It's a lot more than what I was expecting, to be sure. I kind of soured on Pokemon Go once I realized that Pokemon don't really spawn based on your environment, with the exception of water Pokemon only appearing in areas near water.
Like I went to one of the volcanos in Hawaii in 2016 while anticipating a bunch of fire Pokemon, but I only saw the same Pokemon that already spawn in my own neighborhood at home in Oregon. That's not really all that exciting, but maybe I'll give it another shot once this game comes out.
That's a hard pass. I won't double dip on Overwatch until Blizzard makes skins account-wide instead of just making you start over if you switch platforms.
Amazon is really dragging their feet with opening preorders for this, we're less than a month away from release at this point and they still haven't thrown a page up for the game.
I really enjoyed it on 360, though the story of the development is more interesting than the game itself. I always wanted to see a sequel, but I don't mind paying for a Switch version even though I've already double dipped on it during a Steam sale.
I don't think Pokemon should be exclusive to certain locations, but it just makes sense to have them be more common in those types of areas. Imagine my disappointment last summer when I took out my phone near a volcano in Hawaii and only saw the same boring, common Pokemon everywhere.
Spawning them in locations that are safe/make sense would only help make the game more exciting.
My wish would be having the ability to travel to all of the existing regions to revisit them and such, but I'm definitely excited for this game either way.
@speedracer216 When I lived in Florida I stomped on a huge spider in my garage, and after I lifted my foot up a bunch of smaller spiders spread out in every direction. I still get chills.
I used it this morning during my commute (note: I do not drive to work), and it seemed basic enough. I don't mind not being able to capture stuff, but PokeStops did seem clunky and didn't seem to work too well, and for some reason it wouldn't dismiss some of the old notifications that I ignored (like Pidgey and Spearow sightings).
I'll give it a pass since the app is barely even a day old, though hopefully it gets the support it needs from Niantic.
Nah, I mean there are only so many questions you can answer and so many outfits to get before there's just no reason to keep playing. Having special events really improves the longevity of an app, and with Miitomo I just don't see a way they could do that other than the boring Miitomo Drop game.
@Untempered-Link It's not a complaint about not affording it, just pointing out the fact that the technology already exists for wearables on both platforms and that it would've been cool to see.
@Damo I felt the same way. It would've at least made more sense to release a WatchOS/Android Wear app alongside the Go Plus for people who can't afford a wearable.
It's a shame, but I don't think the games themselves ever really found a good footing, and I'm bummed that we'll never seen Darkwing Duck or Gravity Falls truly represented.
At least there's a bunch of great looking figures like Baymax that will continue looking great as paper weights, along with whatever other user-generated content is created before they completely disconnect everything.
I got mine, it was a nice gesture. However it did have trouble for a minute when I tried looking for the area to redeem the code, and didn't notice the tiny hamburger menu in the top left corner of the screen.
Already got mine pre-ordered. I'm still using a launch day 3DS, so I was eager to upgrade to a New 3DS specifically so I could use a cover plate instead of having to try looking for some type of ridiculous decal for a New 3DS XL that I wouldn't really want.
It's been so long, I'm completely ready for a new one. I just hope they have some type of tribute to Iwata in it, since I don't want to see them completely avoid the elephant in the room.
I've always found the yearly model a bit ridiculous, which I think is already a turn-off for most people since it's so blatant. I will say that 3.0 seems like an improvement over the lackluster 2.0, but I just don't see this current model working out well for them in the long run.
Honestly, the only time I ever used it was during Breaking Bad, which was highly entertaining. It's a shame it didn't take off, because there were some good ideas there.
@Kaeobais I use it all the time, since it's the only universal remote that has ever worked with my TV.
I don't care so much about the faceplates, but they are a nice alternative if you don't like the standard console colors. With the current situation I have the choice between red, black, or nothing, and I'm choosing nothing. I wouldn't mind getting a regular New 3DS instead of an XL if it meant being able to at least customize the appearance.
Faceplates would've been a great alternative to those lackluster color choices that they decided to launch with. I'm also not a MH fan and I didn't bother trying to get the Majora's Mask edition because I hate gold, so those two had to be written off as well.
I definitely feel like they dropped the ball. What kind of message do they think they're sending out when people are in an uproar about certain figures allegedly being discontinued, and there's no clear response to it? The vague "some figures may not return" bit is such a non-answer.
I don't know if I really believe this. I know they mentioned that some might be discontinued, but I don't see why they would discontinue them after only two or three weeks.

This is not the first time they've over sold pre-orders, and it won't be the last.
I really hate to break it to you, but every time this game gets mentioned on /v/ there's always someone saying it's cancelled, sometimes with faux-insider statements. There aren't enough grains of salt that you can take this with.

Re: Meet The Pokéball Plus, A New Tool For Aspiring Trainers With Pokémon GO Or A Switch
This is just begging for variants. I'd love a Great Ball, or one of the special Pokeballs from Gold/Silver.
Re: Exploring Ubisoft's Unreleased Wii U Game, Know Your Friends
This definitely would have been a hit at my work, since we have game consoles and frequently play games like the Jackbox series. Such a shame.
