Tanooki Statue

The regular costume updates for Super Mario Maker keep right on rolling, with Barbara the Bat and Chitoge Kirisaki being the most recent additions. Though many of you will soon be able to scan in the Wolf Link amiibo, one more classic costume has just been added ahead of the canine hero's appearance.

The new costume is just the statue part of the Tanooki Mario costume, but upon closer inspection, one can see that there's actually a little Mario hiding behind it as he runs. Sure, it's a rather random inclusion, but it's one that's obviously very fitting and even mildly humourous. Check out the footage below:
