Does this affect transferring from Wii U to Wii U? Or the same for 3DS? Got a spare for each you see. And I wonder if homebrew will work after Monday? Mostly for save backup function, and any new online way to play multiplayer in the future.

So how does this affect homebrew? I have yet to hack my spare 3DS and Wii U, but guess I have to do now? Purely for my own backups and any mods that are useful.

So I still have a lot of 3DS games sealed. Will Any patches be available after closure? Be a nightmare to have to open them all today and check each one lol

Thats the thing I am worried about as I have spare 3DS and Wii U (which is starting to have a worn out battery on gamepad after all these years). Would be a bit easier if we could transfer or backup our save data like the Wii allowed.

Yes I grabbed a few in the sale, but got two physical. The costs for the others was such a lot, I prefer getting the cartridge but its the next best thing. I will check out the themes, thanks! I only have on so far as a bonus from a game of theirs. Too many games not enough time lol!

@Guile Yes I only heard of one of those game here in Europe. Shame they do this. I tried one or two of the guild games and they were good. I liked that Etrian Odyssey games too, not sure if they will be taken off.

@Guile Yes it has been a bit drab. A few interesting sales in EU but mostly stuff thats already been promoted before. You never know, we have 7 months for some surprises.

Added enough to cover Fire Emblem Valentia and Breath of Wild DLC. I doubt they will do a FE DLC sale like they did with previous entries, but I got until February next year do it. Shame, I still play 3DS and Wii U (when I can), alongside PS4.

I must get back to playing at least Zombi U out of these. I had to stop playing COD Wii U online as there was so much hacking and cheats going on.

Shame the 3DS shop is closing, I still buy games there. Even though struggling with maximum titles, I can always find space for more.

I am one of those that has multiple 3DS's (one I need to replace nub as was in first batch where it was really taut, and original faulty internet slider).

Does anyone know if transfer to another 3DS is tied to the eshop somehow? If another defect comes up, but New 3DS seems to be where its at build quality wise I think.

Thought this day would come, shame as I still play both and still buy games on boths (prefer physical but a few are digital only). Better make sure I use my remaining credit before the closure

@RootsGenoa Does seem a bad move, but guess pandemic has changed a lot of decisions on distribution. Shame though, and that 3D is being scaled back. Mission Impossible Fallout 3D was awesome at the cinema, then Paramount announced no more 3D from them (including Bumblebee at the time).

@mobor I am in a similar situation to you of having spare 3DS, but you beat my 3 . I just wondered if backing up the actuals 3DS sd card in case of 3DS error is a waste of time then? I am not doing homebrew or anything, I perhaps intend to move to a spare 3DS via transfer if another C-nub breaks down or something. I also wonder if transfer of 3DS to 3DS will work if they close eshop globally? Not sure if it does check the account on line or if its off-line.

Currently playing this on 3DS, nice 3D effect and retro vibe. Hopefully they can make a nice port.

@NoTinderLife Thats cool thanks! Went there a few years ago and it worked great, will have to go back if they are still using it. Thought they might have phased it out. I probably only covered half of the Louvre, such a big museum.

I didn't use the discounts for Wii U and 3DS so much, but I did use most of the Gold Coins for free games. I hope they carry that on for a bit at least as I have a stash of coins left, but they haven't added any of those offers for two months or so

Its the only system where I have actually gone and bought spare units, so glad I did as they seem to be scarce in UK for brand new 3DS anyway. Best handheld for me hands down, without the 3D effect I wouldn't have bothered, but the 2DS is a good budget option for sure.

Shame as I still use on my Wii U, though I think it is buggy now as it seems to go sleep when I want to use the gamepad to control it and takes ages to show menu.

No motion controls, will stick to Wii version. Must try and complete last boss stage on hard mode somehow lol.

Long live the 3DS! Seriously though, its still a great handheld. I still have so many games to play through, I went a bit nuts last year and bought a spare 3DS and 3DS XL - maybe wasn't such a bad idea now they are not being made anymore.

8 years?! Wow goes so quick. Still playing mine as much if not more than when I first got the original 3DS. And still using the 3D slider, perhaps the main reason I got one really. Heres to another 8 years for me lol.

I play my Wii U a lot still, but couldn't get into this game. Shame for those that did though, makes me think I better get as much online play out of COD and other games before they close too.....

Great price for Metroid Prime Trilogy, brilliant games and perfect motion controls.

I agree, will skip this and the other new games without 3D, so annoying. Just finished Samus Returns last week, excellent game, worth replaying too.

Only recently got into this series, I am glad they are using 3D feature for this title, will be buying this as a result!

so dumb to not add 3D to a re-released game. Another one to cross off my list to buy. Shame.

Was definitely one of my fave Wii U games. I got literally a couple of crashes thats all, but still great for me. At least they made some effort to use Gamepad which I thought was a neat touch.

I am guessing the Wii U netflix app will still be working? Shutting down for the Wii makes sense perhaps, as it doesn't do HD anyway. But some people will miss it I bet.

Who is getting offended by this? I have an affinity with Native American history, and like to read up on it and even go to a local annual Powwow event. They have been treated like crap and still are, but a cartoon depiction from an older game causing offence is total nonsense.
If this is the future of gaming then its not looking good. If I had this on preorder I would cancel too, this PC stuff is going too far.

Me too! Its crazy they completely forget the 3DS. It makes sense in a way they produce a cheaper version without the 3D just to milk it as much as its worth as a business move, but its sad times for sure.

Still play mine every day. Wish they would push the New 3DS only stuff, don't think we have had enough excusives / better use of it.
