I hope that the rumor was true earlier this year about having the ability to play GCN games through VC on the Wii U eShop. That and I hope we get something similar to what Nintendo Of Japan showed off in package details.

It's sad really. The more ppl keep saying stuff like that about the GBA coming to 3DS VC like as if it's gonna take forever to come, the more chances of it taking forever will happen. For GBA to come on the eShop, just be patient. It will happen eventually.

I should probably watch the European presentation, but I think I'd rather watch the American one. They (probably) won't be too different, anyway, and surely we'll only get an "up to retailers" price in Europe, while the US price will actually give me an idea of the prices here. Actually, I'll try watching both at the same time, but without sound on one of them.

Looks like I need to save up some more for the $350 Deluxe bundle. So far, this has been a really interesting preview. So North America actually gets Nintendo Land bundled, in a way. Also, Nintendo TVii looks really cool.

Only fifty extra bucks for the Premium addition, which comes with a copy of Nintendo land, some fancy plastic things, and 24 extra Gigs.
The cost of Nintendo Land alone would be fifty bucks, and you'd buy it immediately after getting the Wii U anyway (or not). Sounds like a good deal to me.

Interesting news about TVii. Not as exciting as game announcements, but numbers suggest that people watch media more than they play games on all current gen systems... so spending some time to hype and explain the feature is probably a good move.

One issue: I strongly question whether this will be North America or just a US exclusive, much like Hulu and countless other free video services. Seems very likely that they will NOT provide this service for Canadians, although I'd love to be proven wrong.

Nintendo Land looks to be the most compelling game title to launch so far. Unless, ofc, if ZombieU gets a US release on day 1 as well.

I'm no fan of Call of Duty, but it's great to hear that Activision is supporting the Wii remote and nunchuck as an alternate control scheme, which actually kind of suprised me. Can't say the say for ZombiU. booo.

And the Reg head looked like he was about to take a trip to nappy land during that overly long TVii demonstration haha. Cant say i blame him!

Final thoughts - a great system for somebody who doesn't already own an HD console. but then i'ld buy a PS3 holiday bundle for $199 and play most of these same games cheaper. Can't spend $300 just to play Pikmin 3.
OK, if TRU or Target or GS throws in NL to the basic or a $50 GC for the black AND it's in stock, Ill buy 1.

It all looks great, price is reasonable, but I'm going to wait a while for a couple of reasons. #1: I don't have an HD TV so there's really no reason for me to geek out about the graphics like a lot of people are. #2: No must play games just yet for me. Mario looks nice with the SMW-inspired map and all the Miiverse extras but it's just not something I HAVE to have right now. I would say I will be getting a Wii U around April-May of next year (tax time).

Nintendo u managed to impress me yet again...(no pun intended) i want that deluxe set mainly because of the color and Nintendo land being bundled with it..i wonder if they'll make basic set be able to have a black color.
