@Mahe I know TBD or Lz will get mad at me for this, but...can you just go? You're clearly not having fun here, so why put yourself through it? Go have fun somewhere instead of complaining about the GamePad or Nintendo's shortcomings.
@Linkypoo You're confusing me now... Of course the 3DS has more games because it's been out for a year longer... as for better, that's a matter of opinion. Also, it's not like it's hard to think of Wii U games. What about ZombiU? Wind Waker HD? Lego City? Nintendo Land? Super Mario 3D World? Mario Kart 8? Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze? Wonderful 101? What about the third party titles like Assassin's Creed? Mass Effect? Darksiders? Call of Duty? Batman?
I'm not against the 3DS, and your purchase is your purchase. Just...the Wii U is well worth the $300 in my opinion anyway.
@AJ_Lethal I think he's just attacking the Wii U as a whole now. Hasn't the Wii U sold more units in Japan than the PS4 these past two weeks? With the aid of Mario Kart 8?
@Linkypoo Well...you did say you hated cel-shaded/paintbrush graphics...
I don't understand what you're trying to say really. Are you saying you were troll commenting or something? The Wii U looks better than the 3DS when comparing games on equal levels of beauty (SM3DL vs SM3DW and MK7 vs MK8).
@Chriiis I scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page and commented. I didn't even see. I also took a few minutes thinking of what to type. Ah well. Mahe will be Mahe.
@Kirk Awww, man, why do you have to be a letdown with Splatoon?
It's still in development and I personally think it looks great. Stacked up against Battlefield Hardline and Call of Duty Advanced Warfare (I know they won't come out at the same time), Splatoon looks relatively interesting and the farthest thing from a disappointment.
I'll admit it caught me off guard, but the longer they talked about it, the more intrigued I was.
As psyched as I am for Zelda, Bayonetta, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Hyrule Warriors, Smash Bros., and Devil's Third; Splatoon really got to me.
It looks different and new and I am really excited to play it. I'll probably get it after the others I've listed above (excluding Hyrule Warriors and Devil's Third), but that's a game I really want to play.
@Linkypoo I don't have a problem with people stating their opinions, but you said you'd never buy a Wii U because of cartoony, cel-shaded graphics. I think that's a poor reason to not buy a console, but it's your reason, so whatever.
Also, Skyrim and Team Fortress are great games, whether they're on Nintendo or not. Battlefield...eh. It's alright. I was only using those as examples where cartoony styles work just as well, if not better, in the same genre of game.
My opinion is that cartoony styles will always beat out realism because those will stand the test of time and always look beautiful whereas "realistic" games will be "pixel-counted" and only look worse as time goes on, slowly earning the accolade "It Looked Good For It's Time." The original Tomb Raider with it's realistic art style looks kind of bad by today's standards, but Crash Bandicoot still looks amazing. That's my opinion. I'll respect yours if you can respect mine.
@Linkypoo I really don't understand why you're even commenting. The game looks great. Cartoony or cel shaded art styles beat out realism any day. Skyrim looks like garbage compared to Wind Waker (the original GCN version). Team Fortress 2 is incredible next to Battlefield.
Realistic graphics have their place, but this game (and all the games you listed for that matter) aren't bad looking by a long shot.
I'm going to be at work during the event... Maybe I'll be able to watch it during my lunch break...
Anyway, I'm excited. These past few E3s I've only watched because of Nintendo (the first one I recall watching revealed the 3DS) and I've not been disappointed yet. I can't wait to see what's going to be revealed/shown off this time!
Nintendo, you won't disappoint me because I won't ask for the stars.
If this is true, it's time for them to put out a truly great game. Sad to say, I'm not a fan of sports games, so I won't be buying unless it's truly quirky and isn't something I could just do by gathering a few friends and going outside.
This is MARIO KART, not Need for Speed, Forza, or Gran Turisimo. There are items that level the playing field. People who are professionals at normal drifting can still be affected should a stray green shell get in their path.
Sure, in Time Trials, it'll probably be necessary to learn Fire Hopping so you can get better times, but in regular races, I don't see how it will affect much.
The only exploits that should be patched are those that are really and truly broken like the Maka Wuhu glitch from Mario Kart 7 or Snaking from Mario Kart DS.
No. Okay, Ubisoft gave us Wii U owners the middle finger once again. With Assassin's Creed III and IV, at least we got the game on time. I think we even get DLC on those. But Rayman Legends? Remember how that was supposed to be exclusive? Remember how that got delayed so it could release on time with everything else? Remember losing features in Splinter Cell? Now we have a delay, and not just that, but at the very least, it will be several months behind the other versions.
By then, I could get the game on my 360 for $40! No. I'm getting the Wii U version, but Ubisoft isn't getting any scratch from me for it.
