Re: Activision Enlists Kevin Spacey To Sell Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare's New Brand Of Combat

kyuubikid213

Likely not getting it since the next Call of Duty I plan to get, should it ever come out, is Black Ops III.

I think it will come out on Wii U since pretty much all of the Call of Duty games came out on the Wii and DS. I mean, really, the DS? I enjoyed them and thought they were mostly well put together (hated Black Ops), but I don't think anyone asked for Call of Duty on the DS.

Re: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure Could Have Been a Nintendo Exclusive

kyuubikid213

To be honest, I don't think it'd really matter one way or the other.

Whenever I see Skylanders stuff ANYWHERE (on TV, at Walmart, at GameStop), the only versions I see are 3DS, Wii, and Wii U.

I don't know if that's got to do with the other versions selling like hotcakes or just better marketing for the Nintendo consoles. I swear I even saw a Wii U GamePad in one commercial.

Re: Mario Kart 8 Producer Explains The Absence of a Custom Track Creator

kyuubikid213

When it comes to games, I prefer to play on stages designed by a team that was payed to ensure the stage is playable, fun, rewarding, challenging, and polished. The average person, artistically skilled or not, cannot best a stage made by a game company.

And, to be fair, if there were a track editor, we all know what it'd be like. There would be about 12 really good, commendable tracks. The rest would be unplayable, unbearably long/short, full of coins/items/hazards, and/or knock-offs of Super Mario Bros. World 1-1.

Re: Wii U System Update 4.1.0 Available Now

kyuubikid213

My Wii U froze twice on me and only in Assassin's Creed III.

It's pretty stable. I've seen 360s Red Ring more than I've had issues with this console.

Stability is good. Personally, an update to improve speed is a bit of a necessity even though load times are significantly shorter than day one.

Re: Soapbox: The Nintendo Wi-Fi Disconnection Reminds Us Why Local Multiplayer Still Matters

kyuubikid213

Of course, no one else sees this. By no one else, I mean other gamers.

Once the servers for games with no local multiplayer go off, they'll defend it to the death as I defend games with local multiplayer and no online and buy the newest game.

Really though, I'm only upset with games that don't have local, but have online. I can't play some of my brother's 360 games with him simply because they only have online multiplayer. If a game has local and no online, it's blasphemy. If it's the other way around, no one cares.

Re: Nintendo Switching Off Wi-Fi Connection Service On Wii And DS

kyuubikid213

I have to admit, I'm a little upset because I was looking forward to playing Modern Warfare 3 online when I got home for the summer.

My only question is what about Wii Mode? Will that work with online or not? If not, oh well. If so, great.

I know there are a lot of people that still play Mario Kart Wii online, but it doesn't hit me that hard because I only have three Wii online games anyway (Smash Bros. Brawl, Modern Warfare 3, and Monster Hunter Tri) and one of those lost its online last year. As for my DS games, I never played those online because I could never find a WEP access point.

The service will be missed, but it won't affect me.

Re: TwitchPlaysPokémon Renewed for Generation Two

kyuubikid213

I started watching it last night after getting spammed with Helix Fossil memes.

It's pretty fun and I'm going to dive back into Leaf Green version because of it.

It was kind of funny because they got stuck last night and they had to walk back and forth to run into Pokémon until their team was wiped out. Of course, pressing up, down, up, down is an absolute NIGHTMARE when 70,000 people are playing at once.

Re: Review: Metroid Prime: Hunters (DS)

kyuubikid213

@Varia01 If you can find it at GameStop, it may be a touch cheaper, but otherwise, this game is pretty elusive. I've only ever seen one copy. Mine. A vintage game store near my house had the demo cart.

Re: Weirdness: Samus Aran's Metroid Backstory Re-imagined as a Love Song

kyuubikid213

I don't really see what's wrong with the song and Metroid: Other M.

Metroid is a great series and Other M didn't kill it. To be honest, I don't get why I don't see such hatred toward the ACTUAL worst game of the series, Metroid Prime Hunters.

As for the song, yeah, it's silly, but if you've seen brentalfloss's other videos, silly o if it's the linearity of the game or the fact that it wasn't Prime 4 or what. The is kind of what he does. Some have strong language and some NSFW content for those who are curious, but silliness is his thing.

Re: Intriguing Data Helps Explain Nintendo's Smart Device Strategy

kyuubikid213

@Mahe I really don't see why you're so averse to the GamePad. It's a great controller and despite having a screen on it, it doesn't feel heavier than the 360 pad.

It's a good controller. Lay off it already. And there's a nice selection of games where you don't even need to use the GamePad like Assassin's Creed, Call of Duty, and (in some cases) Super Mario 3D World.

Re: Watch_Dogs Delayed Again on Wii U, Will Arrive on the System After Other Platforms

kyuubikid213

I don't see why they couldn't just delay all the games and release every version at the same time. It's not like it would take any extra effort or anything...

"Okay, everyone! We've finished the PS3, 360, PS4, One, and PC versions of Watch_Dogs! Let's finish testing the Wii U version and then we'll package everything up so we don't piss off our fanbase."

You would never see this junk happen to anything else. If the PS4 was getting a game and the One was going to get it later for an arbitrary reason, there'd be riots in the streets.

It's funny though, technically there are more Wii Us in the wild now, more than the PS4 and One (not combined of course), so wouldn't it be MORE profitable to ensure that next gen version was finished anyway? Or hell, just forget about the next gen consoles and port the PS360 verison to the Wii U with minimal GamePad support. Out of the 145 million console owners of those three, they'd make more than their money's worth...

Re: Nintendo Scoops Two Awards at D.I.C.E

kyuubikid213

@BinaryFragger I don't think anyone's saying Nintendo should win EVERY award because THAT would be rigged. From the general consensus, though, sometimes it seems a fair amount of decent games don't get the recognition they deserve because they aren't "edgy" or "mature."

And, in all fairness, a lot of games do get unfair reviews and a lot of games get Game of the Year despite coming out at the last third of the year when awesome titles that came out in February or March get glanced over.
