Its 16 years old so that's probably why. Dub was far from popular back then. Dub is more accepted nowadays. So to them it was most likely just a waste of money.

Already own it on Bluray. But its really cool to see them uploading more Tales on Youtube. (Tales of The Abyss is uploaded too, but on the JP channel w/ English Subs)

Cool to see a good score. But Three House also got good reviews as well and that bored me to death. Very uncertain if I should risk this or not.. Hmm
How long does a playthrough take roughly? Don't see it mentioned (or im blind).

Had low expectations for the Persona 3 port, and yet I am still disappointed by these additions and looks lol.
Still hoping for some sort of Physical release. But knowing (R)atlus, they won't give in. So may just get P3 on release and get 4 later down the line on sale, as I already own 4 on Vita twice and on Steam.

Oh no. Retailer I pre-ordered at cancelled all orders as they wouldn't get any in. Figured i'd just pass as the game was getting no coverage (classic SE). And now the reviews are finally dropping its actually looking really good across the board. Oh well.
But super glad to see it was actually worth the wait after all.

Just curious though, how is the framerate?

Not getting this version myself, as im sticking with my PSP version. But slightly concerning that basically all footage has been anything BUT the Switch version. But see how it goes.

I tried this last week when it was floating around on twitter. But saw zero difference. Still ran like garbage for me.

I honestly don't mind these glitches as they don't really break the game, they are just funny. But of course they do need to be fixed. The games shouldn't even have been like this to begin with. Would had preferred if they had delayed the games.

Good review to read, and very much appreciate the honesty regarding performance issues. Seen others who don't even bother with it. Was the same with the preview a few weeks ago.

After lots of thinking I went with Violet (also cause steelbook just came back in stock) purely cause I prefer the exclusive mons of it (seen zero leaks and prefer it that way) and the bike doesn't look weird with it legs. Still wanna get Scarlet down the road if the game turns out to be good but that's purely for Prof. Sada.

Honestly can't make up my mind. Part of me want it cause Pokemon. But the gameplay i've seen makes the FPS look god awful, even by Switch standards. And really don't feel like support lazy work.

I was actually surprised to see Xenoblade 3 nominated as GOTY. Unfortunately don't see it having a chance to win as its going up against Elden Ring, God of War and Horizon. But just seeing it nominated is incredible.

Also love how Family is all Nintendo games, but 1.

Already got my copy. And just like with NieR, I was very surprised how well it looks and run. Generally have low expectations when it comes to Sega/Atlus, but they have done extremely well with this version.

Here's hoping P3 and 4 ports gets just as much love and care.

Yeah, it definitely sucks. But nah, not boycutting it. If we were to boycut over stuff like this, we may as well just stop buying anything ever.

Also breaking NDA? She can be even further down $4000 then if PG decides to do anything.

Play the VN. Skip the anime. Anime is a mess, and not worth even bothering with.

I have to highly disagree with the "A really solid localisation effort". There are so much that are mistranslated and lost its meaning. And content that just isn't translated. I totally get if you don't know Japanese in any way, you probably wouldn't know this, but feel like I need to highlight for others, so they are aware.

Been playing it myself over the last week on Switch, and I was honestly surprised how extremely well SE has done with the port. When it was announced I thought to myself: Nah, this isn't gonna end well. But I was so very very wrong. Fantastic to see more people being able to enjoy this now!

While NMS isn't for me (tried on PS4, PSVR and PS5), im glad to see it looks like a decent version on Switch. I'm actually surprised how well some high-end games can run on Switch when the effort is put into it.

Is Hello Games doing the Switch port themselves?

Kept thinking eh, this may be stretching it. But after really looking at the gear, yeah. This does definitely look like some references which is really nice to see.

I never expected to see a new Theatrythm. And this is... A whole lot of songs.

What surprise me the most is the Online Play. That is actually crazy they are bringing that back. Very excited to replay this.

Really do hope SE keeps it up with these 3D/2-D games. They always look amazing, and all have been great imo.

I actually just saw this on Steam. Game looks really good, and like a great fit for the Switch. Definitely something im keeping my eyes on!

That's actually not a bad line-up of games. Some hidden gems, and some honestly unexpected titles to see, like Ecco The Dolphin. Probably won't pick it up though. No space for another console. Lol

Good review! Bought it on release and loved every minute of it. Minus the performance issues (frame drops, stutter etc). Just a shame its not very long or very hard. Even on hardest difficulty it felt like playing on easy. But it has so much charm, and one heck of a soundtrack!

Yep. Am picking this up. More Shin-Chan is always good, and it looks great! Just a shame no physical release in the west.

I am almost certain it was originally announced as a TRPG game, but nothing about it being a VN at all.
Think that was only announced later on, after the development hell the game went through.

I am currently taking a break from XC3 to play Digimon and the further I get the more I am loving it. Honestly think going the VN route has been a really smart route, even if definitely did turn people off it, which is a shame.

Only a few hours in myself, (Xenoblade 3 taking all my time), but definitely agree with the beginning. It is sloooow. Also not a fan of the whole investigate thing. Feels a bit unnecessary most of the time. And the typos, and general weird phrases being used.

Do have to give some major props to whoever did the art-style for the game, cause it is gorgeous. Also very surprised how much of it is actually voiced. Feel like Bandai has actually done a really good job, but sadly seem like they had no faith in the game, so they barely did any promo of it.

Yeah... Can't really argue with this at all. It was alright at first, but 20+ hours in and I just wanna slam my head against a wall. I can literally hear most of the battle dialogue even when not playing.

Yeah.. Was already excited. And not even surprised by the score lol

Wales interactive FMV games are honestly a big hit or miss. But still looking forward to this. Somehow always enjoy FMV games to some extend, good or bad.

Won't be using this feature myself. But its nice to include it. Means more people can play it.

Fall Guys was the first thing coming to my mind watching this. But seem a bit a mix of that and Mario Party mini-games? Only issue, it seem to be a paid game. So..

I am not surprised one bit. Literally just finished Sunbreak myself, and its fantastic just like Rise was. Still wish they would have released a version physical version with DLC included on the cartridge and not a code, but oh well. Its a great combo for newcomers!

Would I grab it for Switch? Absolutely not. The game is 30 FPS on PS4, but feels like its 15FPS, and not even consistent. Can't even imagine how horrible it would be on Switch. Lol

How does a game like this have poor performance on Switch. Its not even a demanding game.. What a disappointment.

If it was just direct uploads of Nintendos own music, fair enough.
But covers and remixes? Cmon Nintendo. Pretty sure we all get they want to protect their IPs and whatnot, but they seriously need to get with the times. Stuff like this isn't even gonna hurt their IPs. In fact, it may do the opposite and get people interested. This is ridiculous.

Not really a fan of Fire Emblem (only tried Three House which I never finished, and the Gacha for a lil while), but still gave the demo of this a shot. It's actually pretty fun. Looks good and runs fine. Tried it handheld, and while it was 30 FPS, it felt like it was pretty consistent which is impressive. Story is definitely a mess if you have no knowledge though, but still found it enjoyable and able to somewhat understand what was going on.

I liked what I saw. But still uncertain if im getting it. Really need to see how the framerate holds up. Legends and Sword/Shield was pretty bad in that aspect, and it ruins it for me if it can't hold a consistent framerate. But i'll see when the time comes.

I honestly don't care which. Just give them all to me. More Falcom stuff on Switch is always welcome.

Not a big fan of how Nintendo literally said "Releasing earlier then expected". Not sure thats the best sign...

But anyway, still super excited. And glad to see its just around the corner!
