@burninmylight Yeah, it's honestly a massive shame that there's actually a ton of circumstances that'll probably prevent the game from seeing the light of day again, because it's a genuinely great game, one of my personal favorites. But I guess it's still something only time will tell. Maybe a Wii emulator will get commercialized at some point which would make things way easier. I don't think Tatsunoko's against working with Capcom again, either.
In the meantime, atleast there's that HxH game coming out soon by the same team that'll hopefully fill the void for now.
@burninmylight It's not so much a control issue and more of a engine issue. The way TvC was built heavily relies on Wii's GPU (which is a bit of an anomaly itself) moreso than other games on the system for it to function. They'd basically have to rebuild the whole game from the ground up to put it elsewhere, meaning it likely wouldn't even the same game at that point.
So not necessarily "impossible", but I'll be amazed if they actually put in that effort, considering these fighting compilations just rely on emulation instead.
jvgsjeff is awesome. I watch a lot of his videos on Youtube, and IMO, he’s by far the best AC content creator out there.
And yeah, the Gamecube AC is my favorite one in the series. Even with the advancements NL have, I still find the original the most charming and atmospheric one in the series. It felt more like a second life rather than another social simulator.
It always mystifies me when a game as bad as this ends up getting a rerelease randomly. It’s like how Drake of the 99 Dragons got a rerelease on Steam. People didn’t like it back then, so what’s the point of releasing it again if you ain’t gonna improve anything?
I’m expecting a Ride to Hell: Retribution port at some point, lol
Both this article and this comment section are so bad, especially the article, lol.
I never played Sunshine so I can't say anything about my opinion on it, but it looks more interesting than say 3D Land. That said, I have little interest in a remaster of it of any sorts. I'd buy it, but It's not really something I'd desire.
I like the Japanese lineup more. Goemon ftw and Panel de Pon is a nice addition too. I also would have rather took Fire Emblem over Earthbound especially since I never liked the latter, lol. Kinda glad we got Kirby Dream Course over that Soccer game, though.
Cool. Not really that hyped for the game (at least not anymore), but I'll still give it a shot when it comes out, so it's nice to know when the release date is.
Meh, there's already a PAC-MAN maze editor called "Worlds Biggest Pac-Man" so I can't really be hyped for this if this is true.
Personally, I would like another 3D platformer. Something like Pac-Man World 4 or hell, even a Ghostly Adventures 3 (Say what you will about the designs, but I thought those games were fun)
Not really surprised this happened. I remember an similar incident happening with Deadpool and a couple of other Marvel gamed Actvision published on PSN and Xbox Live, I think? If I remember correctly, those games came back on those services a little later afterwards. If that was the case, then I'm sure the games will come back on the Eshop in a similar fashion, eventually.
Wow, that's kinda sad. That just says how irreverent the Wii U is nowadays. Makes me wonder if Yooka-Laylee's Wii U version will be cancelled for a Switch version.
Sweet, was gonna get this on the Wii U, since I missed out on it, but now, I think I'll wait until this Switch port comes out before getting it. Hopefully, they'll fix the load times.
As much as I enjoyed my Wii U, I'm not really sure if I can agree that it deserved better. It wasn't really powerful compared to other consoles this gen, had little advertising, and the Gamepad was a bit of a unnecessary gimmick. That said, it had a lot of great games on it. Hopefully the Switch will have a library with a lot of quality games like the Wii U's own, while fixing the Wii U's flaws.
Game looks awesome, but the whole control stick issues sounds really problematic. I'll just get the Wii Virtual Console version, which thankfully, because I live in NA, runs at 60Hz! Hooray!
Poor Wii U. It's a huge shame that it didn't end up selling well, because it's a really nice console, despite it's flaws. Hopefully, it won't end up being a forgotten console.
It's a huge shame what happened to Renesas as well.

Re: Sega Trademarks Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Or maybe they’re just renewing a trademark.
I honestly don’t get why people speculate trademarks so much, since they’re usually just so they can keep the rights for their products.

Re: Video: Nintendo Minute Shows Off More Of Super Mario Maker 2's Creation Mode
God, this game looks so much better than the first, that it’s not even funny.

Re: Fantasy RPG Legend Of The Tetrarchs Brings Turn-Based Battling To Switch Next Week
These Kemco RPGs are depressing. I remember when they actually used to make games that clearly had a budget, even they weren’t too great.
Another Dragon View would be sweet...
Re: Bug Fables Looks Like The Paper Mario Game We've Been Waiting For
Ugh, never liked it when indies try to replicate games made by larger and more experienced developers. They're never as fun as the real thing to me.
That being said, this doesn't actually look too bad, so I guess it's good that PM64/TTYD fans finally get something close to an successor.
Looks like I'm gonna have to wait even longer for a SPM successor, though. le sigh
Re: Move Over Baby Mario, Coffin Dodgers Is Bringing Geriatric Kart Racing To Switch
Played this on Steam a while ago. Definitely gotta with most people here that it’s piece of doodoo. Luckily for me, I had gotten it for free. 😛
Re: Crime Classic L.A. Noire Is Sleuthing Its Way To Switch This Year
Ugh, no thanks. L.A. Noire has to be one of my least favorite Rockstar games ever, so I'm skipping this.
Nice to know Rockstar's supporting the Switch at least, though.

Re: Pac-Man Vs. is Included in Namco Museum for Nintendo Switch
Cool, but how the hell are we gonna play this without a second screen?

