@Grimlock_King Yeah I'd easily spend $40 on a physical copy of the game, but I'm not interested in buying it digitally for $20. Digital items just don't have nearly the same value that physical products do, in my eyes.
@TruenoGT That's exactly where I'm at as well. I may still pick up the Wiiware version... someday. I can't see the 3DS version controlling as well or running as smoothly as it did on the Wii.
Well I think they're doing the right thing. I mean, do you know how many people own a Wii U basic model with unupgraded memory? There are hundreds....... literally, hundreds.
Well that's just dumb. 3D is a great feature, especially for games with three-dimensional gameplay; it makes the world feel so much more alive and immersive. My interest in FF Explorers just plummeted.
Yep, the Wiimote and Nunchuk is the best controller ever conceived. In terms of ergonomics, functionality, versatility, and pure fun factor, other controllers can only dream of matching it. It makes me sick to see so many Wii U titles ignore the Wiimote when they would have been vastly improved by supporting it.
Any word on Wiimote + Nunchuk support? It should be mandatory for games like this. Joystick aiming is too slow and inaccurate for the controls to be suitable for my tastes, which is why I won't be buying this if it doesn't support pointer aiming with the Wiimote.
Congrats RCMADIAX, you're almost literally a prostitute. If scamming uninformed consumers out of their money with a game you "developed" using an automatic Flappy Birds clone generator is your idea of how to make a living, good on you.
@MadAdam81 Gonna be hard for Xbone to catch up to Wii U at all, let alone pass it by millions of units, when it's been selling worse than Wii U on a worldwide basis ever since Mario Kart 8 came out. The combined US + Japan sales are roughly equal, with the Wii U's ~50k monthly sales in Media Create cancelling out the 'Bone's lead in the NPD, and the 'Bone has been a total flop throughout Europe, allowing the Wii U to surpass it there as well.
And yet they're releasing it on the Xbox One and Playstation Vita, two platforms which have smaller install bases and currently have slower worldwide sales than the Wii U. More hypocrisy and fanboyism from third party developers.
I don't think you should ignore a game's price when deciding its score. Even if this game had good gameplay, if the price tag does not match the amount of value the game offers, the score should suffer as a result.
For a game that got such good critic reviews, Gone Home sure does seem to be reviled by pretty much every gamer who played it on Steam, based on the user review section. Industry corruption in action?
I hope they come up with something that has a more interesting gameplay concept than Steamworld Dig. That game seems to have a lot of polish and shows off the developer's talent, but the gameplay just seemed so boring and repetitive, and with no demo to convince me otherwise I was forced to pass on the game.
I never played the arcade version of this game, but I was so impressed by the 3D trailer on the eShop that I immediately bought the game for my JP 3DS. I like the game — it's short, but very sweet. If the difficulty of these games is a detractor for you, you should know that the unlockable mode is fairly easy to get a 1CC clear on with the default settings. You start with three lives, but you earn a ton of extra lives at the end of each stage.
Sony and MS consoles are not worth owning because they do not offer anything that can't be done 100 times better on PC. PC+ Nintendo console is the only combination that makes sense from a gamer's perspective.
Aside from the 50hz issue, the PAL version of this game had several cuts which make it inferior to the Japanese release. Very poor decision by Konami to not release the JP version instead.
The character models are the only thing that benefits from releasing this in HD. The prerendered backgrounds are exactly the same as they were on the Gamecube and Wii versions.
Nintendo really needs to step in and stop stupid crap like this game and The Letter from being released. Games like these are giving the eShop a bad name.
I skipped PS3 and Xbox 360 last gen, and it looks like I'm going to be skipping PS4 and Xbox One this gen. They don't appear to have anything that suits my gaming tastes, just more of the same crap that they gave us last gen.
@Thulfram The latter, they're made by Silver Star Japan and published by Agetec. I believe that the Rabi Laby series is actually quite popular in Japan. I think I read on Silver Star's website that the series has sold over 100,000 units, but I may be remembering incorrectly.
Don't write off Rabi Laby! The first two, along with the spin-off 3DS game Witch's Cat, are some of the best puzzle-platformers out there. If you like head-scratching puzzle games whose mechanics are much deeper than they first appear, give it a shot!
They should start a campaign to raise awareness. It could easily get the extra sales it needs with a small push. Worst case, they could do a contest to give away a few hundred extra copies. I remember the developer of some crappy Robin Hood game did this.
@SecondServing If you played any shooters on the Wii and failed to notice the massive increase in control accuracy versus dual analog, you're about as perceptive as Helen Keller.

