Super Mario Maker has seen some peculiar - and fun - Mystery Costume unlocks through its regular Event Courses. Some have been beloved Nintendo characters, while others have been quirkier inclusions or even marketing tie-ins. The latest is unsurprising considering the game's cast, but should nevertheless be fairly humorous in action.
Yamamura will be unlockable via an Event Course from 13th January; that's the pigeon that provides course-building tips. The character's even been used in slightly weird online tutorials; besides, perhaps we've all secretly wanted a pixelated pigeon to be playable.
Will you be hopping into the game to play this upcoming Event Course?

Yamamura is a passive-aggressive dick.
I like him.
Will play. Don't really care about the costume though.
Insert salt about pigeon being playable before Daisy.
a pigeion?
that's it Nintendo! you step into wiredness again which is awesome.
im getting this.
inb4 people complain about Daisy
It had better poop as a power... cuz.... what else do pigeons do?
@Grumblevolcano
Who's Daisy?
Maybe an 8bit Punch Out Sprite of Mike Tyson will try to catch said pigeon.
Oh boy I always wanted Hatoful Boyfriend in my Mario games.
Pretty bird. Yeah can you say pretty bird?
I love the Event Courses, keep 'em coming Nintendo
costumes and event courses are welcome but i really enjoy new tools by far.
Will Mary O and the rest become playable too?
let's hope he doesn't "poop" on our level! "lame joke is lame"
at this point I'd pay for DLC if it had new tools and enemies.
its the 20th anniversary of Bubsy 3D, a costume for our beloved fallen hero please!
@Retro_on_theGo That was literally the first thing that came to my mind when I saw this.
@KingofSaiyans To be fair Yamamura is an actual character. He helps Mary. O aka Mashiko iirc to all you weird Europeans
@KingofSaiyans I wasnt saying you were from Europe But yeah Yama appears in the e-manual which is actually really good, I would recommend checking it out.
I want to make a The Big Bang Theory joke now.
The pigeon's death SFX will involve a fire extinguisher.
TBBT fans know which scene I'm talking about.
@KingofSaiyans
Not ANY inanimate carbon rod, but the one who saved Homer Simpson and Buzz Aldrin as they re-entered the Earth's atmosphere!
