It needs to be something completely innovative though.. and Worthy of HD and lots of FMV if that is what they might fill a BlueRay disc.. It could be some sort of new game that will sell millions like mario or even a game with all the characters like smashbros but maybe more of a sidescroller rather than a fighter... thats my guess.. Ill call it Super Nintendo Bros
I mentioned this when they first announced the 3DS. I also think that an online 3D photo sharing community would be cool. You take a picture with the 3D picture and then upload it to something like photo.nintendo.com and then people can download them on their 3ds to view them. or maybe they can work out a deal with facebook upload or even picasa or flickr. the picture will only display 1 eye view for online jpg or png view but when you opt to view that image through the 3ds, it appears in 3d whether it be through the opera browser. also having the ability to view your 3d images on 3d hdtv's would be a plus!..
Anyone remember N+ for the DS? That game didnt use friend codes either. SO, i hope this isnt just a 3rd party thing. I can imagine Nintendo keeping them in for their games...
My favorite installment thus far is March of the Minis. I liked the fact that you COULD control the minis with the stylus. Tap them to stop them, slice through them to make them turn the other way, and flip them upward to make them jump. But now, its lemmings. I don't like it one bit. I like to have control over the minis. But now you only have control over the environment. And that sux. If anyone here downloaded the DSiWare version, and has NOT played the March Of the Minis for the DS, I suggest you take a gander at it only because it was, IMHO, the best of the 4 . I also bought the GBA one from a used game store in while in japan for about 10 bucks and that was well worth the money.
What would make my jaw drop? A new controller system that you have to put in your mouth and to make Mario jump, you have to open your mouth (drop your jaw) the farther you drop your jaw, the higher mario jumps.. That is what Im guessing .. Kinda like the vitality sensor. but for the mouth.
I just talked to Iwata and he whispered in my ear the following: "don't tell anybody this but, the next console isn't even gonna be a console. it will be a pill you take which causes your body to turn into a virtual reality experience. The pill contains melatonin which triggers one to fall asleep. during which time, your brain will have access to wifi and the internet. From there, people can "think" themselves to the Nintendo Conncection where they can "BE" mario or link in their respective worlds." Controllers? Discs? Televisions? 3D glasses? They are a thing of the past. We will call our next project "Image N" N standing for Nintendo. Please don't tell anyone because Sony and MS will definitely steal our ideas and we havn't patented them yet.!!" oh he also added this, "We also do not recommend children under 7 to engage in the pill activities. Also, adults over 40 will have side effects such as nausea, hallucinations, and loss of sexual desires." pretty cool stuff coming down the road!!
Popyman, I agree. Hudson can not do what Team ICO excels at. Shadow of the Colossus and ICO as well as the long anticipated The Last Guardian makes this game look like silliness. Just go look at the Last Guardian trailer! Problem is , that is for PS3..
Hi Sean, seems you are always commenting on pinball games, as do I. Anyways, this review and those crappy screens gives me no interest what-so-ever in dumping 500 points for it. If people out there havn't downloaded Pinball Pulse and are looking for a good pinball game, then go for that one instead. Its 1 table but there is so much going on in it that I would rather have 1 great table than 5 duds.
I'm gonna buy this game, win it, unlock all the level editor stages, create over 200 levels, share them with people i find on forums just like this and discover over 40 glitches. Just like I did with the 2nd installment, March of the Minis. Ill video footage of the glitches and awesome levels and up them to youtube. Ill also see what the contests are like and I also hope for a better online experience. The nintendo.com hub for MotM, was a joke. It never updated and eventually it didnt even work. They better put more energy into their next HUB.. But will love it none the less.
I think it has more to do with game availability as well as giving the DSi a chance at cashing in on software. I dont think its about polishing the hardware because they already showed it off at E3 in pretty much final form. If they add stronger video or larger memory, that effects the developers so, im guessing that the hardware is 99% done. Releasing it next year is a strategic move on N to try and focus their energy on software titles for their current console.
