Merchandise retailer Merchoid has revealed its new range of official Nintendo beanie hats, due for launch this November.
The series includes Yoshi, Goomba, Red Mushroom, Green Mushroom, Question Mark Block, Donkey Kong, Bullet Bill, Boo, Princess Peach, Fire Flower, Monty Mole (of Mario World / Kart fame), Shy Guy, Piranha Plant and Chomp. Each costs £14.99 / €19,99 / $19.99. You can pre-order them here.
Here's what Merchoid's Community Manager Jessica Adams had to say about the announcement:
They're fun, casual cosplay hats designed to look cool and keep you warm. Everyone loves Mario, Luigi and Link, but we want to show some love for the less celebrated Nintendo characters like Chomp, Monty Mole and Shy Guy.
Will you be buying one of these to keep your head toasty during the winter months?

I don't think I'd wear any of those. Kids would like them though. Seem a bit pricey too. The Goomba, Donkey Kong and Bullet Bill hats are the best looking.
DK n Boo for me if was a kid I may get one just for a collection item but you know some Nintendo fans will collect the lot .
Ah yes, Question mark block is my favourite mario character
I'm digging the Goomba hat, but I think I'll pass. I'm not really a hat person, despite the fact that I always have my Mii wear one.
I don't care what anyone says: that Boo Ghost hat looks amazing. They do look a bit more like beanies than hats, though. For kids. I think they are all pretty nice looking, except for the Bullet Bill one. Something about the arm...
The Goomba and Bullet Bill hats are well done but I would never actually wear one of these.

WHERE'S KOOPA TROOPA AND DRY BONES? Forget that, where are the Zelda characters? They clearly mentioned Link. Nintendo beanies for kids line 2?
That site has plenty of merch I could be tempted by, but the combination of 'too geeky', and the prices, always stops me. I have to wonder how much of it gets sold, cos here we are on a pretty hardcore Nintendo fan site, and I don't see many listing what they've bought etc.
The only bit of merch on that site that I've bought (from elsewhere) is the one t-shirt that's a little more subtle with it's geekness (IMO) than all the others.
Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa, don't you mean Monty Mole of Super Mario World fame? Give the little (and big) dude his due!
@LandOfZeldtir Fixed!
Nintendo goes Fashion. I´m ok with that.
Those things seem rather expensive.
I think just putting a sign on your back saying 'kick me' would be a cheaper alternative that would provide the same result
Isn't Monty Mole also of SMB3 fame?
Yikes, the Shy Guy one looks a lot like a KKK hood, if you ask me...
Gooomba
What a bunch of wimps! I would proudly wear one if these and I'm over 40. What's wrong with you guys? You say you're Nintendo fans but then you hide that fact....😜
@thesilverbrick Lol, just don't pull it over your face.
@3MonthBeef Ah, most likely! The Ice Land king was turned into a Monty Mole in SMB Advance 4 and All Stars version of SMB3 though.
@Spoony_Tech I wouldn't pay 15 pounds to keep myself warm. Love Mario but Mario doesn't pay my mortgage
If the shipping is reasonable I may pick a few of these up. I love unique ways to spice up winter clothing. Nothing worse than walking around in a drab overcoat.
What the heck is going on with that shy guy one though? XD
But nothing outside the Mario universe though :/
Looking at that Chain Chomp, I wonder why they didn't make a Bob-omb?
@Ikramali I didn't say I was getting one eitherbut if I had the right one say Boo or Goomba I would proudly wear it.
@Spoony_Tech I would too but would you agree the price is a massive turn off. If it was cheaper I would wear it with pride
@Ikramali Well if the quality is there I would pay that but I wouldn't blindly buy anything over the internet. I would like to feel what I'm buying even if I then buy it online. For instance I know what a game feels like so I have no problem buying that online. Clothing not so much.
@thesilverbrick That was the same thought I had when it first came up. Glad they didn't go with that design for the Boo hat...
Although it was kind of a missed opportunity design wise to not make that one a ski mask. I can see a Shy Guy Gang start a string a bank robberies across the country.
My boys will definitely getting at least one each if those come to Finland ever. I'll be happy with my custom Pokemon Trainer woolly hat made by my sister
I'd rock the Bullet Bill one for sure.
Also, I must applaud you @Damo for use of the word bonce. It's very under-utilised.
If I were 15 years younger I'd jump at these. But as a 20-something year old, I get the feeling that I'd feel like a bit of a tool walking around in one of them.
But now that I'm looking at the site, those Zelda Christmas sweaters would be kind of nice just to wear around the house in the winter.
I thought the headline said;
'Merchoid’s Official Nintendo Beanies Will Keep Your Boner Warm This November'
the first time I read it. 😄
No metroids? Missed opportunity.
Why is that red Pikmin wearing a Guy Fawkes mask?
Love the Boo hat 😍 I'd never wear it but it's still adorable!
Ya'll aren't any fun. They look fantastic!
they all look amazing but the DK hat has my name all over it
@Churchy Proud to be British.
lol "pricey" ? you really think 20$ is expensive?
everyone on here thinks everything should be free
get a job
