I called it unfortunately. This is CAPCOM at their laziest and to pay a premium just because it's a switch release is a joke. Especially as it's digital only. No physical cartridge release to up the digital price.

Would love to have the original trilogy in the go.
Though I am worried it's only the first game being announced. I can see it being priced at £15.99 like other CAPCOM games on e-shop.
Considering you can get the HD trilogy for under £10, this could get pricy to own all 3 on switch if they get released too.

Yeah unfortunately as it stands the customisation and progression are painfully slow. Thee krypt and especially the towers are broken and make getting anywhere motononus and frustrating affairs.
Thankfully netherelm are addressing this with a patch in the next few days and have already addressed the BS modifiers in towers so at least we can finally beat some of them.
Would love a shop to use the in-game currency to buy consumables as some towers I've got stuck on because I didn't have the right one.

Apart from that side of the game, it's a blast to play 😀 haven't stopped playing with friends since release.

I would very much like to think a game boy mini is coming for the holiday season.
After all it is it's 30th anniversary and the timing would be perfect to show it some love.

Retro city rampage was a very fun game and very much looking forward to shakedown Miami.
Looks great and definitely picking this up day one.

I sure hope so as alot of those games haven't been re released and would be wonderful to introduce to a whole new audience.

This is huge.
They have the Disney license and giving us these gems which haven't seen the light of day on mega drive/ genesis collections before.
SEGA are really not holding back on this. I was expecting pretty much the same library of games that have been published on various collections over the years but they are producing some surprises.

I think it's a decent line up.
Having the first 4 mainline games is a must imo.
But the adventure games....not do much.
Those spots should have gone to rondo of blood and symphony of the night.
Or if they really wanted to represent the handheld side of castlevania why not bring up the GBA and DS games. Dawn of sorrow would be an awesome addition.

Maybe konami are just looking at the original castlevania formula for this collection and maybe we can get a part 2 with the metroidvania games.
Now that would be epic.

Hopefully the new level can add something significantly different as playing the main game (especially the final level) burnt me out of replaying this game for a while now.
Definitely got my fingers crossed for no more heroes 3 after this and hell why not a sequel to shadows of the damned too. That level was a great surprise 😀

I thankfully was able to get the champions during the second restock and I have the wolf link amiibo (one of the best imo) with the Twilight Princess special edition they did.
Really wanting a restock of the second wave of the 30th anniversary amiibo. They would complete my Zelda collection and yes used for their purpose 😁

True but I feel Nintendo with their mini consoles has handled the lag quite well. Not perfect I know but as close as can be.
It's not all about lag but even graphics and the sound emulation as they can be horribly butchered too.
It all comes down to how much time and effort CAPCOM are willing to put into the emulation and making the necessary tweaks here and there to make sure it's as close to the original as can be.
Arcade emulation is hard to do but if they can pull it off and produce a quality product then I'll be a happy gamer.
They did well will the beat em up collection I feel so I have faith 🙂

I agree. I have very fond memories of alien Vs Predator and I stand by it's probably the best beat em up capcom ever made. Played it alot at my local arcade as a kid and long to play it again in an official release.
I'll buy this plug and play day one for sure......but only if it runs the games well. I do not want to be burned like I was with the Neo Geo plug and play last year.

Ok so a plug and play is still pretty cool.
I can see the price point being a turn off for most.
The big elephant in the room is will the roms be properly emulated as ALOT of these plug and plays have been massive disappointments as of late.
And I know the emulation would have been a thing to worry about if this was a console port too. But alot of people would be more forgiving for a download that costs less than a premium product.
Guess we will have to wait and see and time will tell and all that 😋

I just think that if you cannot release the full game (especially the base game) on any form of physical media then don't bother releasing it physically.
Yes it can help us save some memory on a micro SD card but at the end of the day they are not buying the game to own at that point. Just licencing it to play as you would a download only title so kinda pointless in my eyes.
But hey to each their own and if this is the case at least their are options on other consoles to purchase physically.
If others wish to download then by all means it's the preferred way of many to buy games.
It just sucks that we have to pay for the extra memory as the switch has hardly enough internal storage for big AAA games. Something I feel Nintendo will address with a revised switch like the much rumoured switch pro.
But hey we don't know if this is 100% fact yet.....though I'd say it's highly likely.

