U was the best selling item on thanksgiving at target.
I'm looking forward to all of the puns on miiverse about this one. Go Team Pizza. Pizza is the only proper way to consume vegetables.
@amiiboacid Not "at" Target, "on" Target.com. And not on Thanksgiving, on Friday.
"Gaming consoles were popular in stores and online, including Nintendo Wii U, which was the top selling item on Target.com."
http://pressroom.target.com/news/target-reports-strong-start-to-black-friday-weekend-online-and-in-stores
My guess is they are waiting for a response from Nintendo. Something along the lines of - "Who knew if you lowered the price an item and advertised it that it would sell, we're stunned."
Pizza.
@rjejr I saw somewhere else that is said the Wii U was also the best selling in stores as well. Also the quote you gave, it could of said the Wii U sold best online and the PS4 sold best in stores, but it only mentioned the Wii U. I think it was the best selling gaming system in stores, but not the best selling item overall.
What's the matter with you people?? Burgers!!!
@invictus4000
Agreed!
This is going to be Pirates vs. Ninjas all over again. Everybody is going to pick Pizza, nobody is going to pick Burgers, and Burgers will win with a x8 multiplier for being low in numbers. Hoo boy.
Burgers are far better.
Now this is a difficult decision, I love both Burgers and Pizza lol.
Cowabunga!
The quote wasn't taken out of context. The Wii U was Target.com's best selling item. It just so happens that Target isn't incredibly well known for their online sales. The best sellers in stores were iPads, which averaged around 1 per second. I think it comes down to stock. A warehouse (like Target.com's warehouse) is likely loaded with Wii U's they couldn't move before the sale, versus the PS4 / XB1 that have actually been selling consistently and well. No chance the Wii U wins the sale war for November, but maybe this is what Nintendo needs to do a price cut. They can't expect the types of gamers that play the types of games NX will support to buy that console if they don't try something. 3 years and it's already dead? Why buy an NX when consumer faith in Nintendo is still on unsteady ground? While I'm at it, why buy a console that Nintendo themselves have already abandonded? A lacklustre Star Fox (that still looks a gen behind even Bayonetta 2), a Zelda Nintendo barely acknowledges, a Persona-ish FE spin-off that will likely bomb on a Nintendo console and a handful of forgettable indie games. The latter of which are already on or will be on better, more capable hardware. And when the Nintendo force strikes out, talking about how gaming was 20 years ago (not bothering to acknowledge any positivity) and how 80s-90s era games were the pinnacle of the medium, I'll point out someone like Warren Spector as someone who used to be relevant. Then the doors will open and the floodgates loosed and all the irrational, unfounded hatred will bubble over as we all die, drowning in the tears of the 'afflicted'.
There's a lot of squids joining Team Pizza... which means there's a high possibility that it will lose. But eff it! I'm still gonna join them. I looooove pizza. drools XD
Love both. Hardest choice ever
"Junk food" isn't really what I think of woth these two though. Sounds more like a snack or desert or something. Waiting for someone from another region to point out how fat we all apparently are.
@SahashraLA Wrong article dude.
@SahashraLA Upon closer inspection it appears I am in the wrong. Nevermind, continue.
@DiscoGentleman the traditional sense of pizza is a pizza margherita which has no meat on it at all, or do you mean you're vegan?
@Mijzelffan I was just about to comment on that. I'm a veggie and love me some pizza.
I will join team Xenoblade Chronicles X as that is the same day the Splatfest is being held. Way to put all your events in one basket NoA.... Dumb. Also if the Smash event happens on the 3rd.... Wow. Put it all out there.
Also... If you play as a guy squid on team burger and get to top rank you will be called BurgerKing. And you and Nintendo will then be sued by BurgerKing, the lamest hamburger fast food restaurant in Merica. Copy, right?
The Krusty Krab pizza, is the pizza, for you and me!
Is this even a question? GO TEAM PIZZA!
Submit to the almighty pizza!
Hamburgers are disgusting, so pizza. How can you not love pizza?
@Zelkardaim No, just, no.
Pizza pls
Pizza pls
I love both, but pizza has my vote here. If this Splatfest goes like the other ones then Pizza gonna win popular vote and Burgers gonna win it all. xD
Pizza? Junk food???
@MasterWario I've eaten so much bad pizza in my life. It can certainly be junk food meant only to satiate hunger. Same with burgers. Something like a Big Mac is junk food. A McCountry served in Croatia isn't.
@LemonSlice Yeah I hear ya. I eat pizza all the time so I'd rather not call it junk food, ha ha, although I understand how it can be considered one.
Burgers are more versatile than people give them credit. I would be on said team if I didn't have in-laws coming into town/Christmas concert rehearsal that weekend.
@PrincePeach92 Popularity shouldn't be a factor, it's a good thing there's a x6 multiplier now
You pizza-loving losers are going down this Saturday. I got my grill and beef ready!!
