Re: Capcom Says There Might Be An Opportunity For A New MvC Game

@burninmylight Yeah, it's honestly a massive shame that there's actually a ton of circumstances that'll probably prevent the game from seeing the light of day again, because it's a genuinely great game, one of my personal favorites. But I guess it's still something only time will tell. Maybe a Wii emulator will get commercialized at some point which would make things way easier. I don't think Tatsunoko's against working with Capcom again, either.

In the meantime, atleast there's that HxH game coming out soon by the same team that'll hopefully fill the void for now.

@burninmylight It's not so much a control issue and more of a engine issue. The way TvC was built heavily relies on Wii's GPU (which is a bit of an anomaly itself) moreso than other games on the system for it to function. They'd basically have to rebuild the whole game from the ground up to put it elsewhere, meaning it likely wouldn't even the same game at that point.

So not necessarily "impossible", but I'll be amazed if they actually put in that effort, considering these fighting compilations just rely on emulation instead.

Re: Review: Blades Of Time - A Wonky Action Title That Belongs In The Past

It always mystifies me when a game as bad as this ends up getting a rerelease randomly. It’s like how Drake of the 99 Dragons got a rerelease on Steam. People didn’t like it back then, so what’s the point of releasing it again if you ain’t gonna improve anything?

I’m expecting a Ride to Hell: Retribution port at some point, lol

Re: Bug Fables Looks Like The Paper Mario Game We've Been Waiting For

YoshiParty

Ugh, never liked it when indies try to replicate games made by larger and more experienced developers. They're never as fun as the real thing to me.

That being said, this doesn't actually look too bad, so I guess it's good that PM64/TTYD fans finally get something close to an successor.

Looks like I'm gonna have to wait even longer for a SPM successor, though. le sigh

Meh, there's already a PAC-MAN maze editor called "Worlds Biggest Pac-Man" so I can't really be hyped for this if this is true.

Personally, I would like another 3D platformer. Something like Pac-Man World 4 or hell, even a Ghostly Adventures 3 (Say what you will about the designs, but I thought those games were fun)

Re: Activision's Amazing Spider-Man Games Make A Sharp Exit From The Wii U eShop

YoshiParty

Not really surprised this happened. I remember an similar incident happening with Deadpool and a couple of other Marvel gamed Actvision published on PSN and Xbox Live, I think? If I remember correctly, those games came back on those services a little later afterwards. If that was the case, then I'm sure the games will come back on the Eshop in a similar fashion, eventually.

If not... well, there's always retail copies.

Re: Editorial: The Wii U Has Been Nintendo's Lowest Selling Home Console; It Deserved Better

YoshiParty

As much as I enjoyed my Wii U, I'm not really sure if I can agree that it deserved better. It wasn't really powerful compared to other consoles this gen, had little advertising, and the Gamepad was a bit of a unnecessary gimmick. That said, it had a lot of great games on it. Hopefully the Switch will have a library with a lot of quality games like the Wii U's own, while fixing the Wii U's flaws.

Game looks awesome, but the whole control stick issues sounds really problematic. I'll just get the Wii Virtual Console version, which thankfully, because I live in NA, runs at 60Hz! Hooray!