Cool. Not really that hyped for the game (at least not anymore), but I'll still give it a shot when it comes out, so it's nice to know when the release date is.
Re: Today's Super Bomberman R Update Includes Four Battle Mode Stages And Two Accessories
@Dakt I agree with you 100%, tbh.
Anyways, glad to know Konami's putting a lot of support for this game.

Re: Capcom is Running a Sale on All Monster Hunter Games on the North American eShop
Neat sale. Been meaning to play a Monster Hunter game, so maybe I'll get 3 Ultimate on Wii U
Re: SEGA Unveils New Footage and Details on Sonic Mania
Looks pretty good so far. I'm not exactly as excited for this game as most other people are, but I'll still make sure to play it.
Re: Pokémon Snap Listed for North American Wii U eShop Release on 5th January
Cool, always wanted to play Pokemon Snap. I'll probably get it as soon as it gets rerelease here.
Re: Activision's Amazing Spider-Man Games Make A Sharp Exit From The Wii U eShop

If not... well, there's always retail copies.
Re: Limited Numbers of Nintendo Switch Preview Invites Offered to US My Nintendo Members
Sounds sweet. Thankfully, I got an email, so hopefully I'll be able to get an invite.

Wow, that's kinda sad. That just says how irreverent the Wii U is nowadays. Makes me wonder if Yooka-Laylee's Wii U version will be cancelled for a Switch version.

Re: Review: F-Zero X (Wii U / N64)
@cleveland124 I wasn't planning on doing that, so that wouldn't be much of an issue for me, so don't worry.
Re: Review: F-Zero X (Wii U / N64)
Game looks awesome, but the whole control stick issues sounds really problematic. I'll just get the Wii Virtual Console version, which thankfully, because I live in NA, runs at 60Hz! Hooray!
Re: Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Hitting the North American Wii U eShop This Week
Sweet! Can't wait to try this out again! Loved playing this game back in 2009. Wish it was cheaper, though.
Re: Rumour: Last Wii U Consoles Roll Off The Production Line This Week
That sucks. Oh, well. At least I had mine since launch.
Still, it could have lasted much longer...
Re: Here Are Your New My Nintendo Rewards
Lame, I don't expect this service to last long if they keep giving us these crappy "rewards".
Re: Just Dance 2017's Best-Selling Version is on Wii
What? That's surprising. I honestly thought the Wii version would be the worst selling version, but I guess not.
Re: Weirdness: Official Channel Pitches Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice as a Romantic Comedy
... Meh, they made way more funnier videos before this.
Re: Nintendo Isn't The Only Company Impacted By The Failure Of The Wii U

Re: Interview: Learning More About Ectoplaza, A Spooky Wii U Multiplayer Game for Halloween
This game looks kinda confusing. I'm not sure what the objective of the game other than smashing in to each other. Looks like it could be fun, though.
Re: Michel Ancel Discovers and Showcases Rayman on SNES
Neat. Hope he releases some footage of it.
Re: Nintendo Switch Will Be a Single-Screen Experience
Eh, didn't really care for the two screen gimmick, so I'm not annoyed by this.
Makes me wonder how they're going to handle Splatoon on it, though.
Re: Poll: What Do You Think of the Nintendo Switch?
It looks really cool, and seems to fixed some of the problems with the Wii U. I'm definitely planning on getting this at some point.
... Wish they kept the name NX, though. That name was so much cooler.
Re: Say Hello to the Nintendo Switch, a New Concept for Gaming
Omg, This looks so cool.
Re: Preview Trailer of the Nintendo NX Confirmed for 20th October
It's about time they show this thing off. Hopefully, it won't disappoint.
Re: Review: Pirate Pop Plus (Wii U eShop)
Doesn't look too bad. Seems more fitting on 3DS than on the Wii U, though, so I'll probably get that version.
Re: Review: Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure (3DS eShop)
Loved this game on PC. I think I might buy it again on 3DS to support the developers. Makes me want a sequel.
Re: Editorial: Some Context on the Nintendo NX 'This Week' Claims
I've waiting for this reveal for so long, that I'm almost not even expecting the NX to be released at this point, tbh.
Re: Oceanhorn, A Game Inspired by The Wind Waker, Confirmed for 'A Nintendo Console'
I remember hearing about this game awhile ago. Looks fun, but I'll probably just get it off Steam or something.
Re: Kirby Canvas Curse and Animal Crossing: Wild World Hit the Wii U VC This Week
Omg, yes! Kirby: Canvas Curse was a game I've been wanting to play again after so long. Totally gonna get it again!
So been meaning to get into the Animal Crossing series, so Wild World seems like a good game to start with.
Re: Random: Paper Mario: Color Splash Has an Iffy Issue in its Battle System
Oh, that sounds kinda like a big annoyance.
Hopefully, It'll be patched soon. I can imagine myself getting into a similar situation in this game.
Re: 13AM Games Reveals More Information About Runbow

... Yeah, I'll pass. The physical copy of the Wii U version looks tempting, though.
Re: Extremely Rare Nintendo Arcade Unit, Monkey Magic, Spotted in Japanese Auction
What a creepy looking game. Can't believe Nintendo made this.
Re: Yooka-Laylee Will Be Getting a Boxed Release
Sweet. I don't have that much storage on my Wii U, so it's nice to know I can get it physically.
Re: Satellaview Exclusive BS Zelda: The Ancient Stone Tablets Dubbed Into English
Nice. Might try this out at some point.
Re: Random: Mario Is Younger Than His Mighty Moustache Suggests
I honestly used to think he was around his 40s. :/
Still, that seems like a logical age for him to be.
Re: Weirdness: Gummy Super Mario Maker Looks Like More Trouble Than It's Worth
I'll gladly take this over the 3DS version, tbh.
