@AmplifyMJ I did not know he worked with Michael Jackson. Editor Gavin Lane mentioned that he’s going to watch Wild at Heart which is probably one of his most accessible films. There is a rabbit hole for you to go down if you are a fan of avant-garde films. Extremely influential guy. His supernatural detective series Twin Peaks was the inspiration for the Deadly Premonition series.
@FishyS Thank you! I really liked the director David Lynch and I just feel sad he passed. For me personally things are going really well I just meant that it feels like it’s been nothing but bad news (in the news). Yes!!! It will be exciting to see what kind of fitness games they come up with for Switch 2. I just hope it’s on par with the quality or beyond of Ring Fit. @Yalloo Hahaha Thank you! Totally. I wouldn’t mind at all if it looped infinitely! Hmm I might take a look at custom mode. I will absolutely miss some of those exercises, like leg lifts for instance, that I feel zero motivation to do outside of that game. Thank you for the supportive words and for all your sharing about your Ring Fit experiences! I don’t think I’ve ever played a game so diligently through the years.
Well I beat the post post game of Ring Fit Adventure and now I feel like I can step back from it. I haven’t felt inspired to play anything else lately so I think I’m going to take a break from gaming and do more reading and weight-based training.
RIP David Lynch
What a f***ed year this has been.
I was going to wait for Ring Fit Adventure 2 to be announced but I might cave and get one right away for Halo/Elden Ring/etc.
I’m kinda disappointed that Ring Fit won’t be compatible due to the new joy cons not being able to slot into the ring but as long as they’re working on a new fitness game it’s fine. It’ll definitely make it tough to put the Switch into storage though…
Ring Fit Adventure - I’m working towards finishing the post post game and then I’ll probably be starting back at the beginning with the challenge cranked up to account for my character’s level. I’ve bounced off of literally everything else I’ve tried playing so I’m just going to keep playing Ring Fit. 🤷🏼
Ring Fit Adventure - It feels great to be back on this and workouts after being sick for a bit. The more time I spend away from it the harder it gets because my muscles have to relearn some of the movements.
I picked up Ace Combat 7 so I might have a go. I used to play it back when I had a ps4 so I know what an excellent game it is. I’m interested to see how well it runs on switch.
@JohnnyMind Happy Birthday! Have fun with your family!
Happy New Year Nintendolife staff and community! No real gaming resolutions other than not to pressure myself whether I feel like gaming or not. I’m looking forward to the follow up to Ring Fit Adventure and maybe playing some big games that passed the Switch by in the last few years.
I am finishing up the last two worlds in the post post game and then I may be ready to make Fitness Boxing 3 my go-to fitness game after it comes out next week. I’m curious if that can happen considering my connection with Ring Fit but we’ll see. I have to take my cat in to put him down later today. Between taking care of my baby and my toddler and work over the weekend I don’t feel like there’s time to properly mourn him. But I’m mourning him regardless.
@AG_Awesome Just to keep your expectations in check, it’s not approaching anything as polished, cohesive, or gamified as ring fit. Master trainer Peter on youtube has a great breakdown on it.
@AG_Awesome Yes! Totally, I love ring fit and home workouts too! Fitness Circuit has been very addictive for the folks I’ve chatted with here. The movements are a lot different from those in ring fit and definitely cardio and core based in my experience with less of the strength building exercises in ring fit. There is a demo for the game that gives you a good idea of what it’s about. Truthfully for me, ring fit will always be the pinnacle but I enjoy games like this and the fitness boxing series that offer something a little bit different.
@Yalloo Oh, what I really meant was I’m bouncing off of games that aren’t fitness games. I’ve been playing Ring Fit for years as well and it’s not gotten old.
Ring Fit Adventure. I’d like to finish up the current post game I’m working on before Fitness Boxing 3 comes out but if not no biggie.
I keep trying other non-fitness games and just bouncing off them hard so I think I’m going to stop trying. I am looking forward to Fitness Boxing 3. I hope that Fitness Circuit goes on sale on the eshop soon.
@Theghostofkeithmoon lol right on. Yeah, that one isn’t exactly ambient is it? Do you still listen to RDJ? What are your favorite tracks?