Re: Nintendo Download: 16th October (North America)
Papercraft actually looks pretty cool. Gonna need a demo to convince me it's actually worth buying, though.
Re: The Legend of Dark Witch Unleashes On The North American 3DS eShop Next Week
Looks like fun! I'll take this at $4 over Shantae at $20 any day of the week.
Re: Shantae and the Pirate's Curse Finally Shakes its Release Delay Hex
$20 is too rich for my blood. Gonna have to pass.
Re: Square Enix's Latest 3DS RPG Final Fantasy Explorers Won't Support Stereoscopic 3D

Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt Targets An Australian Release
Hope you Aussies have a high tolerance for low framerates. I found it impossible to enjoy the game due to the choppy animation and camera scrolling.

Re: Meme Run is Coming to Troll Your Wii U Very Soon
The gameplay videos they put out are full of copyrighted music and images. I hope they release this game and get taken to court over it.

$10 or less, please!

Re: SPIKEY WALLS is Flapping Its Way Onto the eShop on 18th September
Please stop making Wii U games @RCMADIAX. You'll make more money if you develop for the PS4 and Xbox One instead.
Re: Review: Dedede's Drum Dash Deluxe (3DS eShop)
I really enjoyed this minigame in Triple Deluxe, even though getting all S ranks murdered my thumbs LOL.

Re: Poptropica: Forgotten Islands is One for the 3DS Kids This October
It's amazing how bad Ubisoft is at making games. If I was this bad at my job, I would quit out of embarrassment and try to find a new line of work.
Re: Tappingo 2 Release Pushed Back a Week on Nintendo of America's Advice
I liked Tappingo, but I'm not sure if I really feel the need for a sequel, unless it expands upon the original's mechanics in a significant way.

Re: Thorium Wars: Attack of the Skyfighter Takes Flight on 3DS eShop on 28th August
Same day as Gunvolt? Gonna have to pass. I'll maybe consider buying it down the line, but only if there's a demo.
Re: Watch Dogs Will be the Only "Mature" Ubisoft Game on Wii U in Upcoming Lineup
I might've bought them if they didn't do such a terrible job porting them.
Re: Night Trap ReVamped Developer May Flip-Flop on its Wii U Decision
Please don't. Crap like this doesn't belong on Nintendo systems.
Re: Azure Striker Gunvolt Blasts Onto 3DS eShop on 29th August
I was expecting $20, so I guess I'm satisfied with this news.
Re: The Console Wars Live On As Night Trap Remake Team Holds a Grudge Against Nintendo
Night Trap was basically the The Letter of its day. The Wii U is better off not being polluted by garbage like this.
Re: Review: SHUT THE BOX (Wii U eShop)
A seven for this garbage???

Catrap is the best game on the original Game Boy
Re: Mega Man Soundtrack Volumes 1-10 Announced for the West

Looks really cool. Hopefully it supports the Wii Remote. Playing 360° shooter with a joystick is an exercise in frustration.

Nintendo really needs to step in and stop stupid crap like this game and The Letter from being released. Games like these are giving the eShop a bad name.
Re: Curve Studios Is Bringing Spooky Puzzle Title The Swapper To The Wii U eShop
This NEEDS to have Wiimote support for aiming your swapper gun. Using the joystick would be extremely frustrating.
Re: Steel Empire Blasting A Path To The North American 3DS eShop Next Week
It's too expensive
Re: Weirdness: The Cyberith Virtualizer Combines Wii Remote Controls, Oculus Rift and a Treadmill
Not sure about the treadmill, but I'm convinced Wiimote-style controls mixed with VR is the future of gaming.

Re: Review: Armillo (Wii U eShop)
I hear they're working on a patch to fix the framerate issues... may hold out on buying until that gets done.
Re: The eShop Is "A Great Place To Be" And Packed With Unique Experiences, Say Curve Studios
Gimme gimme more Fluidity! Even if it's just an up port of Spin Cycle on Wii U with an upgraded framerate. I'd gladly buy it again!
