Re: Professional Fortnite Player Gets Banned For Life After Uploading Videos Of Himself Cheating

@WiltonRoots - It should be the thumbnail for every Sw/Sh article. Maybe the cover on the game box too. They should work in a pic of the deeply satisfied manchild with an over sized Pikachu plush as well.

@HobbitGamer - The internet gods looked down upon us and smiled favorably with this one. It was going so great yesterday, I couldn’t resist sprinkling a little gasoline here and there.

Re: Review: Dragon Quest - A Classic JRPG Marred By Odd Choices And Technical Issues

@sdelfin - Ha, that’s a funny story. At least you got to see the ending that way. I bet your friend was glad you could help, but also secretly resented it a bit. I always heard the final fight was super difficult. Instant sweaty palms when I’d encounter the gold monster. He packed a wallop, but so much goooold. It didn’t matter half the time anyway because I’d usually get taken out in a random encounter on my way to save. That was a great promotion. Blew my mind to get a NES cart for free in the mail. My NP sub was my birthday gift for years.

Got this for free when I re upped my Nintendo Power subscription back in the day. I enjoyed it, but even with the included guide; I could never get more than about halfway through. It was definitely a thrill to stumble across the gold monster. Sometime I’ll dig out the cart and see if the internal battery still lives. Agree with everyone and the reviewer that the re drawn characters look disgusting.

Re: Review: Fight'N Rage - Who Said The Side-Scrolling Brawler Is Dead?

@NotTelevision - Just a brutal section for sure. Akin to platforming in DD in its ability to induce rage. I was always able to clear it by looking towards the top of the screen instead of directly at the path ahead. The same trick worked for me against Tyson in Punch Out too. I doubt BTs will ever be in the app, but maybe as a stand-alone or compilation release? I’d bite.

Re: Untitled Goose Game Is Out Now, And You Can Buy It Cheap For A Limited Time

@Anti-Matter - Ha, I made that up, but I guess I can’t say for certain as I haven’t played it yet. While it’s unlikely, I guess there’s a chance, like Buster Douglas in Tokyo in 1988.

@HobbitGamer - Yeah, looks like a fun way to unwind. I can’t wait for the review, though it’s hard to imagine there would be anything that would sway me against it at this point. Jerk simulator, here I come!

Re: Gallery: Here's What The Nintendo Switch Lite Looks Like

bimmy-lee

@WiltonRoots - I’m replying to you from my holodeck. I can barely make out what the Lite looks like because it’s sub 5,000 frames. Just looks like a Game Boy to me. Does it even have a screen? If this thing gets SNES games before Switch Pro, I’m gonna freak out all over the Internet.

Re: My Friend Pedro Clears 250,000 Sales Across Switch And PC In Its Opening Week

I was going to grab this right away, but I was put off by the control scheme in the review. The reviewer stated that the slow motion/bullet time is initiated by clicking the stick down, and while the actions are mappable; the reviewer stated that other button options are awkward. Anyone else figured out a way to play this competently without the dreaded stick click?

Re: Random: Playing Zelda: Breath Of The Wild Sequel's Trailer In Reverse Is Absolutely Terrifying

@Reigestugatensho - Yeah, duality is a big theme in most of the LOZ games I’ve played. Even beyond the good vs evil theme. There’s almost always an opposite for everything. Most characters display some kind of dual nature, especially Link. The hero of time is in an infinite loop. A circle. I wouldn’t be surprised if this game has the same map as BOTW, but now we can also explore the sky and below the dirt.
