Oh well, it’ll be a better game in 2023. Just give me my Turtles games so I can obsess over them properly, and I’ll be ready for Hyrule early next year.

@ogo79 - I have an instant reaction vid on BumbleTube from MONTHS ago where I did every reaction possible to this, including happy and sad crying. I’m well known on that app for being the FIRST to cry about this game, so don’t even try to muscle in on my corner.

Just gimme the dates. Might go physical on this, but not if I have to wait a single second to play it, you hear me Bezos??? I want it NOW.

I think the last time I could see music on my Switch was when I was making it outta people splatter as a silverback gorilla. I’m in sometime for this.

This is just about everything I’ve ever wanted in a game, just need the review to confirm it’s good. It’s priced up there in the River City Girls range for beat em ups on Switch, but I’m fine with that if it offers a similar level of quality. I’m always one to wait for a sale, but this might be my third full price digital game this year after Windjammer 2 and River City Girls 0.

We were disappointed with the first Yoshi set. Yoshi is a fraction of the size of Mario, and he doesn’t have a chip to make Yoshi noises. All the other sets have been really cool, but they could have done much better by Yoshi in my opinion. Looks to be the same Yoshi in the new set.

Wow, that’s a beautiful set! My son has been collecting these for a while, and now my daughter will be excited to get in on the action. She’s been asking when a Peach set would come out for the last year. That’s pretty loaded with additional characters by the set standards. This one looks like it will be in line price wise with the other big sets like Bowser’s Castle and the airship.

@Bret @nessisonett - Thanks, I’ll look them up sometime, I’m very curious about which fights have random actions in them. I’m guessing maybe King Hippo might be one if his open headshots aren’t a pattern. I do remember NL posting something like this a few years ago, possibly Matt Turk’s record. I never look directly at Tyson because he has false tells and if you dodge at nothing, you’re on the mat a split second later. I look at the crowd above him and wait for him to flash pink and green. Super Macho Man is my toughest fight.

Wouldn’t it be possible to actually max out the fastest clear time for this game? Could this guy set an unbreakable record with a no hit run? All the opponents actions can be accounted for making the entire game a single pattern to memorize. Not saying it would be easy, but seems this fella could whittle the clear time down to unbreakable. The only thing I’ve never understood is why Little Mac can sometimes throw faster combos, so I’m not sure if that’s a variable or something that occurs at certain times and places in a match.

I’m always a fan of baby mustaches. My kids watch Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s and 90s with commercials on YT on... Saturday mornings, and there’s almost always a Nintendo ad or two. Last weekend it was a cool commercial for Metroid on Gameboy and Samus came out of the screen to hang with the kids playing Gameboy. She was just a fairly cheap looking prop though, and her head was wobbling back and forth like a bobble head. Good stuff.

I like my Batmen purple.

Leatherman tools are not supposed to REPLACE any of your existing tools, they’re an all in one emergency tool to be used in a pinch, jeez! That was a completely unfair analogy, and it diminishes the rugged handiness of the Leatherman tool. 0/10, Leatherman DISPRAPROVED!

Can’t wait to try a run this weekend. I like that we can switch between all four characters on the fly, this isn’t a common bmup mechanic from the game’s original era. What a nice little treat to hold us over until the RCG2 (or Shredder’s Revenge, whatever comes first).

So happy I get to roll River City trash with my girls multiple times this year that I could almost barf. The retro options available on Switch are incredible, especially if you enjoy a good beat em up.

@OldManHermit - All I need is a whiff of Muramasa and I’m interested. This one definitely has it, been looking forward to it since last spring, but I have a bit too much on my gaming plate at the moment to dive in.

Definitely excited to play this one, and super hyped to play RCG2 later this year. Great year for bmups on Switch with Shredder’s Revenge coming as well.

Just noticed it and added to the wishlist last night. The title and cover art are so bad that I HAD to take a look and was very surprised at how good it actually looks in motion.

Honestly, I knew you wrote this before I clicked, and yet I’m still left surprised in learning about crop milk. Good stuff.

As a dad, I always have a little crop milk at the ready, I learned this early on. Mine tastes like pizza and candy bars, and my kids love it.

This is beautiful, it has a bit of a claymation quality to it that I love. I’m good with ditching the cel shading if a new aesthetic is applied. I’d definitely play this again, top three LOZ title in my opinion.

@Crono1973 - You’re one of the most miserable people on the internet, which is a staggering achievement. You have no original thought and only snipe on other people’s comments to push one of just a couple gamer tropes on repeat. It must be really sad and lonely in that basement.

Digital is fine for me, but this really is one of the indie gems available on Switch. If you need physical to finally play it, part the tides to get this in your collection.

@Znake - Haha, you got me! I was disappointed reading that article today, “Grand Upper” is a much better name in my opinion. NL could probably do an entire article on what people thought the characters were saying in SOR2.

Wow, this is very sad. It’s somehow more disheartening that it’s not even pandemic related. Just regular life killing off more iconic arcades. I wonder if we’ll get a nice piece from Roland out of this.

I always look forward to these additions, especially if I haven’t played or even heard of them. I just wish they were more regular, and included more NES games. I don’t care for the special editions at all. I’d much rather have some obscure NES title over save state SMB3.

Gotta be either Glass Joe or the hoverbike section of Battletoads solely because I usually blew through half my lives and continues on that section. It’s probably Glass Joe, but I played both games multiple times a week for years as a youngster.

I think it’s been fixed for a while now. I’m not opening mine up, but the replacement set I got from NOA when I sent my OG neons in 1.25 years ago are of higher quality, the shells are snug and don’t squeak like the old set, and most importantly; they don’t drift and definitely would by now (I’m hard on sticks). The pink/green set I bought at that time are the same way, much higher quality than the originals.

Just did the update but still can’t get the DLC. I’m using the NA eShop. Why not make the DLC pack available for purchase on the eShop like all other DLC? Why be forced to go through the game? It’s like the button to go to the eShop from the game is broken.

Edit - @Knuckles - Up+B is one of the ways to unlock Roo in SOR3 on the Genesis/MD. The other way is to trigger the secret mid boss fight and beat Roo’s trainer without beating Roo. I’ve tried every weird thing possible in Barbon’s level to get Roo to come out from behind the bar, but it just doesn’t seem to be a method in SOR4 unless something changes with the DLC, so it appears Up+B is the only way.
