Tried the demo and surprisingly playable even with my wifi, though pretty much in low-res. Hilariously, they didn't even bother making a proper demo. Literally the full game with a time limit so by the time I was done watching the opening movie, intro and just about to pick the adventure type in the Dive to the Heart the demo ended
Going by previous trends that means the next generation after Switch will be an underwhelming one for Nintendo, but not necessarily a bad thing for us since when Nintendo's the underdog they play nice, when they're winning they get uppity and anti-consumer
If a full reboot means revamping existing characters with outdated movesets with as much love as DLC characters then sure. Characters like Mario, Link and Samus could use an update featuring their modern games' new abilities while characters like Wario feature very little from their origin games
I got Octopath in 2018 but only properly started playing it again recently and it's pretty good. Will definitely be looking into this too once it's out
Those accusatory words are thrown around so casually on anything these days I unfortunately see them in less weight when used on a real situation like this that actually merits it
Game's already pretty easy on Normal really, especially compared to the previous games. They give you a lot of healing items from the start of each chapter so you're pretty much never gonna die outside one or two sections where running into the boss is an instant game over
Been playing handheld exclusively for years, so much so that I held off on the Switch in case a handheld successor to 3DS would come out so they'd better keep some kind of handheld around moving forward, though I wouldn't worry about that since Japan will make sure they do
Was actually looking forward to getting this after staying away since the original SM, but the more I read about this the less interested I get. How do they keep making 1 step forward and 3 steps back?
Maybe it's because he may have to step back soon that he doesn't want to just redo the old stuff. It's his final years to make new things before the inevitable retirement
I've always wanted a KH Theatrhythm and here it is I complain about everybody asking for leftovers, but I wanted Persona 5 over that Musou game so I don't have a leg to stand on I guess
Create the problem, sell the solution. Everything they're offering are things we've had for free in older games. I had chalked everything we've seen so far to Gamefreak's sheer technical incompetence as developers and almost felt sorry for them having to deal with the negativity surrounding SWSH, but looking at this I'm starting to believe they really are just trying to monetize as much as the little effort they're putting in
Nintendo is fine the way they are now. Power corrupts, and if Nintendo were to gain as much influence as modern Disney I'm sure even they would succumb to becoming exactly what modern Disney is now
How'd you guys draw that kind of conclusion? They've been ramping up on marketing more and we already know from interviews as early as the first half of this year that so to suggest it's been done as a response to Spiderman all of a sudden is just incendiary and reeks of clickbait
Malaysian here but... Nintendo's barely known much here. Well, Mario's universal so that kinda negates that anyway. I've already got Figuarts Mario preordered though.
Aw man, definitely getting Lufia: The Legend Returns. It's not a bad game at all, it's a pretty standard JRPG which the GBC did not have much of that the time. Has some pretty great music too.

Re: 5% Of Capcom Acquired By Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund
To be fair SNK does look to be doing better since they were acquired by the Saudi investor and they don't seem to be doing any weird censorship
Re: Nintendo Switch Has Now Outsold Both The Wii And PlayStation
Going by the usual Nintendo trend however that means they get cocky and complacent and screw up the following generation