@Rainz The author of Metro 2033 is a huge critic of Putin and had to flee Russia in order to avoid prison. That and the game being developed by a Ukrainian developer makes me think that he isn’t a fan.
Fighting nazis and mutants under Moscow in ranger mode is not as horrifying as sleep training my youngest baby with my wife tonight. It’s all in the name of being able to sleep through the night though and it’s the good fight.
I hope this is cool. I really dig that it’s a roguelike/lite. It fits the arcade nature of Metal Slug. I wanted to love Unicorn Overlord but it was just too much for me: mechanically, dialogue, new characters and everything. I’d appreciate something much simpler right now.
Also, I really would like a cool new game to play to zone out the news a little bit this week.
It’s nice to see such an improvement in graphics because really the game doesn’t have much to animate. I will definitely be playing this when it comes out.
Is there an easy difficulty setting? With very limited playtime between kids and work I don’t have much patience for frustrating difficulty. Also, one of my biggest concerns is reports of performance issues and a possible memory leak. But, it sounds playable I guess so I’m going to give it a try.
@Ganner Congratulations!! I live there and I highly recommend doing a hike at Haleakalā Crater. Or driving up there and checking it out at least. Enjoy your time on Maui with your partner!
@BIG3 nice… I really like the combat and style of persona but the high school setting is not my bag. I’m interested in the trippy medieval/fantasy setting they seem to be going for with that one. I hope it’s successful so it’ll develop into its own series.
@BIG3 how are you liking the Metaphor demo? I only have a switch so it’ll be a bit of a wait until atlus puts it on the switch 2. I’m a bit envious of those that are playing it now. I watched some of the demo and that UI player phase/enemy phase animation is so cool. 😆
@Ganner okay you’ve piqued my interest about Snowrunner. Seems like it could have a zen-like quality and would be cool paired with listening to some books on audible. How does it run on switch?
@anoyonmus lol totally. Yeah I bet you’re right about 0. It would make sense for them to do it next in story order. I love the turn based games and I guess that’s what I meant by LaD. I want to play Infinite Wealth on the Switch 2.
Ring Fit Adventure: I’m approaching the end of the post game and I’m interested to see what happens and create new goals for myself.
Cannon Dancer: This is a strange and worthy sequel to Strider. I don’t appreciate that it makes me murder tigers.
I am interested in playing Yakuza: Kiwami next month. LaD was the first game in a long time to actually make me laugh. I’m also hoping for a Switch release for UFO 50.
Speaking of Vita monster hunter-likes...if they remastered Soul Sacrifice Delta I would be so down. It was a bit repetitive but damn it had the craziest atmosphere and story.
Ring Fit Adventure: I’m making good progress in the post game. I got to get a day in the gym earlier in the week that I still feel welcomely sore from. It’s dawned on me that an old shoulder injury no longer wants me to attempt pike push ups. Pull ups, UCV raises, and bicep curls with mechanical drop sets are going well. I’ll probably be signing off because Ring Fit Adventure has become the only game that I have any interest in playing. I can’t wait to see what Nintendo is going to create for their next fitness game on the switch successor.
@PJOReilly I’ll probably use my money for the Marvel collection and play some of those games I haven’t beaten yet anyway (I’ve only finished Immortal Redneck out of those three). Thank you for the review! I’ll pick this up down the road after some patches on sale. 👍
This is such a letdown. I loved Void Bastards too and rogue-adjacent fps games like that and Immortal Redneck and City of Brass have such an intriguing and addictive style to me.
Ring Fit Adventure: I’ve started working on the titles I have left to obtain. Some exercises I avoided in the past I now feel like I have a better understanding of the body mechanics to perform correctly so that feels like progress.
Fitness Circuit demo: Yeah, this game is a great workout. I’ve never been a circuit training or super circuit kind of person and I’m seeing the benefit of this style of training. Great full body workouts and a nice change of pace from RFA. I will be purchasing this game when it goes on sale or I’m flush with cash.

@PushMyGran86 I’d be surprised if that’s true because the new joycons are longer and have a different connecting system. But I hope they will!

I would LOVE to have Kokuga on Switch.
