Re: Talking Point: Is The Castlevania Series Finished With Nintendo?

Man, I want Igavania back. I played the 3 DS ones and a few of the GBA ones a lot in high school back in the mid to late 2000's. It's a great shame that they're done with it now and there's not exactly many similar Metroidvanias with the item/weapon/ability collecting aspect even among indies. Maybe I should just go and get a copy of Portrait of Ruin to play on 3DS.

People paid for a new Megaman from Keiji Inafune, so it's understandable that everybody's getting so mad with this sudden development that was not under the terms when they donated. Forcing your political views on something that wasn't even your original idea is completely unnecessary, actually nevermind that forcing it on a game that doesn't even need any sort of political crap is completely unnecessary.

I've liked the games and really really enjoy the concept, but I hope they could rehaul the battle system into something more generic JRPG-ish. I'm not fond of the point-based attack requirements. The inactive allies stat bonuses/decrements could be retained, but just doing away with the points would make it a lot more enjoyable, maybe even making it feel like Rotation Battles in Pokemon.

Huh, the save backup is interesting. I guess it's for when you transfer systems since I heard previously system transfer does not transfer the save file as well. I've backed up the save for all my downloaded games anyway.

Re: Reggie: Nintendo Aiming To Increase Wii U Third Party Support By Boosting The Install Base

Multiplats are a tough case. Wii/Wii U's always been left out of the 3 system multiplat thing compared to GC which enjoyed multiplats with PS2 and Xbox back in the day, mainly because its lower specs make it less favorable or maybe harder to port. There's also the case of the Wii/Wii U version being modified to suit the controller but most third party devs just do a half assed job on that or fail to fully take advantage resulting in a worse version of the game.

@LordessMeep
I'm from Malaysia haha, I just went to the main site and sent a report to the customer service, then they emailed me asking for a police report and my old and new 3DS serial number. I sent the scanned report and details to them and they responded with the Club Nintendo game codes and $20 (which I wasn't actually informed on, there was suddenly $20 on my new 3DS eShop account to my surprise). I actually lost a game card with the 3DS but they only helped with the digital stuff obviously.

I'm not sure how often they get overseas issues like mine but I think it might be harder to get help with this sort of thing now (whether local or foreign) after this rep just clarified the stance on the issue, so better just keep your 3DS away from grubby pick pockets.

Nintendo of US helped me with this issue just a few months ago. My 3DS with the Club Nintendo reward games and $20 worth of eShop games was stolen and they gave me the download codes for the Club Nintendo games and even put in $20 in my new 3DS' eShop account. I'm not even a US citizen, I live in Asia and was using the Club Nintendo services since my unit was a US unit. They did shut down my Club Nintendo account since it was meant for US and Canadian citizen use, but it was awfully considerate of them to even help me with my problem at that time.