I played the DS game to death. I created over 200 levels. Discovered over 30 glitches. I hope this game isnt bug-free. The bugs are what made the last game so much fun! If anyone wants to see all my uploaded videos to youtube follow this link. I even ran a self-solver challenge and about 10 people submitted them. Take a look when you have some time! I am an old dad now in my 30's but i remember when i was in jr high, playing the NES blaster master.. and guess how geeky I am... I can still hum the tune to the ice stage.. level 6 .. which by the way is one of my all time favorite soundtracks.. i wonder what the music for this wiiware title is like because one major charm factor for me is the music... game is amazinb btw http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peliUi6LRq4
I will rent from library, save 50$ and avoid another dust collector. That is what happens with all my games. I never replay them. I win get all stars and have not interest in them. Renting from library is the way to go.!!! and if you dont finish, just rent again later or from a video rental for 3$. Also, my favorite 3D mario is Sunshine. Not the whole game though. Those levels called "The Secret of" Levels. oh ..those were awesome. Just platforming in its purist. I have always been longing for Mario "The Secret of" game with level editor/ sharing!!! that would be 10/10 for me!!!
http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/mpd/permalink/m26LFLF064NUC It's called Kagenotou in Japan. Feels like Hudson is really trying to capture the feel of ICO and Shadow of the Colossus. Even the music in the video above sounds like the ending music from ICO. You can view that song here (great by the way) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PqL1OIvveN8 NOTE: ICO and Shadow of the Colossus are in my opinion, is the direction that Zelda should be moving towards. If you are a fan of Zelda, you have to play through ICO and SOC! Team ICO is genius.
DS, DS Lite, DSi here's my few guesses: Nintendo Life (cause its gonna be the way of life) Nintendo DZ (pronounced dizzy) Nintendo DDD Nintendo DO Nintendo Look Nintendo Sii or Cii (as in 'see')
Also, 3DS is already taken by Autodesk. It's one of their major 3D software. S stands for Studio. 3D Studio Max . I always called it 3DS as did all my comrades.
Look at the differences between SMB 1, 2 and 3. I just wished/hoped for a new art direction. But oh well, I guess I cant be too picky. I guess if they did that then maybe we wouldnt see it til 2011
Whats so great about this? Its just more of the same. They are recycling the engine. Nothing really new. Just Yoshi and some power ups. If they included 4 player wifi co op.. or create your own level and share options, then maybe but its just a rehash of galaxy 1. Ill play through it but quite honestly, they should have done more. nothing innovative about it.
They didn't censor in Kid Icarus. Look at those statues in the bg.. I remember being a kid playing myself and I rather enjoyed it. It made me want to beat the game over and over .. and over.. BTW, this is the last stage heading towards Medusa. Also, isn't it weird that when you are an infant, not only can you look at breasts, but you can suck them.. ? then as you get older, you can't even look at them.
I have both Daigaso Band Bros and Band Bros DX. This game is the most amazing piece of DS software known. Especially the DX. that game is crazy amazing. I have about 80 games downloaded and still am allowed to download 20 more. but just haven't gotten around to it... The wifi is state of the art too. Searching for songs by genre, and allowed to listen before downloading. All midi music of course if that doesn't bother those who are accustomed to the Guitar Hero with real music. The reason Midi works so well is that the you can have up to 8 tracks from drums to melody and base. I give it a 10/10 one of my best purchases ever.
NSMBWii and Galaxy both are collecting dust after putting about 2 weeks at about 1 hour per day into them. collecting all the stars and coins and whatever. If Galaxy boasts more than that, im happy! Especially if they include a level editor/online sharing feature to add to replay!!! please Miyamoto!
3D is also sort of gimmicky. Its an effect and it will only last as long as you are amazed by it. Other than that, they really need to rethink gaming and innovate to be able to push games on me. I mean if they slap mario on it, it'l do well but if EA came out with Tiger Woods 3D , dont expect me to be in line waiting for that. The 3D will probably be similar to that japanese game where the camera senses your movements and reflects that in the view. I guess if they had a lcd that projected 2 images based on the average distance a player's face is from the screen, then you could also create an illusion that objects are sticking out in front of the screen but my question is, HOW will this make developers rethink gaming? is it just FX ? or is it actually a major game play element?
