Nintendo should take some notes from ICO and Shadow of the Colossus by TeamICO .. Those 2 games hit dead on what I'd expect as a complete overhaul.. Just go to youtube and watch any footage and you'll know what Im talking about. For TeamICO's PS3 title coming next year, search for Last Guardian. AMAZING!!!!
Manga is brought to mind for some reason... In the states, books are rather large and inconvenient to carry around. Manga and books in japan are tiny. They can fit in your pocket. They split them up into smaller parts so, for example, if Stephen King book came out, it would be in about 5-6 volumes.. With that said, the japanese are really all about portability and this news does surprise me. And the assumption that the states would not take to this system is rather ironic wouldnt you say? the states is all about bigger and larger ... We dont care about portability. We just want to have more more more.. but in this case, the Japanse are the ones that are proving history wrong.
Music that kicks in at the minute mark is AWESOME... With the let down of NSMBW's soundtrack, Im glad to see that N put some effort into a kick butt-catchy-hum-all day-tunage.. Music really should get more credit than we think...

I didnt like TP that much either.. My prediction - Zelda - "The Dark Mirror" (Darkest Zelda to date) Open Cut Scene - Old lady lures Zelda away from guards. Zelda gets stabbed through the heart and the hag licks the blade. As she does, her body transforms into Zelda. Jump 20 years later. Queen Zelda has turned Hyrule into a fortress of doom. Darkness has swept the overworld and rumors of a treaty between her and Ganondorf have emerged. The world is upside down. Link, now in his 40's is married and has kids of his own. A farmer/fisherman by trade, only has faint memories of his glorious hero-hood of the past. Along with his son, Maize and Daughter, Labby, they are heading on their yearly journey to pay homage to Queen Zelda. As they approach and bow to offer their yearly gifts of rupies and grain, Queen Zelda sees and recognizes Link. She whispers into the guards ears and they grab both of Links children and take them away as Link yells and struggles for them. Link is thrown into the dungeon and his execution date has been set. As he sits in the dungeon, an old man with a long white beard recognizes Link and reveals the truth and that Link must first escape and go to the hidden graves of Hyrule. The man gives him a key and dissappears into the darkness. Link gets to the graves and finds a small stone with engraving that says , Here lays Princess Zelda. He can not believe his eyes. It starts to rain and thunder.. just then lightening strikes her grave stone. And emerges a large ghost of her. She starts to tell him about what happened over 20 years ago. ... anyone want to hear the ending?
No!.. I'd rather them spend that energy on a Level Editor. I'd say rather than doing these guides, just have different difficulty modes? less enemies, the pits might have a bounce back feature, so that if you fall into a pit, you just get sent back a few screens or something..
Oh i love this game.. reference to rayvin400's post, about a point. well, when i started playing it, i didnt know what the point was either.. but then i started to discover all the modes and the 5 mail goals of this game.. 1.Pegasus Video Mode (get through it) 2. Collect all 12 tributes with one ball 3. Defeat Medusa 4. Pass all 6 Quests within a game 5. Get Super Jack Pot from Siren Multiball After you do all 5 of these things, you will open Pandoras Box. Now the fun begins.. I have yet to pass this mode. I do not know what lays beyond, but my guess is massive points. Pandoras box elevates from the board and really surprises you. Actually gave me goosebumps the first time it happened.. If anyone has passed Pandora's box, please let me know.

I agree with Metal Mario Please release Kid Icarus : The Legendary Bow and Wii not Wiiware.. Wiiware is watered down and low budget. Please work on a full fledged epic version!!!

I liked PH as well, but I worry when N introduces sidekicks.. I enjoy the zeldas where Link is a lonestar. I didnt care for the wolf gimmic in TP.. also this train travel thingy.. i know they are trying to make it different from the boat travel (which was also gimmicky) .. its like when megaman got his dog.. arg.. its not cool anymore.. just cute.. and takes away from his glory.. Its not Megaman won saved the world but rather, megaman and his pooch..

