Nintendo has today confirmed the existence of a Min Min amiibo as part of the continued Super Smash Bros. line of figures. Sadly, we'll have to wait a while before we can get our hands on it.
In today's Super Smash Bros. Ultimate presentation, which confirmed that Kazuya would be joining the roster from 29th June, series director Masahiro Sakurai gave us our first look at Min Min's amiibo, noting that it'll arrive in 2022.
Naturally, the existence of a Min Min amiibo confirms that the Smash series of figures will continue into the second Fighters Pass DLC pack – all amiibo from the base game and Fighters Pass Vol. 1 have now been released, so we only have the Fighters Pass Vol. 2 characters to go.
If you're wanting to keep track of every amiibo figure released so far – across the Smash series and indeed every series – make sure to bookmark our handy guide.
In other Smash-related news, the latest set of Mii Fighter costumes for Ultimate was also revealed – it includes the likes of Devil May Cry's Dante and Skyrim's Dragonborn.

As an ARMS fan, I've been looking forward to the Min Min amiibo for a long time now!
I wish Nintendo would put more energy into the Amiibo section.
I'll admit it.. I want the Sephiroth amiibo, so Im stoked about this news.
I really need to cut it out with the amiibo collecting, but just a few more, and I'll be able to ease off the gas... I swear...
They keep updating ultimate to the point I doubt we'll get a new smash bros for YEARS.
I'm surprised Steve isn't ready yet
"Confirms"? We knew these were coming one way or the other.
Definitely need to get this, love MinMin, but I really wish they had gone easy on that pure resin or whatever there to hold her ... maybe they should choose more vertical poses instead of such horizontal ones that don't find the amiibo "stand".
This means my main Steve is getting his amiibo revealed with the last character. And I can already tell the scalpers will decide to go crazy on the Steve amiibo.
@chapu2006
Unfortunately, nintendo said that this fighters pass will be the last wave of dlc for ultimate.
However, smash is always a once per console game, so it isn't going away soon.
Nice. Who needs savings anyway right? I'll just eat some cardboard sandwiches later no problem.
Her dragon arm looks a little weird, but that's probably to be expected. I wonder why they showed off only Min Min though. Ah well, looking forward to getting all of the Smash amiibo finally!
And here comes the Scalpers. They need to do better and let that want one get one at MSRP.
Keen to grab her. Gonna be a painful wait for pyra and mythra tho.
Buying all six of the new monster hunter amiibo was bad enough, but to have them announce the skyward sword amiibo, the metroid dread amiibo and now wave two amiibo?! It doesn't help that I love Arms, especially Min Min, and as a huge xenoblade fanatic you can bet that I'll be picking up mythra/pyra. Good times. Good times.
Fighter #76 out of probably 82 (maybe 83) final fighters. But I do think Steve/Alex and Pyra/Mythra will be seperate Amiibo releases.
A freaking Kazuya and Sephiroth amiibo
A STEVE amiibo
Let's go
I haven't bought Amiibo in a couple of years, but I will buy Min-Min. Bring on ARMS 2, Nintendo!!
@Bentendo1609 Pyra/Mythra will almost certainly get their own separate amiibo. Steve (if/when it happens) will more than likely just be a singular amiibo, no real need for Alex to get one.
Still waiting for Robin, Pikachu, & Byleth Player 2 amiibo that will never happen.
Get ready to scalp!
Min-min was one I was waiting for but that big stand, whilst at least themed, is just messy. I'll never understand why they don't just either do a new pose for the amiibo, or take the amiibo into account when creating the in-game pose?
Looking forward to this.
I can't wait for the Pyra Mythra Amiibo! 😃
These are a massive pain to collect but man once you get them it's such a joy.
@DarkTron Why? If it were me, I’d sell a variation/pair for the game that is vastly, vastly more popular.
@SwitchForce just out of curiosity what is your proposed solution for how “they should do better”?
I’d like a solution too.
Looks pretty sharp. The stand doesn’t bother me too much.
That means Steve will get an amiibo too right? It'll be fun to see it!
They had to stop right before steve
@Desrever At this point, you can consider amiibo an unusual purchase. They release so few each year they might as well be viewed as seasonal gifts. Like how I plan to buy every G&W Nintendo releases, knowing full well they’ll stop after two or three.
"Amiibo are coming to an end" they said...
Still making Amiibos but they aren't used the latest game (Mario Golf Duper Rush). Annoying.
@Chowdaire maybe that's why the Fighters Pass 2 Wave will be on 2022. To give spacing between amiibo releases. If they released Smash amiibo around the release of Metroid Dread, I'd completely ignore them in favor of the Dread duo.
On topic: I'm not a Min Min main, but I might her amiibo just to have the amiibo of a Nintendo DLC character that's not a sword user, aside from Banjo-Kazooie (which despite being with Microsoft, I consider them Nintendo characters based on their original copyright).
I've been wanting ARMS amiibo for years now, as both an avid fan of both ARMS and amiibo. I'm so glad we're finally getting at least one.
I do wish, however, they would've found a way to keep her ARMS wider spread. They did a great job with the Simon Belmont amiibo's whip design, but you can very clearly see where they filled in the inside of Min Min's canonically hollow arm in order to keep it stucturally sound. Other than that little gripe, I'm actually glad we haven't gotten an ARMS amiibo until now because holy MOLY the detailing on Min Min looks fan*tas*tic.
If I can't get my hands on one of these I will be very sad.
When did they "confirm" the other fighters would get one?
@Eric258
I hope we get both the characters, either as separate amiibo or on one base, if they only make one of them as a figure i don't think i want any.
@ManaOwls nobody's talking about it because it's not what he said or did I miss something?
He said it would be odd for Nintendo to make a Kazuya amiibo.
@HammerGalladeBro That means that Bandai Namco will make it themselves.
It's going to be weird promoting amiibo for a game that hasn't seen new content in months.
@ManaOwls He said the same thing about Banjo. Just that it's weird the Nintendo is making the amiibo for 1; a character no longer owned by Nintendo and 2; a character not typically associated with the Nintendo brand
Dang I was hoping Min Min would have bendable arms like Guardian!
It looks soooo good!
Aww she looks cute.
@OFFICIALMichi That would have been a good idea.
@Scrubicius Hmph! I wish Nintendo would put more Amiibo, into the Amiibo section.
@Tempestryke yes!
Why need something to notify Nintendo!
Amiibo is currently available for pre order in Amazon.co.jp…
Enjoy