That isn't to say I won't support Ubisoft's proper efforts. If the next Assassin's Creed is on par, I'll grab that. Hell, I bought Child of Light the other day!
Multiple colors is okay, but I find it weird that people hold off on buying Nintendo consoles until they come in some gaudy color no one else wants, but buys the Sony or Microsoft consoles no matter how awkwardly shaped, or how bulky, or whatever. It's just weird...
I also don't really have an issue with my 8GB White Wii U. I chose white because my Wii was white and my accessories match. (Yay). If I ever need more space, I'll get an external hard drive. For now, I've got a 16GB flash drive plugged into the back and the Wii U can access the smaller games (Mighty Switch Force, Earthbound, and Trine 2 for example) from it. It's also holding my Assassin's Creed IV update data. I couldn't put the Mass Effect 3 update data on it, but still, with my memory mostly dedicated to save data, I'm good.
The "matte finish" argument that's been going on up above is one I can understand, but ultimately doesn't affect my gaming experience. When I'm done playing and I set my Wii U down, I notice all the "grime" and dirt the glossy finish has attracted, but mid-game, I'm more focused with what's on the screens.

(3) If you are a larger company or corporation and notice item 2 occurring, make perfectly sure you are not letting the information get out that Nintendo is doing something right and continue fanning the flames of item 1. And (4) If there are articles that are neither positive or negative about Nintendo, do whatever you can in the comments section to give the article a negative slant.
Nintendo posts $500 million dollar loss, everyone attacks Nintendo. Sony posts $1.2 billion dollar loss, it's fine because Sony has other divisions and the Playstation brand isn't affected by that.
Wii U has weak sales figures, outline how Nintendo is failing horribly and how they'll be out of the console race in the next few years. Xbox One has sales that literally hit a brick wall. Oh, it's fine.
Just so long as it's Nintendo style DLC and not BULLPOOPIEDOODLE DLC.
You know what I mean... "Here's the game for $60! Now hand over another $20 to get the second half of the courses. And another $10 to play as everyone other than Mario and Luigi. And how about an extra $20 for these two tracks!"
Preparing for the Best Worst Case Scenario... More information on Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire OR A new Mario game OR A new IP that's uninteresting (at first)
Preparing for the ABSOLUTE Worst Case Scenario... Nintendogs: Benny OR A sequel to that Baseball thing OR Flipnote Memo (seriously, I'll be mad if it actually DOES get released at this point).
Preparing for the BEST Case Scenario... Monolith Soft's title (and it's like Xenoblade) OR A new interesting looking IP OR Metroid
@ToastyYogurt There are three reasons people hate Metroid: Other M.
1. Some people expected this to be a Metroid Prime game and were disappointed when they weren't playing a first person shooter. We all know how popular the 7th generation of consoles made those...
2. Few people actually liked the portrayal of Samus's character. While I agree that her reaction to Ridley shouldn't have been at all what it was, her stoic attitude was the only thing I could expect out of a battle-hardened Samus. Samus following Adam's orders also make people upset because Samus is supposed to be extremely independent. I don't really see this as an issue because they were all working together on their mission and, knowing what kind of threat SAMUS poses to the ship itself, restrictions would be necessary.
3. People felt it was just a bad Metroid game, not necessarily a bad game overall. However, since it had the Metroid name attached and quite a few people found it mediocre, it was labeled as downright awful. Also, it supposedly cuts out the Prime series from the Metroid canon. And it's "too linear" although Fusion was basically the same except it was 2D.
@unrandomsam You're saying that companies should have dedicated servers for online for every system from now until the end of time. That would be an unnecessary waste of money, time, and energy after a point.
Fact of the Internet: If you defend Nintendo, you're a Nintendrone/fanboy/etc. If you criticize Nintendo at every turn, hate half of their products, and spout the same unfounded argument over and over again in a forum instead of playing games on a system you prefer or going to a fansite of your preferred company/system/etc., you are a normal person. LOGIC.
@tj3dsXL It's pretty great. It's a little weird because I hadn't played third person Resident Evil with dual analog control until then. Once I got used to it though, it worked out well. The walking animation can look a little funny at times if you start strafing, but otherwise, it's an enjoyable option to have that changes up the game a bit.
If you really want a shake up in Revelations, try using Gyro aim.
Just because the Wii U isn't selling well... Actually, it's keeping up pretty well with it's competitors.
Just because the Wii U doesn't have great momentum... Well... The other two are still running off of launch hype...