Okay, to make this different than anything thats out there.. It'l have to be a 3D mario game.. Like maybe for the next Galaxy 2 game.. And it doenst have to be too theme heavy.. It can just be rotating boxes and moving platforms.. I just downloaded it last night because of this review.. And I like it. Its smooth and the ball reacts just like a real table. I find myself timing the paddle to catch the ball as it comes down but releasing the paddle just as it comes down to hit it.. then boom i can pretty much time my swings to send it up a ramp and ive even done various ramps like 4 times in a row.. And Zues keeps saying Combo, Super Combo.. etc.. Video mode is controlling a dragon in 3 columns.. avoiding fireballs and collecting stars.. then when you finish, you get a reward... Great game for 500.. Although i've always been meaning to look for Metroid Pinball.. but im assuming even used it would be like 15 bucks
The end of renting/borrowing as we knew and loved it!!!! In the age of CD/dvd and Cartrige based gaming, if we finished a game, we could sell it used, let a friend borrow it, or even trade .. With download to 1 console policy, you can now never let a friend borrow mario vs donkey kong. You'd have to let him borrow the whole console. This sucks.. Why did i buy into this stupid DSi. Let's boycott DSiWare. Seriously.. If we all here at NL boycotted that would be detrimental to their goals. Which is to get rid of the physical game. This is not a better option. It feels like the way of the future but if we voice our opinions now and not support the DSiWare way, they'll have to resort back to the Cartrige
!!!!!! I just had an epiphany.. !!!!!! We are all thinking inside the box! Please read on if you want to hear my amazing idea. Capcom vs The World Please hear me out. It ships with capcom's vast cast. but the opponent is who YOU make it to be. You design a character, similarly to a mii or any avatar and name it. Then you create the moves by inputting them using the wii mote/motion plus. so, for a punch low, you actually swing your arm and it records your movements and saves it to that punch. the avatar creator will be very robust and will allow you to make anything from a popeye to an optimus prime, the more time you put into it, the more detail you can get. you can also fight the world with this character via online battle. and you cna try to become the world champion.
you can opt for basic streetfighter moves like forward, down, foward to throw something... or, you can make up your own input. and the fighting takes place with the 4 wii motes.. 2 strapped around the ankles and 2 in your hands.. obviously there would be other control options but this would be the ultimate figher ever..

Link, Samus, Kid Icarus, Mario himslef, Kirby, Fox McCloud, Captain Falco and Starfy ... Thus the saga begins. On a quest of massive proportions... Sidescrolling mindbenders meet first person bow and arrow shooters. You must work together as a team to restore the planet and place all the sprites to their rightful homes... Saving princesses will only be a backdrop to a tale of unimaginable proportions. Get ready for the gaming event of the millenium. Thus enters The Last Story. Are you ready?
Someone above mentioned getting this game for Christmas above.. well, I got Zelda 2:Adventures of Link.. and I think I may be the only one in the world, or my mind was totally impressionable at the time but I loved that game. And my fondest memories for the Zelda franchise is attached to that game.. The music, the Sidescrolling/rpg elements, The palaces and the downthrust attack.. all was introduced via the sidescrolling elements.. In a way, Smash Bros, needs to thank Zelda2 for all the references of side attacks...
Gold Lightan - I grew up watching this cartoon in Japan as well as having a few of the toys.. Did you know that it would never make it to the states cause it was basically promoting smoking. Gold Lighter Transformers. Notice the similarities in robot drawings to the Transformers. I think this was Tatsunoko's stab at competing against the Autobots and Decepticons. The human characters all owned different cigarette lighters that transformed into huge robots. That is the premise of the cartoon. Crazy huh?

Gold Lightan - I grew up watching this cartoon in Japan as well as having a few of the toys.. Did you know that it would never make it to the states cause it was basically promoting smoking. Gold Lighter Transformers. Notice the similarities in robot drawings to the Transformers. I think this was Tatsunoko's stab at competing against the Autobots and Decepticons. The human characters all owned different cigarette lighters that transformed into huge robots. That is the premise of the cartoon. Crazy huh?

Has any of you Zelda enthusiasts tried ICO or Shadow of the Colossus for ps2? Those 2 games are Zelda realistic... Has puzzles and adventure that makes Zelda look like something for pre-schoolers. just look up some vids on youtube and you'll know exactly what i mean.
