Looks like a time management game like Persona or FE:3 houses.
It will be more interesting if they make it: Backpacking around the world in 80 days with a limited amount of cash. I see a lot of Youtubers doing it, vblogging their way around the world.
The only problem with this game is that it's a 'Return' not 'Remastered'. They reuse the old assets, they are all low res and looks blurry on today's high res screen.
They should point out that it only trains your left brain (logic), the right brain (creativity) is sitting there laughing at it's left counterpart being tortured.
Play this too often and your left brain becomes more muscular and your head size becomes uneven.
This game was made with Unreal Engine. Not in-house engine like previous 3DS Zelda. They don't know how to optimize performance on a 3rd party engine.
Let that be a lesson Nintendo, Unity/Unreal may be easier to kickstart a project but at the end performance issues will come back to bite you and it won't be easy to fix because your programmer didn't built the engine. It's not a cost effective solution, build your own engine.
EA is run by people who don't play games. They are business-minded executives who's only concern is profit. Game companies that made great games are people who enjoy playing them, you can tell their working culture from the quality of their games.
@Zequio Nintendo sold this pen as a standalone product, that means it's going to be more widely use. There's a stylus sensitivity added to 9.0 firmware, have you tried it?
If Iwata was still alive, he wouldn't have let this happened. As a gamer, he would test the hardware rigourously. Current CEO is just a businessman who only cares about money.
You are racing by yourself, this game is deceptive enough to fool people into thinking they are competing with other users online, therefore they will spend money to get better items.
This is a new low for Nintendo. The gold pass is more expensive than Nintendo Online Access for Switch.
This is MarioKart for babies. So easy, swipe left or right. Sometimes I think I am playing against different babies around the world. I kept getting first place unlike MK8.
All Microsoft games (Ori and Cupheads) run at a solid 60 fps on Switch. Nintendo can't even get proper 60 fps with Link's Awakening on their own console.
I think Apple Arcade is going to be competing with Switch more than anything else (it's basically a console in software form). Will Nintendo still sell their games on iOS now that Apple becomes their competition?
This game is selling at $12.99 on Switch, Apple Arcade is $4.99 per month with hundreds of games to play for free. Do the math, even a fool can see the crisis coming for Switch. The indies that made Switch a success are no longer relevant soon.
Bayonetta is better for this type of game. I'd rather mash buttons than remembering which Pokemon to use and which button to press.
If you put this game down for 2 days and played other games, it will be hard to continue. There's too much to learn and remember. FE:3H is the same but at least you can stop to think, Astral Chain is a fast pace action game with no breathing space.
It's strange that this review didn't include the details that iOS port was released 2 years ago. This same game only cost $10 at the App Store. It has max graphics setting at 60 fps with a fairly recent iPad/iPhone.
The Switch port obviously came from the ARMS version.

OT, but the new MS Surface phone will be great for running DS/3DS emulator:
Re: Feature: How David Lynch’s Twin Peaks Influenced The Legend Of Zelda Series
Yeah, but no one likes the new Twin Peaks aired a couple years ago. The same with X-files.

Now is the time for Nintendo to buy them cheap.
We need a Mario and Luigi RPG on Switch.

OK Digital Foundry, I know why the performance is so bad.

Re: Hold On Tight As Digital Foundry Tries To Nail Down Zelda: Link's Awakening's Performance Hiccups
I'd like to see Digital Foundry reviewed Ori. That's a Microsoft game on Switch in rock solid 60 fps, just as good as Cuphead.
Maybe Nintendo should hire Microsoft to make their games.
Re: Hold On Tight As Digital Foundry Tries To Nail Down Zelda: Link's Awakening's Performance Hiccups
Frame rate drops when loading or transiting to a new screen.
Why didn't Nintendo overclocked the processor when it's loading, like they did with BotW and Mario Odyssey in a recent patch?
When Nintendo made a game in 60 fps, it's always rock solid 60 fps. What happened to quality control at Kyoto these days?

Re: A Standalone Nintendo Switch Stylus Is Launching This December In Japan
DS/3DS virtual console is coming. Nintendo wouldn't make a stylus just for one game.
The secret is hidden in plain sight: the way Switch was displayed in the Brain training commercial, in a vertical orientation.
The vertical screen can be divided in 2 to emulate DS/3DS games.

Re: Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Is Making A Glorious Comeback On Switch
@thiswaynow What about the kickstand? Can you buy it too?
A pair of joycons and that recharge thingy will come close to the price of a Switch Lite, may as well buy the real Switch.
Re: Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Is Making A Glorious Comeback On Switch
@mazzel How's a Switch Lite user going to recharge the Joycons?
Re: Dr. Kawashima’s Brain Training Is Making A Glorious Comeback On Switch
Switch Lite not supported.
Re: Feature: Digging Through Nintendo Patents
I will be happy if Nintendo patent a drift-free joycon. No need for all these other fancy gimmicks.

Re: Ori And The Blind Forest "Animates A Bit Smoother" On Nintendo Switch
@Itzsfo0 Get your facts straight, you look like such a fool. I am talking about MS games on Nintendo console.
Link's Awakening runs at 60 fps but not stable.
Runs at 30 fps:
Yoshi's Crafted World
Fire Emblem: 3 houses
Pokemon Let's go
Xenoblades Chronicles 2
Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Re: Video: Untitled Goose Game Gets New Gameplay Trailer, And You Know You Want To Watch It
Don't know why, I got a feeling this game will have a very low review score.
Nintendo didn't promote it since it was first shown a long while ago, and launching on the same day as Zelda? It's DOA.
Re: Angry Bunnies Sure Looks Familiar, But It's Free To Download On Switch