Just because everyone THINKS the Wii U is doing the worst, doesn't mean the Wii U will go away. As I've been told many times, the Wii wasn't the norm for Nintendo console sales, it was the exception. The N64 only sold 32 million units as compared to the PS1's 102 million. The GCN sold 21 million units next to the PS2's 155 million and the Xbox's 24 million. The Wii U will simply return to those numbers. Did Nintendo die after making either of these consoles? No. Did the consoles themselves die after certain decisions proved to make them less capable than the others? No.
Nintendo will pull through this and make incredible games while they're at it. Next generation, Nintendo will more than likely try something new again. Maybe they'll take another GCN approach and make something similar to the other consoles. Maybe they'll try to change the gaming scene once more with a different piece of tech.
I bought Black Ops II. It's fun. I play it whenever I get bored or don't feel like doing much in other games.
I hope the Wii U gets Advanced Warfare because every console needs games and I hope the GamePad can get some exclusive uses. Advanced technology has the potential to make the GamePad really shine.
@AG_Awesome I don't even want to respond to your post because of your "fanboy blinders" comment.
But you know, since you want a $100 Wii U without a GamePad, I guess you'll buy one 20 years from now when the price is that low and you'll just have to get a Pro Controller to play games.
Consumers should have a voice, but if they're delusional and idiotic demands, they have no reason to be heard.
If we're looking at another GCN/GBA generation, I say bring it on.
@AG_Awesome Dropping the GamePad isn't going to happen because that's the system's draw like motion controls were for the Wii. Saying it's not something people want is wrong because Microsoft announced SmartGlass the next year after the Wii U was announced and Sony piped up and said "We can do that, too" with the connection between the Vita and the PS3/4. Making the price $100 would only further give Nintendo losses because they'd be losing that much more with each system sold. Because of this, your idea is pretty bad. Otherwise, it looks like Nintendo is playing catch-up as opposed to trying something new.
@AJWolfTill And we understand this. However, his realistic lighting and decision to "HD-ify" any kind of Zelda scenery also carries the weight of having to embody that Zelda charm and grace.
@unrandomsam It could mean lower prices, but that's all subjective. People are upset now that SNES games cost $8 on the eShop. And it's not like used games kill Nintendo or something. In order for there to be used games, someone has had to buy it before.
Didn't the PSPGo ditch physical discs? I don't remember that selling well. And on top of that, there were a fair amount of games not available on the store with Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep being one I recall the most complained about. Also, no physical carts/disks means no used games...
That alone would kind of turn me off on a handheld...

@AG_Awesome
You're not worth my time. I'm done.
Re: Nintendo Looking To "Harvest" 3DS Success To Avoid An "Unacceptable" Fourth Year Of Losses
Re: Nintendo Looking To "Harvest" 3DS Success To Avoid An "Unacceptable" Fourth Year Of Losses
If we're looking at another GCN/GBA generation, I say bring it on.
@AG_Awesome
Dropping the GamePad isn't going to happen because that's the system's draw like motion controls were for the Wii.
Re: Nintendo Reports Financial Losses As Expected, Along With Modest Wii U Sales Targets
It's kind of funny to see so many people saying that the low projection numbers mean no big reveals or Nintendo not having faith in their games.
Whereas if they would have shot for a higher number, they'd be saying that it was unrealistic and that Nintendo needs to stop being so arrogant.

I don't even know how to respond to this article or the comments in it.
I'm just really sad right now.
Re: Here's a Video of The Temple of Time Made With Unreal Engine 4
@AJWolfTill And we understand this. However, his realistic lighting and decision to "HD-ify" any kind of Zelda scenery also carries the weight of having to embody that Zelda charm and grace.
Re: Here's a Video of The Temple of Time Made With Unreal Engine 4
@Yorumi The original, the GameCube collection, the 3DS remake, and the VC release.
I don't think that's quite enough to sink a ship...
Re: Here's a Video of The Temple of Time Made With Unreal Engine 4
Eh... I was a bit underwhelmed by this, too. It's too...generic.
This is the kind of art direction I would like in my HD Zelda. Stylized, the heart of the original, and interesting to look at.Personally, the art style of Twilight Princess with the polish Skyward Sword had would be perfect in my book.
Re: Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn Slam Dunks Its Funding Goal
Well, guess I'll wait and see some reviews before I think about dipping in.
Re: Talking Point: What We Want To See From Nintendo's Next Handheld
@unrandomsam It could mean lower prices, but that's all subjective.
People are upset now that SNES games cost $8 on the eShop.
And it's not like used games kill Nintendo or something. In order for there to be used games, someone has had to buy it before.
Re: Talking Point: What We Want To See From Nintendo's Next Handheld
Didn't the PSPGo ditch physical discs? I don't remember that selling well. And on top of that, there were a fair amount of games not available on the store with Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep being one I recall the most complained about. Also, no physical carts/disks means no used games...
That alone would kind of turn me off on a handheld...
