If you can play as Zelda, then the title Legend of Zelda finally makes sense. I truly believe that Nintendo made a mistake not naming the game Legend of Link, I mean who's the protagonist in the game?
Super Peach World, Peach Galaxy, Super Peach 64, etc. That's Zelda logic applied to Mario games.
"Well they gave me Oculus [Rift], they showed me the game for a short time and I just tried... and spent maybe an hour [playing it], or something like that."
That is pure b***s***, Tetris Effect is a PSVR exclusive.
Very few people remember Ghost Recon: Shadow War from Ubisoft, it's one of the launch title for 3DS. It's actually a good strategy game, but no one's buying it so there's no sequel. I think Ubisoft translated it to Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle later on.
@patbacknitro18 The New Switch will probably be like the New 3DS, BotW 2 will run better on it. To have the most anticipated game optimized for the New Switch will help sell it at launch. Same engine, still runs on old Switch but better on New one.
BotW was meant to be a Wii U game, it was first announced in 2013. They already finished the game but delayed the launch because of Switch.
@patbacknitro18 It may be kept secret because it ties to the New Switch. The new game uses the same art style, so it's the same engine. It's not building everything from scratch, development time won't be as long.
Not so strange I guess, in Travis strikes again you use the toilet to save the game, similar to the church in DragonQuest games. I think in Japan the loo is a sacred place.
@BornInNorway81
You can watch Nintendo at GDC 2017, they already finished the Wii U version and was told to port the game to Switch while waiting for it to launch. The port was surprising easy so they improved a lot on the game during those 2 years, if it launched as a Wii U title, it will be very basic.
@sartorious23
Luigi Mansion 3 will be released in October, before Halloween. (As always)
It's a theory, just an observation and presumption. Just what real scientist do for a living.
To add to the theory, I think Nintendo will launch the New Switch before Xmas. It will have a BotW 2 bundle, just like the original Switch as a launch title. We'll see.
For reference:
Jun - Mario Maker 2
Jul - Fire Emblem 3 houses
Aug - Astral Chain
Sep - Zelda - Link's Awakening
Oct - Luigi's Mansion 3
Nov - Pokemon sword and shield
Dec - ???
I have a theory that Nintendo will release BotW 2 this December as a surprise. Nintendo stated that all the games showed in this E3 Direct are games coming this year. With the exception of Animal Crossing (which was delayed until next year), all the games are spreaded out from now until November. The November release is Pokemon. Nothing has been mentioned about December, the critical shopping month of Xmas. Last year Nintendo released Smash Bros Ultimate in December, so which big game will they released this year? My guess is BotW Sequel.
Nintendo probably started work on the sequel after they launched the original 2 years ago. Or maybe even earlier, as they had already finished the Wii U version in 2015.
Also, BotW 2 will be a real Switch game, not a Wii U port. So it can potentially perform better and look better than the original.
Great move CD Projekt, but I won't buy it. I already bought the Game of the Year Edition for PS4 and it bored me to tears. Now bring Cyberpunk and Keenu Reeve to the Switch too.
Lame, copycat concept won't work. The idea is not fresh anymore and Dragon Quest is not popular outside of Nippon, so it won't go international like Pokemon Go.
Nintendog Walkâ„¢ however will succeed. A mobile Pet simulation that requires walking to keep the dog happy makes more sense.
Social media dictates everything these days, from movies to politics. They can't even make a film with artistic integrity anymore, have to give in to the mob in digital world.
Sure it looks better, but it's not original. If people told Van Gogh that his Starry Night was too swirly that he should just painted them like everyone else, then he would be a nobody today.
Don't buy this game, it's crap. This is not even close to Nintendog, I deleted it after playing for 20 mins. The animals have no personality, it doesn't feel organic. Nintendog on DS feels more life-like than this pile of cat and dog shit.
The priority is optimization for portable mode, then TV mode. Other consoles are easy, but Nintendo always required 2 things, portable/TV or 2 screens like Wii U or DS/3DS.
@MrBlacky It's not just NL, you can read all the Doom reviews and they tell you same thing.
You buy Switch to play Nintendo games, that's the most obvious reason. For both handheld and docked, they work perfectly with 1st party games and even simple indie games. For 3rd party AAA games, you will see that they are always optimized for handheld.
3rd party AAA games exist on many platforms, the devs see the uniqueness and selling point of Switch being portable so they use it as a benchmark, TV is a secondary priority. Their games exist on other platforms, you would've bought them if you want to play on TV. The fact that you chose a Nintendo console over PS4/Xbox shows that: you put Nintendo games as having higher priority over 3rd party ones so playing on TV with 3rd party games should be a less priority to you.

What they meant was Touchscreen support. Again, this game will be optimized for portable play.

Hellblade is 18+ GB on Switch, the same game is 14+ GB on PS4.
Witcher 3 is 32 GB on Switch, the same game is 65+ GB on PS4.

Zelda: Breath of Marjora's ass. Deeper and darker than the original.
