Re: Poll: Nintendo Has Laid Out Its Legend of Zelda E3 Plans - Are They Enough?

@Nintendo_Ninja
It's almost impossible to have an E3 worse than last year. I've retained a foul taste in my mouth ever since. I honestly quit gaming because of it and haven't started back yet. I now go to meetings every week and share stories about how gaming almost ruined my life and people clap for me and tell me that they know what I'm going through and everything will be OK.
But the ones saying it's OK, well, those are the ones that are gaming on different hardware that seem have a plethora of games their fans actually ask for. I'm glad because I knew I could never quit unless I really had a good reason and that reason finally came along. I've been clean for a year and I it looks like I'll stay that way until NX comes out so I can purchase Zelda U to play on a console I purchased on launch day primarily for Zelda U. We'll see how E3 goes but I'm certain it will suck.

So many rumours are coming from everywhere. It might be best that Nintendo reveal this early and impress people before they make up their minds and hate it before they see it. I should be realistic and accept that Nintendo does not make decisions based on the customers or public interest. They think they can hide this but I believe we'll see it and judge it before they will. Electronics and social media have evolved too much for Old Nintendo to keep this concealed. You won't have to wait until E3 because you know deep down someone is going to get a snap shot and it will spread everywhere. There's just so much smoke there has to be fire in some of these rumours. Nintendo should just go ahead and show us. TV SPOILER!!! Don't make the same mistake as the Walking Dead. We will know who Negan killed before next season. They were foolish not to show who it was because they can't hide it. They pissed off tons of fans by them not knowing but they will ultimately and definitely have their thunder stolen by a leak. Electronics and social media will prevent any drawn out secret more often than not. Show us something now and save the best stuff for E3.

Re: Research Firm Reckons Nintendo's Spent Nearly $527 Million on Research and Development This Fiscal Year

I agree sadly but it's true. My son plays his Xbox 360 all the time because he can speak to his friends and play at the same time. Meanwhile the Wii Uand 3ds collect dust. Sony will be the winner in the end for him and all of his friends because the topic they bring up daily is they can't wait to get Ps4's. I promote Nintendo to him daily and try to hype him on the NX and Zelda but that ship has sailed. Him and his army of friends are pumped about Ps4.

Some of the best research you can do is ask your fans what they want. It's been a while since I have taken a survey because I haven't had an opportunity to express what I want or how I feel about what Nintendo has done or will be doing. They send me emails and notifcations about products and software they would like me to purchase but they never ask me what I want.Your customers are everything. My current employer Is consistently one of the top Fortune 100 companies every year and the #1 priority is the voice of the customer and our enormous amount of success is because we make their opinions count and we are here for them. We shape our business for them and we destroy our competition. Spend some money on asking, might not hurt.

Re: Talking Point: The Popularity of Nintendo Selects, Updates and DLC Expansions Can Change How We Buy Games

remlapgamer

$80 and a ton of content justifies itself. Especially if a $40 game is plenty in stand alone. I'm glad Nintendo introduced Nintendo Selects and I think they did well with Wii U games but the Wii games are long overdue. That'll really push software sales as long as people know about it. I'm personally holding out on all Nintendo purchases until My Nintendo is active.

Was it necessary to end Club Nintendo to only take almost a year to replace it?. Just curious. I'm glad they've brought "My Nintendo", but it seems like wii u digital deluxe promotion again but not as good. when the competition has "Games with Gold" and "Ps Plus", I expected something better. I'm just not excited. I'm willing to pay an annual subscription for amazing features.

It's pretty embarrassing when retailers and amazon store sellers can beat the price of the Big N and do so with physical versus digital. I guess the way Nintendo looks at it is they still profit from the retail sale but some consumers are too lazy to shop around, order, or even the drive to the store. The only justice I see is if someone prefers digital, or can't get the physical copy due to availability, or they don't have access to transportation to get a physical copy. There is also the idea that Nintendo does not want to sell at a lower price than retailers because they need someone to sell physical copies and to fill that role and under cutting the retailers that sell your property might influence them not to. There's also the security of Nintendo Network ID storing your purchase of the title and can download games again even if you replace your system, and who knows you may be able to download games on future systems although I doubt that. I'm still aggravated about the pricing. Oh well. I'm sticking to physical, feels more safe? Don't know why but it does.

I'm glad I'm purchasing Splatoon this Friday for my son. I'm convinced by everyone else this game must be good. We both haven't been convinced in the past watching the gameplay, but I gotta admit the ONE thing Nintendo has truly impressed me is tje repetitive FREE additional content and that keeps this game fresh and everyone is still talking about it. When your customers are talking good, your doing something right and this game is talked about on this website almost every day and came out 6 months ago. I'm sold.

Re: Video: Nintendo Makes a Holiday Pitch for Wii U 'Magical Nights'

I still remember the sega genesis advertising before Christmas of 1991anf it consisted of showing around 20 games and they were really quick clips in a 25-30 second commercial. I still remember seeing many games that appealed to me and that commercial convinced me to buy the console. I am always for showing more games versus longer clips if trying to sell consoles, but I'll say this commercial is pretty good at trying to do both. I really like the pirahna plant shooting fire.

Re: Editorial: It's Far Too Soon to Go Download-Only, and Physical Retail Still Matters

remlapgamer

If they would mail the special edition physical items for people who decide to download versus physical retail, then I wouldn't mind downloading more. I bought a 1TB hard drive about a year ago and I still buy physical at times because I want what comes with the game. It's also convenient to have a game to trade if it sucks. They would also convince me download more if they discounted the download price being as you are missing special items that come with game and are unable to trade. Not to mention the lack of a replacement rewards system. I have temporarily stopped all Nintendo purchasing until they have a new rewards system. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh. Bout time the Lord giveths-Right? But death of the disc is bad. I believe there should still be the option.

Re: Editorial: A Wii U Price Cut is Still Worthwhile Despite Its Ongoing Woes

remlapgamer

Profit is the sore subject and the means of any business. The idea of a loss is usually a bad plan in business but long term planning should be the utmost importance. I know Nintendo is trying to bring in revenue by not cutting the price, but a massive cut before the holidays would shift more units and long term that much more software and many more satisfied customers and will come back in the long term. $190 sounds insane, but would shift tons of units and massive amounts of software, more importantly, the "Brand" will be talked about and have excitement around it again. Massive cut, intial loss, recover in software, and compete again. Profit will still be in the picture. 3.4 million units, you should be ashamed. You're better than that.

Re: Poll: Does Nintendo's Drive Towards Multiplayer Gaming Appeal to You?

remlapgamer

I believe it is an aim at profit mostly with 3ds because probably each player will have to have the game so when someone buys a game, they will influence others to purchase it also so they can play together. Sounds like I'm crazy, but I promise that is written as a main topic/financial accomplishment on a board for everyone to see during the initial design and marketing of the game.

Re: Iwata Vows To Listen To E3 2015 Digital Event Feedback And "Work To Better Meet Your Expectations"

remlapgamer

Nintendo needs to shake their own company tree and cut ties with their old ways and make really good business decisions that involves meeting customer demands and expectations. I truly can't believe a company with the most loyal customers-yes-the MOST loyal customers, wouldn't take the simple, reasonable, and down to earth wishes their amazingly loyal customers offer. They don't need us to respond to a Twitter feed. All the research they need on how to deliver what their fans want is easily found at the bottom of many, many articles about their company on websites just like this one. I read so many comments from so many loyal fans, I could have a 2 minute conversation with anyone from Nintendo and tell them what their fans want. This is one of the only companies I've seen where their customers can't wait to purchase their products