I own this game too. I played alot when i first got it. I created a few myself but havn't touched it since.. I need to pull this game out again. Thanks for reminding me of this gem. Id give this game a 9/10 as well for those who like sudoku and picross.
Yeah I heard about this game a while back and had some ideas for what they could do with it.. For example, a Mario game. Where you have to jump from one panel to another but the platforms are not there until you tilt the DSi. so you might jump towards nothing but as you tilt, the ground forms similar to this game. and it can also be a side-scrolling environment but with a diorama feel.
Why didn't they just let us here the in game music so that we can understand the game mechanics? Thats the whole selling factor to me. i want to hear the gameplay music and see how the jumps and ducking sync with the rhythm.
I have no idea who this guy is.. haha.. but, coincidentally, the game I put more hours than any other game WAS Mario vs Donkey Kong 2 March of the Mini's because of the LEVEL EDITOR. My question then is, what do you think of level editors? If Donkey Kong allowed you to create your own stage, what would you like to see in it?
okay, i have a new business model for nintendo. in game advertising and free games. imagine you buy a ds2 in the summer of 2011. you open it up and you see that there is about 10 games on it for free. but here is the catch. you click the NES version of Super Mario Bros, or so it seems but everytime you hit the ? block thinking a mushroom will come out, instead the McDonalds "M" comes out and everytime a player collects an M, McDonalds pays Nintendo 10cents. Each level could be a different company or the whole game could be McD's exclusive. And that is what makes the game free for us. What do you guys think of this business model?
Kid Icarus Wii and DS simultaneous release utilizing dsi camera, vitality sensor, balance board, wii speak mic, and a new Bow and Arrow attachment for the wii mote and nunchuck with motion plus.
wife said I cant buy any more games this year!!!! because i bought a dslr camera.. which i love btw.. arg.. I want tatsunoko and a few on this list!! ohwell
Swerd_Murd and Donatello think Kid Icarus.. I Third this. With motion plus, it could be a masterpiece. Archery in Sport Resorts as well as Pinball Pulse The Ancient Beckons as well as Smash Bros Brawl would be great prep for this game. KID ICARUS PLEASE!!!KID ICARUS PLEASE!!!KID ICARUS PLEASE!!!KID ICARUS PLEASE!!!
This is the first time Nintendo has to really think about backwards compatibility. Because all the nongamers like my parents who bought this system are probably not gonna go for a new system all together. Unless they have some sort of killer new technology like the wiimote. The only think I can imagine is some sort of 3D device that makes you feel like you are really in an environment. Like a 3D glasses that you wear and also has motion detection. Like a VR helmet or something. Look left and you see left etc.. Can you imagine how awesome that would be? Holding a 2 wiimotionplus controllers in each hand and needing to look 360 to find the monsters that are trying to catch you? Now that would be willing a purchase..
Daigasso Band Bros DX is my 10/10 Rhythm import of choice. Please do a review on that game. That game is amazing and more satisfying as a rhythm game.. imho 大合奏!バンドブラザーズDX http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rU-7wr74hJ8
Why doesn't Iwata take notes from this youtube video that has over 7million views and start make a game based on this 3D experience? No glasses needed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw
Ive got a cool name for title of an RPG thats better than Last Story.. Deadend Dreams. Always about some boy with dreams that his family and friends always tell him that its a deadend dream. but it ends up saving the world...
My last name is Sakaguchi too!!! and my first name shares the ending of Nobu. but the beginning is different. its actually that of a green dinosaur. Anyways. enough about me. I feel like this is a measly attempt at making another hit RPG.. by copying the name style. If it ends up being Final Fantasy but with a different name, then it might as well just be a FF title. which makes it nothing special but, if they take risks and use the direct line to Nintendo to do things with wii motion plus or the other accessories, then we've got something here.
