There is frame rate issue with this game. It's 60 fps, but it's not stable like 3DS Zelda. I think Nintendo is pushing it too hard, the graphics look really good though, no aliasing at all. The water looks real, lighting is probably the best in any Nintendo games. I think the next Mario Kart will have this type of graphics.

@steve39 There are comparison videos of HD textures for PC and iOS over 5 years ago on Youtube. See for yourself, in a racing game where everything move so fast, you won't see the difference. Especially for Switch without 4K support.

This is the biggest threat to Switch, more than Xbox1/PS4. There are over a hundred games at launch, all exclusive to this service. It's like Netflix for games. Big names like Konami and Capcom are making exclusives for Apple Arcade, it should be treated as a console. The games run on iPhone, iPad, Mac and AppleTV: similar to Switch, play on the go or on computer/TV at home.

I think Nintendo executives are in their boardroom biting their nails right now.

This is not a driving game, you don't drive at all. It's a racing game, yes but why is NL comparing this game to GRID?

Both are smartphone ports. On iOS, if you have the latest iPhone or iPad, they run @60fps in max graphic setting.

On Switch, GRID is competent enough but still needs optimising, some tracks drop below 30fps (Chicago) with high quality mode. You need to download extra HD textures but they don't really make any difference.

How does this game compared with Forgotton Anne?

Without HD rumble, many games aren't that fun to play. Lumines and Thumper for example.

Nintendo aren't even aware that people can grabbed the games for free from their eshop servers directly. Pirates had been doing that since the 3DS days. Downloading roms from pirate websites is so archaic.

Having to insert a cart to play a mini game like this is too much effort. It's only a couple dollars on smartphone, the manufacturing of the cart probably cost more.

@JayJ There are advantages for pirates besides the games being free. The FE:3H DLC bug was fixed by Pirates/Homebrewers a few days before the game was launched. It took Nintendo until today to fix it through the new firmware.

This is the first time Nintendo use an off-the-shelf chip for their console, and like they said: "you get what you paid for".

That's the normal size for games on Xbox and Playstation. Red Dead 2 is over 100GB.

GTA 6 on PS5 will most likely be 1TB in size. PS5 supports 8K, can you imagine the textures needed for that resolution?

Only a few people were streaming Astral Chain online, it's not a popular game. Something about Platinum's games, they get good reviews but they don't sell as much as one expects.

This design makes the Switch more aero-dynamic so it drifts further.

The Last of Us is a PS3 game, it can easily run on Switch. Why didn't Sony ported it to Switch?

I mean seriously, no one is going to buy that game on Playstation any more, why not just port it to Switch and earn some money? At least MS is smart in this respect, selling Ori and Cupheads.

It's one of the best looking game on Switch.

But personally I think Bayonetta 2 is superior, it's more responsive because of the 60 fps. Astral Chain feels like Assassins Creed 3, there's a lag. It's still very playable, just not ideal.

Oh, one more thing: if your joycons drift, don't play this game. It will constantly get you killed. FE: 3 houses is more tolerable for drifting joycons.

Platinum studied Marvel movies and recreated many 'heroic feels' (even the music) that differentiate this game from Anime.

Damn, why didn't Marvel asked Platinum to make their games. They can create that high energy action with inspiring heroic feels.

The game has an auto mode, you can select it and the game will play itself. I didn't tried it, what's the point of getting a game and let it play itself? I rather watch someone do a play-through on Youtube.

I already finished it. It's not really a fast pace hack and slash like Bayonetta. I called it strategic action game: you need to think and use the proper Pokemon to solve puzzles and fight enemies.

Visually it looks good, as good as Bayonetta 2, it's just too bad they can't get it to run at 60 fps (probably the only Platinumgames running @30fps). There's also a lot of aliasing which is not apparent in Bayo2.

FYI Astral Chain is a Pokemon game. You trained the demons you caught and use it to fight other demons. This is Platinumgame’s Pokemonetta.

Nintendo always use the mobile as a bait to attract gamers to their console. Probably MK9 will be the major game of December. They launched Animal Crossing and Fire Emblem on the mobile with the Switch version followed behind shortly. AC was delayed, else it would have been out by now.
