@AmplifyMJ I did not know he worked with Michael Jackson. Editor Gavin Lane mentioned that he’s going to watch Wild at Heart which is probably one of his most accessible films. There is a rabbit hole for you to go down if you are a fan of avant-garde films. Extremely influential guy. His supernatural detective series Twin Peaks was the inspiration for the Deadly Premonition series.

@FishyS Thank you! I really liked the director David Lynch and I just feel sad he passed. For me personally things are going really well I just meant that it feels like it’s been nothing but bad news (in the news). Yes!!! It will be exciting to see what kind of fitness games they come up with for Switch 2. I just hope it’s on par with the quality or beyond of Ring Fit.
@Yalloo Hahaha Thank you! Totally. I wouldn’t mind at all if it looped infinitely! Hmm I might take a look at custom mode. I will absolutely miss some of those exercises, like leg lifts for instance, that I feel zero motivation to do outside of that game.
Thank you for the supportive words and for all your sharing about your Ring Fit experiences! I don’t think I’ve ever played a game so diligently through the years.

I was going to wait for Ring Fit Adventure 2 to be announced but I might cave and get one right away for Halo/Elden Ring/etc.
I’m kinda disappointed that Ring Fit won’t be compatible due to the new joy cons not being able to slot into the ring but as long as they’re working on a new fitness game it’s fine. It’ll definitely make it tough to put the Switch into storage though…

Ring Fit Adventure - I’m working towards finishing the post post game and then I’ll probably be starting back at the beginning with the challenge cranked up to account for my character’s level.
I’ve bounced off of literally everything else I’ve tried playing so I’m just going to keep playing Ring Fit. 🤷🏼

Ring Fit Adventure - It feels great to be back on this and workouts after being sick for a bit. The more time I spend away from it the harder it gets because my muscles have to relearn some of the movements.
I picked up Ace Combat 7 so I might have a go. I used to play it back when I had a ps4 so I know what an excellent game it is. I’m interested to see how well it runs on switch.

@JohnnyMind Happy Birthday! Have fun with your family!

Happy New Year Nintendolife staff and community! No real gaming resolutions other than not to pressure myself whether I feel like gaming or not.
I’m looking forward to the follow up to Ring Fit Adventure and maybe playing some big games that passed the Switch by in the last few years.

Ring Fit Adventure.

I am finishing up the last two worlds in the post post game and then I may be ready to make Fitness Boxing 3 my go-to fitness game after it comes out next week. I’m curious if that can happen considering my connection with Ring Fit but we’ll see.
I have to take my cat in to put him down later today. Between taking care of my baby and my toddler and work over the weekend I don’t feel like there’s time to properly mourn him. But I’m mourning him regardless.

@AG_Awesome Yes! Totally, I love ring fit and home workouts too!
Fitness Circuit has been very addictive for the folks I’ve chatted with here. The movements are a lot different from those in ring fit and definitely cardio and core based in my experience with less of the strength building exercises in ring fit.
There is a demo for the game that gives you a good idea of what it’s about.
Truthfully for me, ring fit will always be the pinnacle but I enjoy games like this and the fitness boxing series that offer something a little bit different.

Ring Fit Adventure. I’d like to finish up the current post game I’m working on before Fitness Boxing 3 comes out but if not no biggie.

I keep trying other non-fitness games and just bouncing off them hard so I think I’m going to stop trying. I am looking forward to Fitness Boxing 3. I hope that Fitness Circuit goes on sale on the eshop soon.

@Theghostofkeithmoon lol right on. Yeah, that one isn’t exactly ambient is it? Do you still listen to RDJ? What are your favorite tracks?

@Rainz The author of Metro 2033 is a huge critic of Putin and had to flee Russia in order to avoid prison. That and the game being developed by a Ukrainian developer makes me think that he isn’t a fan.

Re: Exclusive: Leikir Studio Takes Us On A Visual Tour Of Metal Slug Tactics

I hope this is cool. I really dig that it’s a roguelike/lite. It fits the arcade nature of Metal Slug. I wanted to love Unicorn Overlord but it was just too much for me: mechanically, dialogue, new characters and everything. I’d appreciate something much simpler right now.

Also, I really would like a cool new game to play to zone out the news a little bit this week.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (21st September)

Ring Fit Adventure: I’m approaching the end of the post game and I’m interested to see what happens and create new goals for myself.
Cannon Dancer: This is a strange and worthy sequel to Strider. I don’t appreciate that it makes me murder tigers.

I am interested in playing Yakuza: Kiwami next month. LaD was the first game in a long time to actually make me laugh. I’m also hoping for a Switch release for UFO 50.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (14th September)

Ring Fit Adventure: I’m making good progress in the post game. I got to get a day in the gym earlier in the week that I still feel welcomely sore from. It’s dawned on me that an old shoulder injury no longer wants me to attempt pike push ups. Pull ups, UCV raises, and bicep curls with mechanical drop sets are going well.
I’ll probably be signing off because Ring Fit Adventure has become the only game that I have any interest in playing. I can’t wait to see what Nintendo is going to create for their next fitness game on the switch successor.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (7th September)

Ring Fit Adventure: I’ve started working on the titles I have left to obtain. Some exercises I avoided in the past I now feel like I have a better understanding of the body mechanics to perform correctly so that feels like progress.
Fitness Circuit demo: Yeah, this game is a great workout. I’ve never been a circuit training or super circuit kind of person and I’m seeing the benefit of this style of training. Great full body workouts and a nice change of pace from RFA. I will be purchasing this game when it goes on sale or I’m flush with cash.
