Where the hell is Super Mario Bros 3? They said it was coming soon a few months back and haven't heard anything since. I don't get it.

The people who say "online co-op shouldn't be included because playing with people in the room is better" literally have no idea what they are talking about. Yes, it is a lot better playing with someone right next to you. Which is why I think local co-op should always be included. HOWEVER, it's not that hard to include online co-op, as well. This is 2013! You should have the option to play a multiplayer game online with friends if you want! Add voice chat and maybe even the Wii U video camera function then you can still talk, collaborate, and see their expressions. It's not like you will be FORCED to play it online only. So I don't get why people are praising Miyamoto for not adding additional features that won't affect them in any way if they want to play locally. Sony and Microsoft got online gaming down in the mid 2000s and Nintendo is way behind. Miyamoto is giving weak excuses and the fans are sadly buying them. I love Nintendo, but they really need to get with the times.

@Mahe I actually enjoy the GamePad. It's nowhere near as innovative as the Wiimote but I really like the map and item selection on a separate screen. It speeds things up so you aren't constantly pausing the game and it leaves more space to see the important stuff on the TV.

Just wait until Zelda U, Smash Bros, and Mario Kart is out!

How was he surprised that people compared the game to the Legend of Zelda? I thought in a prior interview he said that he pitched the idea to Nintendo to add these elements in a Zelda game. And that Nintendo said they only work internally but he was more than welcome to release the game on the eShop.

I sort of agree with what he's saying. But not enough to make a big deal out of it. It's a game. The one that I have always had the biggest problem with is Zelda essentially being worthless in the franchise. In Wind Waker she plays a baddonkey pirate that distracts Ganon to help Link escape. And then when she turns into a princess, the King is like "Oh you stay here. Let the boys do the work." Excuse me? If she wasn't there to distract Ganon then Link would be dead.

I would much rather see the original Luigi's Mansion in the Virtual Console. That would be a great way to end the Year of Luigi. They haven't spoken about him in the past few directs... It seems like the first half of the year was really the "Half-year of Luigi."

2014 is shaping out to be a great year for Wii U. Super Smash Bros, Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, X, and a ton of great indie games confirmed. Let's just hope they can surprise us with a couple more first party games and good 3rd party support.

Dubstep is amazing and this sounds really good. Many people that think dubstep doesn't sound good aren't listening to the right stuff. There's a lot of generic dubstep out there that's really crappy. But artists like Excision, Bassnectar, Flux Pavilion, and Datsik are phenomenal.

I'm all okay with pushing a game back to make it better... But don't set a release date for it until you know for sure it's going to be ready. I think a lot of times Nintendo says it's to "develop a game further" but I'm starting to think it's really to push games into a time where it looks like there will be a video game drought. Just don't announce a release date then!

The last picture is probably my favorite so far! Everything about it screams EPIC!

I really love the art style, the music, and what has been shown of the gameplay mechanics. I want a release date, though! I am so impatient! There are so many good indie games coming out soon!

There are sooo many good indie games coming out for Wii U! Project Cider, hopefully A Hat in Time, Mighty No. 9, Monochroma, Nihilumbra, Shovel Knight, Cryamore, Ittle Dew, Rusty Pup, and Teslagrad!

@ZeroxGT I never said that it's not going to sell well. It's going to sell millions and it's probably going to be the best selling 3DS game. I am very excited for it and I know millions of people are as well. But there's no way it can outsell GTA5. Especially since GTA5 is out on PS3, Xbox 360, and soon PC. It made $800 million within the first 24 hours of release. There's no way Pokemon can beat that.

@chaos_ The game is going to sell really well... But I highly doubt it's going to do better than GTA5.

Wow, seems like a Pokemon I will most definitely add to my team! Not too impressed with the starters (besides Charmander, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle of course) but at least the other Pokemon are looking good.

I saw this on TV last night and was really excited! It's been a long time since I've seen a Nintendo commercial on TV. It's actually been since last November when Wii U first came out.

Looks so good! Reminds me of a mix between Assassin's Creed and GTA. I hope the Wii U sales for this game are good so other 3rd party developers bring realistic games like this.

At first I was upset when they announced that there would be a fee. But if it's only $5 a year then I will pay for it.

I got so happy when I saw this! Adding nostalgic elements to a video game is a great way to create hype! This is why I love Nintendo so much!

Wind Waker, 3D World, and Watch Dogs are in my top 3 this fall! I am also really excited that Wii Party U is coming with Wiimote+ and is only $50! That is such a great value. But it also makes me wonder if it's truly that good of a game if they have to bundle a Wiimote with it.

He is right that the lack of good games is the biggest problem. However, the name is also a big problem, too. I have 0 friends that own a Wii U. Every single one of them asked how the "new controller" for the Wii was when they saw it on my coffee table. I told them the Wii U is a new sytem and they still seemed confused.

Nintendo needs to create amazing ads for the Holiday system that addresses this issue and play them on major television networks.

@Kodeen All of the news articles are showing this. However, the Gamestop website shows $60. And I went into Gamestop to switch my pre-order to this special copy and they said its retailing $60. There must be miscommunication somewhere.

The price cut is a good thing and I can see why people want an ambassadors program but really the price cut is already helping us Wii U owners out. If this leads to an increase in Wii U hardware sales then more 3rd party developers will hop on board with the Wii U. So the price cut really does help every body.

However, I am salty about the special Wind Waker bundle. I collect Zelda items but I can't afford this. At least they added the Ganondorf figure to the physical release.

I am also shocked that Nintendo didn't do this via a Nintendo Direct... If they want people to watch them then they need to put this sort of news in them. Not like the one from a few weeks ago that didn't really say anything. So backwards.

@rjejr I agree. I'm really not too salty about them going multiplatform (although pushing it back at the last second was unfortunate) and it still looks like an amazing game. However, I don't see Rayman as a risky franchise. That's like saying Mario Kart is risky. And releasing multiplatform after stating that you will develop it for Wii U only is not risky, it's safe.

@Ren I agree. The documentary was boring and doesn't really advertise anything... If you're not a die hard Nintendo fan you will not sit down and watch that video. They really need to step it up with their advertising. They have so much money but don't seem to be spending it wisely.

I love the Pikmin and Wonderful 101 designs however I'm not a fan of the Zelda one (coming from a huge Wind Waker fan).

If they sell the GamePad through select retailers I would definitely buy one. But I'm not going to fork over $350 when I already own a Wii U. My Zelda 3DS will do just fine

@rjejr Yeah it's sad they still don't have dates for November or December games. But there is literally no excuse that there isn't a date for Wind Waker. Watch Dogs comes out in November and Ubisoft gave it a date months ago.

Nintendo of Europe's advertising seems really great. Whereas Nintendo of America really needs to work on it. I am always seeing trailers for video games on Comedy Central, FX, and Spike but 0 of them are Nintendo. Maybe if they would actually advertise then their product would sell. Marketing 101.

And please give us a release date for Wind Waker already. October is less than 2 months away!

@suburban_sensei You have to hit the "Home" button then click on miiverse. Then when you go to post in the top right will be an "add picture" button and you select either whats on the gamepad screen or television screen.

@rjejr I agree with you. I love Nintendo and their games so much. But if they don't get their marketing right then it's really going to screw them over (like it already has been). The marketing for Wii U has been a disaster and that's part of the reason why it's not doing so well.

Side note, when I pre-ordered Pokemon X at GaemStop last week I received a poster for the game there and then!

I always see these sales articles for Japan and Europe but is there a site that reports North America sales easily like this?
