im just happy to have an official level editor for the best platformer ever. i enjoyed Mario vs Donkey Kong 2: March of the Mini's which actually already did this.. but when that game was popular, internet and wifi was not like it is today.. I think this game would be in Nintendos best interest to release on both wii u and 3ds with cross platform compatibility. Only because you want to make it as accessible as you can. this type of game only attacts a small percentage of users and if you only release it on the wii u, you have already narrowed it down and possibly set yourself up for a disaster. 3DS is a must since it seems basic enough to do and proved with mario vs dk that it is possible. Also having different DLC for the platforms will be a good way to get the level editing niche to buy into both .. only my opinion but i think im right.

Please Nintendo, do a "Secret of" level editor from sunshine.
Also the Zelda Maker and Metroid Maker sounds good on paper but i dont think it would be as good in reality because they are more about puzzles and collecting items. Platforming is ideal for level editors. place a trampoline here and a block there .. flag pole at the end.. test it, works. share with world.
how do you do that with zelda puzzles or metroid ?

Also, i would not be surprised if Nintendo Software Technologies is working on this. remember that footage of them showcasing and editor using html5? maybe this Mario Maker is using what they learned with Mario vs Donkey Kong and porting that tech to a basic mario game. now you can create levels in your browser as well. then play it on your 3ds or wii u. now how about that for a prediction. i dont know any other consoles doing that.

finally.. this is a must have for me. just look at my mario vs donkey kong 2 channel on youtube. just type my user name into youtube and you will see all the levels i made for that game.. i only uploaded a handful but made like thousands.. sooo fun!!! please NINTENDO BRING IT!!!! and do super nes and 3d renditions after

I played it as a child when it first came out. I loved it. Loved the music at the time.. The music from the towns was so adventurous and created a creepy mood. I think if you judge it according to today's standards, yes, its 5/10 but at the time, i would have given it a 8/10.

its not that good... it feels like stuff i saw in college in video class. sort of trying too hard.. and not zelda at all..

honestly, i loved mario vs donkey kong 2 march of the mini's.. i think i put more hours into that level editor than any other ds game ever. i created over 500 levels and shared them with others who were into it too from as many forums i could find. sharing fc's and trading levels that were crazy hard, or even showing off glitches. the good 'ol days. my glory days.. seriously.. i even have a youtube channel to prove it.

then they started removing features.. like being able to control the mini's and having better QA which meant less glitches. arg!!!!

buying physical games makes more sense to me. once done, i can trade or sell it back for another game. i usually never replay a game more than once anyways.

include a level editor where we can share levels with the world like N+ and im in. ill even fork over 500

I agree.. this is my all time favorite video pinball game.. the only downside is that there isnt any leader board to compare scores with the world...

over rated.. this game is by no means equal to the other 9/10 titles. i own it, and have been playing it. its more like a 7/10 game honestly.
I have played many rhythm games and i would give Band Bros Daigasso a 10/10 when it comes to rhythm games. Look it up. its for the DS and you have to import it. The only downer for that game is that all the songs are either jpop or classic and game music. so more variety. and you use all the buttons, up down left right L R a b x y and the touch screen. Where as in this game you only use the touch screen and that gets repetitive and less challenging after a while. Can you imagine if you had to push all the buttons? now that is Daigasso band bros 2 for you! look it up on youtube

Jump Ultimate Stars didn't make it, why would this.? Plus they would have to translate all the voice overs for characters that have never been introduced to the States..

I think they should take this engine, and apply it to something more appealing to the states side. Like Marvel vs DC vs Capcom or Hannah Barbarra vs Mattel vs Capcom..etc..

Pinball Pulse The Ancient Beckons btw, is very well worth the 500 points!!!

I grew up playing Star Trek TNG pinball at a local bowling alley growing up... The best pinball fun ive ever had.. Closest 2nd though is Pinball Pulse Ancient Beckons downloadable from eshop.. I love it when there's missions and final battles that makes you feel like you are experiencing a story.. The borg attacking and use of the gun to shoot the pinball at the borg cube was the best feeling.. and then on the video screen above, controlling the shuttle craft to avoid asteroids.. best best best.. go look it up on youtube
