not even close to Team Ico and Ghibli. I agree with first post. Intern had fun with some game engine. Walking motion and camera tracking gives away the amateur nature. and that drawbridge is so bouncy..

@CharlieSmile then think of this game as a huge RPG for the 2DS. go get a 2ds for like 60bucks and play assured that its the best game for the 2ds..

i;ve been saying that they should port virtual boy games to 3ds for ever. my other genius idea was to allow for 3d video uploading to youtube.. and a 3d youtube viewer app for the 3ds. so you can watch endless 3d content . no other device can claim to do that.. maybe a 3d tv with glasses but think of how many people have 3ds's

i think they should just put a mature rating on levels. so instead of deleting them, just put them into a mature category that kids can not view. if that user is in for getting more stars, then it would just mean that those who bracket themselves off into the mature only category, will not be played by most of the users meaning less stars. so, if they want their creation to be seen by more people, it would only encourage cleaner designs

So i wish they released this information BEFORE they permanently console banned me from CourseWorld. i was a fan of nintendo since NES when i was 10 years old. I think Im about ready to step away for good after the bad taste they left in my mouth since they have no mercy on cheating that i fell into from a glitch back in feb.

Hey guys can we start a Prediction Thread? that would be fun to brainstorm what WE think the next system should and shouldnt be able to do.. NO?

My first Prediction:

One of the surprise announcement will be that you can take this VERY portable and POWERFUL system with you anywhere as well as screen cast it to smart tv's and a special NX set top box. similar to ChromeCast and Roku.

The cool thing about being able to take this system with you is that they will start opening hotspots in Malls and Gamestop stores and Arcades so that you can play the games that are hosted there.

Another NEW and amazing feature will be that you can bring this system with you to the new Nintendo Theme Park in Orlando. There will be rides and kiosks with exclusive content and gaming action that only people who bring them with them can experience for themselves. So for EXAMPLE

The Mario Kart ride at the new Theme Park is fun like any other ride similar to Olando studios and Disney World. but if you get on the same ride and bring your NX portable. you can use it to shoot down koopas and enemies and at the end of the level. you get a highscore.. the leaderboard will really bring people back for more and it wont be a stupid one. it will be very clever and Miyamoto-like.

Anybody think this to be cool?

costumes and event courses are welcome but i really enjoy new tools by far.

I heard the title is not Mario vs DK , it will be Amiibo vs DK, Mixing Mini's
At any point in a level you can tap an amiibo to the controller to unlock that character. For example, tap the mario amiibo and the mini will start shooting fire balls. Sorry guys, my attempt at a fake news.

@Mogster totally on same page with you. everybody says zelda maker.. i say no. mario is a platformer. you get instant jumps and hurdles to satisfy that part of the gamer. zelda is a puzzle adventure. puzzles have to be designed by teams and implemented over months of thought and brainstorming by design geniuses. if we got the world to design puzzles, boy they would either be trolling or horribly boring. compared to a complicated nintendo deisgner.

what if there was a planet samus explored and it was hyrule. or even the mushroom kingdom.. that would be amazing.

well... looks really polished for a fan made short.. BUT, all amazing productions aside.. story is very bland. What i mean is, many will be dozing off because there isnt any character development.. but really well done.. feels more like a tribute short rather than a realistic Hollywood film. I would love to see a sort of time travel element introduced into the metroid universe. J.J. Abrahams meets Metroid. Or even alternative universe.. which i suppose the prime games did play around with.. where you revisit areas that have changed...

can you imagine a Star Fox Maker? where you place asteroids and enemy ships in a 3D environment and share with the world? then you could have 100 Fox Challenge where you have to get through 10 levels randomly created by others.. place buildings on a planet. recreate death star?

how many more hours of fun is expected from this ? will it be the same length as the main game? less, more? just curious..

One more advantage for Nintendo to offer digital on Amazon is exposure. Right now, a parent who goes to Target usually doesnt go to the electronic department. And the definitely do not go to eShop on the wii u. But, they do get slammed with Amazon ads and offers.. I can imagine many amazon users seeing mario maker for the first time through amazon. Not really knowing what it is.. and if they know that their kid or grand kid has a wii U. then purchasing a game gets much easier for them. theyve also always had the physical option too. i suppose.

I already preordered physical copy from amazon with $10 discount with Amazon Prime.

But the physical copy could be scratched someday.. I have little kids who do that sort of thing from time to time.

Amazon doesnt give 10 dollar discount for digital.. (as far as i know) so my question is to this community..

Mario Maker Digital for 59.99
or
Mario Maker Physical for 49.99 (potential of scratching and.. disc load time and.. possible for loosing disc)

Also, having an option to filter out certain topics like new features in a game like Mario Maker that spoils the enjoyment of discovering things yourself. Maybe dont reveal it in the headline. but rather require a click to the actual article to reveal it. you could put something like this "New Character Unlockable Mario Maker" instead of "Be Windwaker Link In Mario Maker"

@manu0 totally agree. seriously. just put a flag icon before or in the headline. and also have an option for USA users like myself to filter out UK and JAPAN news. i really dont care if UK is getting more club nintendo items.. if anything that makes me more angry.

looks great and horrible at the same time.. how is that possible? i think its the stiffness of the character.. comparing to mario ..

@SparkOfSpirit I really like that there's 2 types of gameplay off the bat.. from this vid.. id welcome more but driving a vehicle as well as flying around is really appealing. also, this LOOKS like a next gen game. im excited.. but i dont have a wii u yet..

GUYS i was in the Chicago based one. I made it past the first round. then they said you have to return the next day for quarter finals.. My parents didn't even consider returning again. Totally out of the question.

I also remember gameboys on display for the first time. The first time i saw tetris on a portable.

I also remember going and watching a boy show off his skills. He was the winner in california or something and he showed off how to get coins faster in the 1st part where you have to get i think 50 coins.. then you have to do 2 laps of rad racer? and then finally you have an overall time limit to get as many points as possible in tetris NES. SO cool. but that memory is so deep. hard to remember all the details. Also without internet back then, I had not clue who won.

seriously.. this puts less and less faith in their NX online plans.. can you imagine? if they cant even get a SURVEY based online experience to work smoothly? how will they unify 3ds, wii u, nx, pc, and phones.. i guess if you dont mind waiting around 5 hours and hope you can log in... and once you are.. who knows if you can even jump.

What happens to all our digital purchases from previous generations? i am only on board with NX if you can bring thing to it. if not, they are asking some people to throw away hundreds if not thousands of dollars worth of content. millions if you consider everyones purchases.