So unless WB studios are going to use the expensive 32gb cards then this is almost certainly gonna effect the base game physical release by having to download some of the game in order to play ☹️

Not a fan of dlc characters as I do prefer to have them all on the disc/cartridge. 13 dlc characters is normal for a netherelm fighter so I'll just wait for a complete edition of the game
More upset by the prospect of the 16gb day one patch. If they have made it so most of the game needs to be downloaded then what's the point of a physical cartridge. People who download games won't care and those who like to buy physical copies won't buy as the whole game isn't there.
But yes pinch of salt needed and hopefully this turns out to be false information.

Unfortunately I've played the original trilogy a few times so I can't justify the purchase.
But for new comers or anyone who's intrigued and enjoy ls a well thought out story and memorable characters then this is a must buy.
So satisfying to go to court and find the contradictions in statements and that music is just wonderful.
Also plenty of twists and the connection and story arch's over all three Games is so well done it might as well be one huge game alone.
This gets no objection from me 😁

Yes it was awesome to get the game first on switch, and having it ported to PC and even other consoles can only grow the fan base for this wonderful game.
And if it sells even more copies then square may make a sequel which benefits all.

Well Yoshi was on my list of weekend gaming but I've brought and started playing project high-rise......damn it's an addictive sim.
Learning how all the mechanics work and now trying not to be a slumlord lol.

Plus binding of Isaac updated so I'm diving back in to continue my quest to 100% the game. First unlocking the forgotten. Then the last 30 secrets.

So yeah....poor Yoshi I think will fall into the black hole of backlog I have.

It sounds so promising. Especially with M2 bringing the games over.

So happy Nintendo is showing this classic some love. This was the first Zelda game I owed and completed as a kid.
So many wonderful memories and I do look forward to what they can add to make this game better than it is.
I'm not a fan of its ascetic though I must admit. It looks kinda baron and basic graphically.
Still though this is an awesome surprise

Have to put my Nintendo down as Resident evil 2 remake has finally come out after so many years of wanting.
Dont worry Nintendo I'll be buying RE4 for the 5th time once CAPCOM release it

I say fair play to Nintendo on being honest and open with the consumer. They knew the hype was crazy for a new Metroid and do not want to disappoint. Especially with the reaction to federation force.
Retro studios are the perfect choice to develop and if it means starting from scratch I'm more than happy to wait.
Its a shame we will be waiting longer but hey theirs plenty of Metroid-vania games on switch to keep gamers going till release.

I still own and play the original trilogy from time to time and they still hold up.Its nice after so long to see Onimusha return in some form
Really hope this sells well and shows Capcom the series still has legs and we can get a brand new game in this series.

This is a great choice and fits with the other guest characters quite nicely.
Dragon quest games on NES were huge sellers in Japan so a representative would make total sense.

Its such a same the PS classic was a rush job. I had one pre ordered from the initial announcement but the more that was revealed, the less interested and hype I became.
Cancelled the pre order and I'm glad I did which is a shame as their definitely should be a representation of the Sony PlayStation with the quality of the NES and SNES classic.
Sony should have took its time, building an emulator in house to show off its games to their fullest potential. Instead all this product did was harm any good will the consumer if they do decide to revise or even bring out a PS2 classic.
God I hope the mega drive classic is better.

They are classics and wonderful games. I have very fond memories of monster world.
Such a shame but yes I will probably spring for a ps4 version now just for those games.

I'm afraid so. Both games I was so looking forward to replaying but are missing from the switch version and I don't think Sega has explained why yet.
I didn't think to check reviews before purchase because I assumed it was the exact Same collection....ah well
Still to have this collection portable, I still say its definitely worth it.
Also mine is the pal version but I think its the same as the ntsc vesion.

I got my copy early and I have to say this is a great collection of Sega games.
Enjoying going through some of my favourites and having fun playing some of the other regional versions, particularly bare knuckle 3
Only have two gripes.
No wonder boy 3 or wonder boy in monster world like the other versions :/
And I've noticed some button lag in certain games. Particularly sonic 2.
Nothing game breaking but its noticeable.
Still for £30 it's a steal
No virtual console, this is definitely the next best thing.

Its a great collection of retro games presented well.
Only disappointed by the lack of the wonder boy games which are present in other versions.
Despite that my inner 90's kid is having a blast with this
