Re: Miitomo Passed One Million Downloads in Just Three Days

I've been playing with it for a few days now and even manage to get a couple friends in on it. So far it's been fun. I like being able to buy new outfits and take pictures using miifoto. I understand they plan to evolve it it and all, so I hope they eventually let you decorate your room too. My current room is kinda boring. I'm looking forward to its official release in the US so I can actually link my Nintendo account and get a little more in depth.

Re: Poll: Are You Ready to Download More of Your Retail Games From the eShop?

twistedbee

I've been very hesitant to buy Alot of digital on WiiU, mainly because of the lack of easy accessibility on multiple systems and the lack of console based storage (I know I can attach an external, that's not the point) so as long as Im able to use things easily between multiple systems, like Xbox and Playstation allows, then I'll stick with physical as much as possible.

The story is different for 3DS though. About 90% of all my games in 3ds are digital. Mostly for the sake of convenience. The only games I buy physical for it are single player, play-once-and-done games. Anything Multiplayer is always digital because you never know when you'll need that game and having it on the system makes that easy. Again, I wish they'd fix it so I can have multiple systems tied to my account... But I'll take what I can get.

If their big push for digital is gonna happen, then they need better access to purchase and plenty of storage space on hand. 500gb consoles won't handle many full size retail games these days...

Re: Nintendo Badge Arcade Updated, More Free Plays For Everyone

twistedbee

i got a eshop card for christmas so ill admit that ive spent some money on this. but i love being able to customize my system so i dont regret it. Im hoping for more of the pixel collection to drop soon. I'd love to drop Consoles badges on folders to help seperate all my games. I need a 3DS, NES, Game Boy Advance, Game Gear And Genesis icons to make a complete set for Organization purposes.

Though I'd have to figure out what to use for the eShop games...

Re: Video: Check out this footage of the SNES Super Disc Boot Software

It'll be interesting to see what comes out of it all in the future. I'm sure at some point someone will create a working Bootable rom and individuals will start making homemade games, or even rehashing old snes games using cd data (chrono trigger comes to mind) from games released on other systems. Maybe at some point there will even be a Bootable working game disc...

Re: Poll: The Tricky Issue of Retail Games as Download-Only Releases

twistedbee

My policy for 3ds games have been to buy Multiplayer games digitally and single player games physically. Most the time when you run into someone who wants to play a 3ds game you both need the game. I don't like carrying around a bunch of carts so anything I think I may play Multiplayer (Mario Kart, animal crossing, Pokémon, etc.) I buy digital. Single player games like Mario 3d Land, legend of Zelda and others I buy physical because once you're done with the game you most likely won't play it again.

Re: Analyst Thinks Nintendo Is Already Winding Down Wii U Ahead Of Nintendo NX Launch

First of all, Zelda is simply just delayed. Stop reading into something that doesn't exist. Would you rather it be pushed and rushed and end up being glitchy just like several other AAA releases in recent years. Just because the next console is announced, that doesn't mean it it's coming out this year, next year or even the year after. It doesn't even mean that it will end up being WiiU's replacement. If anything the 3ds is the next to be phased out. There are many great games available now and still coming for WiiU and the indie developer scene continues to grow on a platform that once made it near impossible for a startup to make money on their own games. Nintendo is not Sony and they are not Microsoft. They have and will always continue to do things their own way. Stop worrying about what's coming and just enjoy the games. I feel too many people try to force politics into the gaming industry and forget that games are about having fun.
