They will probably have Nintendo Land DLC or Nintendo Land 2 where you can scan your amiibo into the actual game.

This is going to sell extremly well the first week it's out but I feel like most of those sales are only going to be from people who own a Wii U. There will be a small spike in Wii U sales but then I think it will return to normal.

I'm with everyone else saying that the game is clearly unfinished. However, they NEED at least one Summer game for the Wii U so they clearly could not have delayed this any longer. One ranked battle mode to start off with? Really Nintendo? This game looks incredible and has SO much potential but Nintendo is shooting themselves in the foot yet again.

Yes, these are free updates. But that's really nothing to be happy about since they should have been included day 1. Turf Wars and Splat Zones are only going to be exciting for so long...

@ChuJelly Funny, my timehop this morning was a status I posted 5 years ago about taking the APUSH exam. Study hard and good luck! It really does pay off when you get to college to get some of those credits out of the way.

Once again Nintendo trying to stay modern with online gaming but not doing a great job. Most betas/demos for online games usually let you play online a whole weekend (or at least a whole 24 hours). At least they are giving us something, I guess.

As for the ranked battles, I know that rainmaker won't be available until later. But is the only one available at launch splat zones? Or is that tower one also going to be available at launch? Even if it's just those two I feel like it will get boring just playing them over and over.

@IceClimbers It sells well but do many adults/kids recognize it? That's the big question. I think they are only going to do their super huge franchises that even 30-60 year old adults who aren't into gaming will still notice and smile.

1) Yes it does lend itself perfectly to an attraction. But most people that go to Universal will not have played F-Zero or even know what the hell it is.

LOL at everyone thinking that there are going to be F-Zero, Waluigi, and Animal Crossing rides. They are going to add their really popular names that everyone will recognize like Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong.

Does anybody know what the N64 shader mode is? Does that make the game look like an N64 game? If so that is sweet! I agree the 1.2 million pound goal is kind of lame, but the 1.1 million goal for the N64 shader and DK style rap is incredible!

I love the Yooka-Laylee/Banjo-Kazooie sitting down playing their instrument crossover. I have never contributed to a Kickstarter before and I am so excited to help fund these guys!

@abbyhitter A lot of non-gamers have seen this because it was a huge video on YouTube. Not to mention, this guy had a web redemption on Tosh.0 on Comedy Central a few years back.

So we saw everything we already know about? No release date (not even a closer window)? And no footage from the Western version? ... Nintendo what the hell are you doing? What was the point of this "direct"? You have been showing off this game since January of 2013... Stop showing us the same thing over and over again and just release it already!

@crzysortagamer Please don't let that turn you away from the game. Like I said, even the first hour of the game was incredible and I am about 5 hours in and I think everything about the story, gameplay, universe is great. While the character models are horrendous and are a little distracting sometimes, I still think it's worth the play through.

First off, I am very excited for this game and it looks amazing! I cannot wait for it come out!

However! I don't think it's going to really sell hardware. There will be a slight increase the week it comes out but that's probably it. And I can see the software sales being huge the week of release but then sharply drop after that. Nintendo has no idea how to market their products nowadays. They think that the whole world watches Nintendo Directs when in reality only the die hard fans do. Get a bigger advertising budget, Nintendo.

I am absolutely loving the game so far! The only disappointment is those character models. I guess I am just too spoiled w/ PC/PS4 graphics nowadays.

I love Game of Thrones/ASOIAF & Zelda and I thought this was incredible!

I think there is a big possibility that both Shovel Knight and the Inkling will appear in the game.

Nintendo really just needs a new Direct to show off upcoming spring/summer games. Ninty has been pretty quiet for awhile.

@XCWarrior I agree with you. All of the events are for ORAS which kind of makes sense because it's the latest game, but it's a remake... Would love to get this on X/Y.

Looks super generic and those graphics are from the 90s/early 2000s, too. Ouch!

I understand the idea of a limited edition. However, I feel like there should be enough stock for those that want it at release. That way it's limited to the die-hard fans that wanted it week one and if you miss it then you're out of luck (but at least you had a chance!) That's how it should work, imo!

Lmao, Nintendo fans hate when other gamers call Nintendo "kiddie" but Nintendo still doesn't add voice chat into games that are based around communication. I love Nintendo but their censorship is so outdated. Get with the times already. You should have online voice chat for this game w/ the ability to turn it off if you don't want to hear people. And there should be an option for parental controls to turn it off. But at least give the OPTION to have voice chat for the majority of people that want it.

I bought Citizens of Earth on the 3DS on Tuesday and I am really enjoying it! The humor is great and I enjoy the combat so far.

@Nintendo69 I am in love with Nintendo and I appreciate many Nintendo and non-Nintendo games. Though, I was also a business student and I'm an accountant. While I am happy that their sales have increased a little bit, it's still pretty sad to see the low sales figures. You don't have to be a fanboy to point out that going from supper awful sales to just awful sales isn't that great.

It's like that episode of Arrested Development when the company stock goes from "sell" to "don't buy." Sure it's an improvement! But it's still not that great.

When I always have my phone, tablet, and macbook close by there is no reason for me to get out of what I'm doing and use the browser.

@gojiguy I love how Nintendo recently stated that they are going to cut back on their advertising... When you are right. There is virtually no advertising being done to the mass media. I love Nintendo but some of their business decisions are downright horrible.

@Gorlokk The Xbox One bundle was only $330 this weekend and the PS4 bundle was $400. Some people don't really have a preference of which console they get since they are both powerful and play pretty much the same games give or take a few exclusives. So clearly the Xbox One will sell more.

I'd say a C- is a fair score. Nintendo really needs to do something about their marketing still. They need to convince parents why they should buy their kids a Wii U. Most families I know have a Wii and tablet/phone games.

@ikki5 Mario is just as recognizable to kids as Pikachu is. And the parade is not just for kids. I know so many adults (w/o children) that still watch it.

@rjejr When I was a kid my parents took me since we used to live about an hour away, as well. As far as I can remember it was a blast! New Years Eve ball drop on the other hand... Not so much!

@ikki5 Pikachu is always in the parade (even if a new Pokemon game is not being released around the same time) and Mario is never in the parade (even if a Mario game is being released around that time.)

This game is one of my favorite platformers. I really wish they would make another Donkey Kong like this.

Pretty cool. However, the Blake Robinson Orchestra did a fantastic job with last year's release.

This is literally my favorite video game of all time. I even bought a 360 before the next Banjo came out just so I knew I could play it when it did. Boy was Nuts and Bolts a disappointment. I know not to fall for that trick again.

Summertime sales are always low because not too many games come out around this time. The 3 biggest times of the year are Holiday Season, February/March, and late Spring.

There is way too much hate on this thread. The only last-gen console I owned was a Wii and this generation I have a Wii U AND a PS4. I have to say that I like some of these remastered games because I never got the chance to play them on an older console. Clearly Sony has done their research and they know that these games will sell. So well done, Sony.