Hi all, I grew up in Japan and watched the transformers hack of an anime called Gold Lightan. I believe this game has that huge gold robot dude if im not mistaken and that was Tatsunoko's foot in the transformer market back in the early 80's which didnd do all too well. But I remember when I was in preschool in japan, I use to make them with paper and scotch tape. You know why that cartoon never made it state side? Cause the robots transformed into cigarette lighters! Gold Lightan! japanese are crazy marketing a cartoon to kids glorifying smoking .. haha bet you guys never knew that! Its like if they came out with a cartoon here called Zippo Fighters Ill leave you all with this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3P_cPb980k0
Found this for Pinball Attack.. Currently im enjoying Pinball Pulse so this definitely interests me although I have mixed feelings about the video they have on their website http://www.artepiazza.com/pinballattack/
Ran across this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Plu_dOct9zY listen to it if you want to hear a very zelda like soundtrack very dramatic... Listen to this as you play. it will set a mood!!
I played and defeated this game when it was out in the 80's. Gives you a clue to my age. The music is still in my head. I can actually hum the 6th Ice Level ... Its really catchy and upbeat. Also, this game is really difficult and will take you a long time to defeat. One other thing I remember is coming back to an area with a new ability that allows you to get to an area you couldnt before. I highly recommend it only if you are in the mood for a difficult adventure with memorable tunes..
I have 2 guesses. Zelda ... To appeal to a new audience, if you just call it Z and put two ii's after it, then maybe a nongamer might be attracted to getting this game. OR, what if in the new Zelda game, you can play with Link saving Zelda or, you can play with your Mii and save Zii a princess that you create. Any thoughts?

Maybe it will be included with their next console. WiiHD
It could really help enforce emotional moments...like if you get hit with a bullet in a shooter the whole room could turn red.. that would be cool!!!

Daigasso Band Bros DX is my 10/10 Rhythm import of choice. Please do a review on that game. That game is amazing and more satisfying as a rhythm game.. imho

Re: Nintendo Chief Doesn't Care for the iPad
Why doesn't Iwata take notes from this youtube video that has over 7million views and start make a game based on this 3D experience? No glasses needed. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jd3-eiid-Uw
Re: Nintendo Chief Doesn't Care for the iPad
I heard Apple is coming out with a new device that will destroy Nintendo before the end of the year. They are calling it the iWata
Re: Final Fantasy Creator Working on Last Story for Wii
Ive got a cool name for title of an RPG thats better than Last Story.. Deadend Dreams. Always about some boy with dreams that his family and friends always tell him that its a deadend dream. but it ends up saving the world...
Re: Final Fantasy Creator Working on Last Story for Wii
My last name is Sakaguchi too!!! and my first name shares the ending of Nobu. but the beginning is different. its actually that of a green dinosaur.
Anyways. enough about me. I feel like this is a measly attempt at making another hit RPG.. by copying the name style. If it ends up being Final Fantasy but with a different name, then it might as well just be a FF title. which makes it nothing special but, if they take risks and use the direct line to Nintendo to do things with wii motion plus or the other accessories, then we've got something here.
Re: Review: Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars (Wii)
Its like if they came out with a cartoon here called Zippo Fighters
Ill leave you all with this

Re: Review: Blaster Master (Virtual Console / NES)
I played and defeated this game when it was out in the 80's. Gives you a clue to my age. The music is still in my head. I can actually hum the 6th Ice Level ... Its really catchy and upbeat. Also, this game is really difficult and will take you a long time to defeat. One other thing I remember is coming back to an area with a new ability that allows you to get to an area you couldnt before. I highly recommend it only if you are in the mood for a difficult adventure with memorable tunes..
Re: Just What Is The Nintendo Zii?
I have 2 guesses. Zelda ... To appeal to a new audience, if you just call it Z and put two ii's after it, then maybe a nongamer might be attracted to getting this game. OR, what if in the new Zelda game, you can play with Link saving Zelda or, you can play with your Mii and save Zii a princess that you create. Any thoughts?
