Monster Hunter X

As some of you may be aware, Monster Hunter X just launched in Japan only a few days ago. The follow up to last year's Monster Hunter 4G boasts a much more dynamic and fast paced combat system that should make most fights even more exciting and spectacular. While it's still not confirmed for the West, it's practically bound to happen given how successful Monster Hunter 4 was.

Nonetheless, it appears that Japan has taken to the newest installment quite well. A user on NeoGAF recently spotted that the game has just overtaken its predecessor on the eShop for total units sold, and in only three days of being out in the wild. While it's difficult to track sales on the eShop, we have some idea of how many digital units were sold. When it outdid Gunman Clive, that put it over 140K copies, so we know that sales have at least passed that milestone on the eShop.

What do you think? Will Capcom be releasing a Monster Hunter X Ultimate here in the West? How many hours have you put into Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate? Share your thoughts in the comments below.
